Most books are like visitors. They come and go. This book can be a long-term companion and assistant as you weave prayer into the tapestry of your life. Weaving Prayer Into the Tapestry of Life pictures each of us as a weaver at a loom, creating in every moment our life's tapestry. The transformative thread of prayer is always available to be woven into our life's design. In this weaving, we experience in wonder the creative presence of God. The chapters of this book gives an overview of Christian understanding and practice of prayer. The author combines Scripture, voices and sources from the tradition of the church, poetry, stories, and accounts of personal experience to explore ten of the most familiar ways Christians pray. These are: centering, praise, confession, meditative reading of Scripture, petition, intercession, dedication, silence, and benediction. Nine sets of Prayer Prompts, one with each chapter, invite you to move from thinking to doing. They provide a framework for personal devotion that includes all of the dimensions of Christian prayer discussed in the chapters. Resources from Scripture, prayers of the church, and contemporary materials offer structure and stimulus for expressing the prayers of your heart. These Prayer Prompts are adaptable for repeated use. Members of a prayer group or spiritual growth group may enjoy sharing experiences with this book. "Martha Rowlett deeply understands Christian thinking, Christian living, Christian prayer, and, dare I say it, God. She shares her wisdom with utmost simplicity. Those who use her book will find themselves becoming better Christians" -John Cobb, professor emeritus, Claremont School of Theology

This is a story written to give parents a tool to help their children realize the true message of Christmas. While the traditions of Christmas can smother the true message of Christ that parents desire to emphasize, this story will guide their children as they realize the truth and follow their hearts as God draws them to Himself. The story takes place as a child named Brayla journey's through the confusion of the mixed message that can come along with the Christmas celebration. The conclusion brings resolution to the heartache that comes as some of these traditions may bring disappointment and mistrust from children for the confusion and mixed message. Many blessings to all who will enjoy this special book!

Our universe is one of many, but there are few who truly understand what that means. Lucy Haddad and Joey Sanders do, and their friendship and seemingly supernatural connection might have the power to change the world. The pair met when they were children, and Lucy was the only person who could bring Joey, an autistic savant, out of his shell. Their bond was unique, and their accomplishments were remarkable. As adults, they went their separate ways for a time, but fate brought them back together.

Presented as one hundred thirty-eight narrative-style poems, some of which are rhyming and others are in prose or blank verse, Reflections on Mountaineering, A Journey Through Life as Experienced in the Mountains, a FIFTH EDITION, Revised and Expanded summarizes much of what the author, Alan V. Goldman, learned in his more than 30 years of climbing, either from personal experience, or from his mountaineering peers. Mr. Goldman came to realize that many of the same moral issues that confront us in everyday life are likewise present in the high mountains, only to a sharper degree. Still, many of the poems reflect on themes and situations that are peculiarly prominent in the mountain environment.

Between the years of 1944 and 1963, Dr. Colm McAindriu was just a kid, a Black kid living in the Jim Crow Mississippi Delta. His story brings to light what living day and night under the threat of death looks like for a Black kid in this era. Should he look at the white girl, or dream of her and tell someone or be caught doing so? His mother forced him to help her raise her remaining 12 children and demanded that he kill his prized pig to feed her family. McAindriu's childhood was rife with small moments of joy and learning, coupled with working in cottonfields, pain both physical and emotional, and being the Man of the House.

After you read my book, you can see I am an ordinary man. For some reason, God wanted me to live. You can read all the things that happened and didn't happen. They can't be explained away by science, medicine, physics, the law of averages, or luck. There clearly is only one way to explain it: God laid his hand on me and protected me and healed me, and finally I got the message that I should tell the world to open your eyes. He didn't die two thousand years ago, and that's it. The media never dwell on the positive things every day. Just start looking for yourself. He is still here.

But Is He Jewish? is divided into three sections. The first section, "Quirky Tales," consists of fifty short stories. Although each touches upon some aspect of Jewish life and culture, they deal with such universal themes as love, mortality, courage, coming of age, and the importance of family.
The following section, "Mishegas" (Yiddish for craziness), includes stand-up comedy routines, the philosophical musings of a fictitious rabbi, advice for daily living ("A Guide for the Confused"), "Eighty Questions to Ponder," and nonsensical poetry ("Quit").
The final section, "Animals with Attitudes", features four humorous mini-plays with animals (elephants, lions, housecats, and rhinoceroses) taking on Jewish characteristics and even speaking some Yiddish (translations provided).
In all, But Is He Jewish? provides a delightful reading experience, as it addresses a variety of topics in a mostly humorous but always human manner.

