Everything about God is perfect, so when we look at the wrath of God, we must see it through a lens, that God is perfect and therefore His wrath is always justified.

How he is everlasting, and how his nature and being is infinite and so, subject to no mutations, meaning there will never be a change in his DNA sequence or genome editing.

In this special edition Christmas episode, Madz Deyzel dives into The Heart of God. Madz speaks about how before we had ever thought about God, He had thought about us and He had already set out His plans for us. Madz also speaks about how hard it is to live in a world so full of hurt and still trust that God has His good plans in place.
In talking about the power of proximity, Jason touches on the distinction between being a son and a servant. He shares from Galatians 4:6-7 "And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" So you are no longer a slave, but a son and since you are a son, you are also an heir through God."
Sons are family-oriented; servants are issue or ministry-oriented. Sons are sent, servants just went. Servant: “That’s not my job.” Son: “Someone needs to do it. Why not me?” Servants will split the family over disagreements or issues. Servants will attempt to draw people to his or her side. Sons are interested in the father’s agenda rather than in “doing his own thing.” Sons are “privilege” oriented; servants are “rights” oriented. Sons release rights and receive them back as privileges.
Vernon speaks about Blind Bartimaeus. Bartimaeus' story is a remarkable story of faith, healing, persistence, and Jesus' divine compassion. The restoration of Bartimaeus' sight serves as a symbol of Jesus' ability to bring wholeness and restoration to everyone, including those whom society has forgotten.

Rights refer to entitlements by law and custom, while privileges refer to special advantages or opportunities granted by power, authority, or circumstance. Jesus has fought for and laid down His life for all of humanity to have certain rights, but far too often we look at these rights as privileges that are reserved for a select few, or that we need to perform in order to attain them.
Galatians 4:4 But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.
In celebration of NCCB's 44th Birthday, Ash unpacks the vision for NCCB, why we exist, and speaks to the congregational dynamic that God is creating in us. He then unpacks a creative vision from Isaiah 54:2-4, and Acts 1:8.
Ash unpacks the truth of the gospel message. As believers, it's vital that we know and understand the truth of the gospel message. He also contrasts Christianity with other religions in the world. It's good for us to be aware of the theologies that have been created to confuse people.
"If you were to die today, and you were to stand before God and He were to say to you, why should I let you into heaven? What would you say?"
Ash teaches on Fasting and the importance of importunity. Fasting is focusing our minds and our bodies for spiritual reasons. Fasting without prayer and meditation will just be days spent hungry. Ash encourages us to consider Isaiah 58 while fasting, we must be sure that we don't lose track of what God is asking us to do.

Gareth asks some challenging questions about who we are becoming and what have we placed at the center of our lives. He lays out five principles to help us get back to the basics of being a follower of Jesus.

Stuart looks at Genesis chapter 1 and contrasts the chaos (Tohu Va-Vohu) with the order God was bringing into the word. He points out the similarities between the creation account and the church's beginnings and how in both situations God is bringing order from chaos. God is doing that now in our lives, through the process of sanctification, we are becoming like Christ.
Ashley highlights the importance of generosity, God's heart behind biblical generosity, as well as how we as believers and as the church should live lives of generosity. Ash unpacks the differences between tithes and offerings, as well as the various other forms of generosity.
Trevor shares how amazing it is that we get to be friends of God! What does it mean to be in His love, to remain in His love? Regardless of where you are at, Jesus died for you and wants you to be His friend.
Trevor gives us some reflective questions to ask. After listening to the message, ask the Holy Spirit these same questions:
- Holy Spirit, what is it you want me to know about my true identity?
- Holy Spirit, would you reveal to me where I'm not living in Truth?
- Where in my life am I not feeling loved?
- Where in my life am I not trusting you?
- Where in my life do I think I'm not good enough?
- Where in my life am I listening to the wrong voice?
- Holy Spirit, what do you want me to do about what I now know?
Why is generosity important? What insights does the Bible offer about being generous, and where does it first come up? Ash dives into the concept of generosity, empowering us to manage our finances in alignment with God's kingdom.
Our gifts are not to be measured by the amount we contribute, but by the surplus kept in our own hand. The two mites of the widow were, in Christ’s eyes, worth more than all the other money cast into the treasury, for “she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.”

