Aya was born and raised in Tyre (Sur) Lebanon. She moved to the United States at the age of 13 in 2006. At the age of 30 (she looks 20) she has found, through loss, a new perspective about herself and how she sees the world. This will be a bit different from my other podcasts. It get heavy and "real" pretty quickly. I don't think either one of us saw that coming when we started. I can guarantee you will be touched by the words of this wonderful young woman and, I believe, you may see a bit, if not, a lot of yourself in her words. Thank you again Aya.

In this episode Kellie and I share a lot of laughs and antics that only an educator and theatre gal have. She has done so much in her life that has brought joy and "the best" out of people she knows. Today my guest is Mark Lindquist. He is an Air Force veteran, motivational speaker, has sung the Star Spangled Banner at countless NFL games and other sporting events throughout the country, and is running for political office. Mark also suffers from depression and he has joined me today to share his life and the struggles he and many people face with their mental health. You will get to hear how he challenges himself to be better physically and mentally every day. He can’t do it alone and he knows that. So he is brave enough to share how “reaching out” is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength we all can strive to achieve. Dawn has had many detours in life and has always found a way to put a positive spin on them. As a little girl she wanted to be a chiropractor and took many advanced courses in high school. Yet, she also had the dream of dancing and performing. She started with lessons at the age of 4. Through out her life she has been a wonderful wife, mother, teacher, choreographer, dancer, and supporter of all of those she meets. When she was twelve Mary “knew” she would own a bunch of horses some day. Well, that didn’t happen, but throughout her life of “twists and turns” she has been a professional writer and editor, a high school teacher, education director for her local church, and worked for an oil and gas media start up company, along with a few other jobs (don’t ask her about retail :). She also loves to explore old houses and find ways to bring them back to life. To this day, many of them inspire her writing. Thank you for joining me on this amazing journey that is Mary’s life.

Craig seems to have done it all while traveling the country. Susan has a truly event filled life: She has lived in Spain, Germany, and the USA while her father was in the military. Creating new companies with her business background and creative ideas are her passion. Who knows, maybe some day she will become that chef or race car drive. She calls Fargo her home.
This journey through Linda's life was amazing.She is a woman who quit performing at an early age because she blew a line to one that started back up again later in life and performs on a regular basis. Linda is basically a self taught accountant who does great work for a variety of non-profits and other companies. Recently Linda won her battle with cancer (I don't think she missed a show the whole time) and is an inspiration to everyone she meets.

If you have been to a Redhawks game in the past 7 years you had to see this young lady who has a smile for everyone and just exudes a positive aura. She is my first guest who knew what she wanted to do as an adult when she was a child. Although she has a lot of life left to live and I am sure many more detours in her path you will enjoy how she went from "making" her friends do school work instead of play time to an educator who loves her job.
Drea says she is "only" a choir teacher. That is definitley not the case. You will have a wonderful time hearing of all her adventures. My favorite was "the old building where she taught music" early in her career.