The battle is between two best friends who became enemies over the same woman. The whole situation gets more complicated and reaches its maximum intensity when the woman was encourage by her male friend to move into his house with their young daughter eventually took the husband to court that led to their devoice and the husband becomes a victim.
This book is based on true stories that the author experienced. He recounted his suffering and pain to reveal the true nature of the human mind. In regard to his experiences, the author took into consideration the psychological statement that man’s mind is divided into a conscious and unconscious part. Every good thing is of the conscious part which just occupies a small percentage of the mind whereas the unconscious part dominates a person’s daily activities. As you read the stories, you will begin to understand why the author chose the title “The man on the right side”. His best friend became his worst enemy.
In his arguments, the author wonders if he will ever trust another man’s word. It is the general believe that man thinks from one side of his brain. Most of the time, he is led by his unconscious mind. When he sees the negative outcome of his actions, he regrets it. The man, Suah Kollie, you are going to meet in the stories, is of no exception.

This is a story of love and evil. This is how evil will always try to control good. How a boy has to be a man and how cruel people can be in today's time. This is the story of falling in love with someone and never being able to share that love. How that feeling led that boy to stay in the mental state that he felt robbed of everything he held dear. The war he had was directed at God. He had nothing to live for. If he could see this God, then he could have his revenge for making his life so strange. But he would live through many trials and tribulations and learn that God had another plan for him. It would be a mission impossible. To live by faith and not by sight.

Written for Pastors and serious Bible scholars to give them more time in the Greek text. The first question for the serious Bible scholar should be "What is the text?" Only then are you ready to move on to "What does it mean?" The Sacred Preaching & Writings of St. Peter the Apostle presents the "Received Text" since its inception to present. This is the eclectic text used today for all major translations. The changes over time are color coded Greek script. The textual critic's effort to recover the original autographs is recorded as the top line. Like an interlinear Bible, a level one English translation is provided. Below this in parallel and vertical format are the major Greek Uncials and Papyri published. A few documents take us to within twenty to forty years of the original autographs. The mundane work has been done. Now a study of the text itself can occupy your study. All top line eclectic text verbs have be parsed and the first person indicative form is identified for you.

This book is about a group of young adults whose desire is to see the lion den and capture their images right out of the lions’ natural habitat was more of an unquenchable flame. Led by Dr. Pladoo and their science teacher, Mr. Roberts, the experiential learning was very much welcomed. They learned the practical side of a project as well as a useful learning method and the concepts of math and economics and the elements of the earth.
Lions are territorial beasts, they inhabit a wide range of ecosystems, making their home anywhere there are prey and adequate shelter.
Despite their individual shortcomings, their success was due to their determination and cooperative attitude toward one another and to the leaders. The quest to discover the lion den subsequently led to unimaginable fun and awards.

This is a book for everyone. In using the metaphor comparing the raising of the seed of wheat with that of a baby, the importance of a nurturing environment is presented. Using a poem for structure, accompanied by colorful illustrations that convey the message in each stanza, we can better understand the significance of a good start in life. Knowing that 90% of the brain develops in the months of pregnancy and the first two years of life and that most chronic medical, behavioral, and addiction disorders occur in adults who had dysfunction in this critical period, makes it imperative that every effort be made to educate us all on the importance of good, responsive parenting. It is the attempt of this book to contribute to this greater understanding. Illustrations demonstrating the effects of toxic stress on the brain and sections relating specifically to love, adversity, and resilience have been added because of the impact they have on why we become who we are.

A great deal of history can be learned by reading the policies of our 44 presidents. This publication (45 chapters) describes the military activity prior to the presidency as well as the Commander-in-Chief decisions of each president. Important war battles are described with photographs. For each president there is humor and anecdotes. Of the 44 presidents, 31 had served in the military. Twelve were generals. The most famous were Washington, Jackson, Taylor, Grant, Hays, and Eisenhower. Six Union veterans became presidents, as did 8 who served in World War II. Thirteen presidents would be considered heroes due to their conspicuous gallantry. Other presidents who did not serve in the military, but were effective while serving as Commander-in-Chief during War.