Ash, following last week's message on forgiveness, teaches from Matthew 18:23-27 on how we are compelled to forgive anyone who asks for mercy. Forgiveness is first a decision, and not first an emotion. Even though we forgive, we will not necessarily forget, but God will remove the pain of it.
"Mercy delivers us from what we deserve, grace gives us what we do not deserve."
Ash delves into the importance of forgiveness when standing before God, praying. We so often want to make people pay for our forgiveness, but what does forgiveness really mean? To forgive means to put away or to send away an unintentional error or willful transgression.
Forgiveness is simply a gift of freedom.

Ash continues in his series on prayer and God's decrees. Today he is speaking from two primary scriptures, James 5:16 (the fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much) and Mark 11:12-14 (Jesus curses the fig tree) and encourages us to have faith in God!
In continuing the series on God's Decrees, Ash delves into the profound impact of prayer and the vital importance of understanding who God is. Ash explores the concept of God's omnipresence, His ability to exist everywhere simultaneously. He also touches on God's omnipotence, His limitless power, and boundless influence. Lastly, there is the profound meaning of God's omniscience, recognizing His all-knowing nature.
Ash lays foundations for the series on God's decrees. What is a decree from God? A decree is an order He has put in place so that things are set in order. God has given us His will, we need to walk confidently in it.

Vernon speaks about identity in Christ from the book of Genesis 1:26 & 27 and the story of Gideon. It's amazing that God called Gideon a mighty warrior while he was still hiding in the winepress. Only the One who made you has the authority to identify you.

Paul encourages us to ensure that when we read the bible, we are not letting our culture and worldview influence the truth contained in scripture, and then to take that truth, believe it, keep on believing it, and live it out.

We as believers are all called to some general things: we are all called to be conformed to the image of Christ, to freedom, to sanctification, to holiness and to be a part of the church. Stuart speaks about how being faithful in the general calling of God leads to fruitfulness in the specific calling on our lives.

Following Josh Henry's message last week, Trevor speaks from James 3:13-18 and contrasts the effects of earthly wisdom and heavenly wisdom and how that relates to meekness.
James 3:13-18 (ESV): Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. 15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
God is looking, he is searching for tender hearts to steward mighty things. The greater the character of the listener, the greater the clarity that comes from the word of God. Josh unpacks the concept of meekness and why it is important, especially in the church.

Trevor draws attention to the 3-meter-tall example of Goliath positioned behind him on stage. He then asks us two key questions: What is your battle? How will you win? In the kingdom of God, a battle is never only fought for a person, but a people. Trevor also draws attention to the process of transition, it always starts with adversity which claims illegitimate authority, the only legitimate authority is that ordained by God, which then leads to victory.

Most dreams are symbolic and this pop-up session will bring clarity on where your dreams come from and how to interpret the different symbols to bring understanding. We need both skill and revelation from the Holy Spirit to interpret our dreams and the Scriptures are foundational in this interpretative process. We will look at some examples of dreams and cover topics like the difference between visions and dreams, the structure of dreams, why the opening scene of a dream is important, how to handle warning dreams and dreams of dying and how important colours and numbers are in a dream. God is speaking to many of us through our dreams and has given us the ability to understand them. Movies and TV have a massive microphone of influence on our culture today, often drowning out messages of faith with the world's agenda. In this workshop, we will be exploring story construction, thematic language and a basic idea of narrative structure through the lens of modern faith-based storytelling. Married couple Carine and Luke Rous have been active in the film and TV industry in South Africa for 15 years. Carine is a SAFTA award-winning actress (best actress in a comedy 2018) while Luke has produced over 300 hours of prime-time content. They were part of the team who pioneered the short film-making competition “The Good Story” in their local church community, and their love for storytelling is something they are excited to share.

Marc preaches about how the sharing of the good news of the gospel has a chain reaction in our lives and the lives of everyone around us. “The good news is not meant to be muzzled or held closely, it’s meant to be shared with others”. If we are believers of Jesus, we have something that the world needs. Marc unpacks why we tell others — because we have a testimony of the goodness of God and that it will change everything.
Ash unpacks the theme of “resisting evil” as in the Alpha course by Nicky Gumble. There are familiar icons that shape our perception of heaven and hell, of God and satan, which expose us to false narratives parading as truth. We look at the fruits of the spirit in comparison to the carnal, evil nature of the flesh. The Bible describes how satan disguises himself in attempt to twist the truth. But our souls are continually in the process of sanctification — how do we resist evil in pursuit of sanctification?

Tying up this week was Wally’s message on how everything we do in this life has to have an active element which aims to reconcile people to the heart of God. Regardless of what we perceive to be our ‘calling’, we are already called to be witnesses and ambassadors of the gospel in our daily lives!
