As the year winds down, it’s easy to fill our days with good things that crowd out what God’s truly calling us to do. In this week’s episode, Alyssa shares three practical steps to help you simplify your business without losing productivity — and make more room for peace and purpose.

Theresa specializes in helping women simplify their business strategies to increase income without feeling overwhelmed. She emphasizes focusing on mastering one social media platform at a time rather than trying to be active on multiple platforms, which can be time-consuming and ineffective.

The conversation highlights key strategies for social media success, such as mastering mundane tasks like audience growth and lead generation. Teresa shares her insights on the importance of building an engaged community, especially using Facebook groups, and explains how to use events as a tool to attract the right audience and drive engagement. She encourages listeners to be consistent in lead generation, content creation, and sales efforts, suggesting that business owners plan two events—one for November and one for December—to stay focused on year-end goals.

Theresa also advises entrepreneurs to create conversations with potential clients around the topic of their events, even before the event occurs, allowing them to start building relationships and offering their products or services early. The episode wraps up with practical tips for Christian authors, speakers, and coaches on how to use social media platforms strategically to expand their reach and grow their businesses. When I first started out on my journey, I resigned from my part-time position in ministry to stay at home with my children and pursue writing and speaking as a career. This lasted a few years, but because of increasing expenses for our children, I took on the responsibility of contributing to our household financially and became a virtual assistant. Being a VA is a rewarding and wonderful career for me, and I plan to continue in it for years to come. As a result of this success, I felt led to share with other women how they too could contribute financially to their households by becoming a virtual assistant.

This led me to create a course, the Become a Virtual Assistant course; a podcast, The Virtual Assistant Advantage podcast; and a free Facebook group by the same name. I have poured myself into this community for the last twelve years. It has been a huge part of my life.

Unfortunately, this has also prevented me from pursuing my goals of writing and speaking as much as I would like, and ultimately I still feel a very strong call upon my life to write and speak. Recently, God revealed to me a path to take in order to make this a reality in my life once again, but it involves stepping away from the virtual assistant training community that I have built. This has not been an easy decision to make. I have met so many amazing women during the past 12 years, and I have been able to watch many of you start and grow your own virtual assistant businesses. This has been a tremendous blessing in my life.

As of April 1, 2023, I will be stepping away from this community to focus on writing and speaking more. I will also continue to serve the authors, speakers, and coaches to whom I provide virtual assistant services. That part of my business will not change.

Because I don’t want to leave you without resources, I wanted to point you to a couple of my favorites and remind you that I have written a book, FaithLeaps: The Christian Mom’s Guide to Starting a Virtual Assistant Business, that you can grab as a resource as well.

A wonderful resource that I used when I first got started as a Virtual Assistant is VANetworking, with the amazing Tawyna Sutherland. She has always been a wonderful resource and mentor to me and I highly recommend her programs.

Also, I would love to keep in touch with you. You can follow me on my new author Instagram account or my author Facebook page.

I wish you the very best and hope that you will keep in touch. Blessings to you.

In today's episode, we are answering the question, "What is a funnel anyway?" For an online business owner, a sales funnel is probably the most important marketing tool you have. And yet many entrepreneurs - both new and established - have no clear understanding of what a funnel is or how it works.

As you can imagine, failing to fully understand this critical part of your business means fewer sales, lower profits, and ultimately, an unstable business.

Also, this episode marks the 52nd episode of the podcast meaning we are celebrating our 1 year anniversary!  Thanks to all my loyal listeners.