Thomas ventures through a perplexing web of hyperreligious thoughts that ultimately lead him to a mental institution three times. In this true story, Thomas takes you on his personal journey of how his thoughts led him astray and put him in many peculiar situations. After having lost a great career, and now living out of his truck and with charitable people on occasion, he continues to deteriorate, wandering the streets, and sleeping on benches and grass or below bridges.
God was not through with him and was always there, trying to reach Thomas with his still, small voice. He wanted to tell Thomas how much he loved him and the implications and finality of the work of the cross by his Son Jesus. In this book, Thomas shows how a wrong understanding of our loving Father and exalting works over faith and grace was a recipe for disaster in his life. Ultimately, Thomas came back to reality by the grace of God and lives a happy life today back in his career and on his feet again.
This book is for anyone interested in a true story about extreme mental conditions. It is also for those that have dealt with puzzling issues in life, those that seem to get caught in a spinning wheel of dos and don'ts, and whosoever that wants to know that no matter what you are going through, there is a beautiful light at the end of the tunnel. Your mess can become a redeeming message. If you have dealt with depression, discouragement, confusion, and loss, know that you are not alone. Healing and restoration can be yours. Never give up. Every life has an ending untold, and the author and finisher of faith, Jesus, wants to give you the abundant life he came to die to impart to us.

The story of Ruth has been limited and constrained by biblical presentations and interpretations. For too many Christians, Ruth is only known for her "where you go I go" position and her capture of wealthy Boaz. She has been shaped by Christendom to be the epitome of purity that all females should emulate if they desire an honorable and wealthy man as Boaz. However, on closer examination, the steps of Ruth may not be suited for New Testament women. Was the purity of Ruth the key factor in her capture of Boaz? Or was it only a ploy by many in Christendom to ensure the purity of text. The Truth about Ruth fully examines each chapter and key verses to give needed insight lost to readers and hearers by the exclusion of critical contextual information. Eleven little-known or unexplored truths about Ruth are presented to ensure that the reader can factually determine whether Ruth's course of action is one that should be recommended for Christian females. Are the strategies used by Ruth to get her man suitable instruction to girl scouts, teens, and females in general? If not, why not? Is it possible that the ways of Ruth were simply the ways of women in general, with no connection to the attributes that promote purity and holiness? Could it be that the story of Ruth is more appropriate for instruction in how not to get a man rather than the prevailing opposite? Bringing no preconceived ideas to the text, readers will be able to release antiquated dating ideas and embrace the readily applicable truths about Ruth that are appropriate for Christian dating and release those that are antithetical to promoting meaningful relationships that are bound in Christian love and respect for each other.

In this page-turning, choose-your-own-adventure book, children ages three to ten will use their imaginations to explore the key elements of really great stories. As they join in on the search for the perfect bedtime story, they'll answer interactive questions and visit favourite places like Grandma and Grandpa's, the beach, an ice-show, and even the moon! YOU Are a Great Story! empowers children to celebrate and create their own great stories each and every day!
Inspired by the boundless imaginations of my niece and nephews, Casen, Keira and Kesler, this book is dedicated to all those in the Entertainment Industry that were negatively affected, shaken up and displaced by the COVID-19 Pandemic. This is the story of a little girl lost in a very troubled world. Sent away by her mother, abandoned by a loveless father, and landing in a troubled marriage, RoseMarie MacNeil faced brutality and abuse. She tried so hard to make her world seem okay, always pretending things would get better, but growing up, they never did. Not until she made her own path to escape. While raising her four children, she strove fearlessly against the odds to become an independent young woman.
Women today need to be cautious. Never put yourself in a situation where you lose control of yourself and have to depend on any man or woman. The only person you can depend on is you! Take care of you first. RoseMarie's story shows that no one has to stay in a toxic marriage or relationship. There is always a way out. She hopes reading about her life experiences will help others realize they don't have to settle for whoever comes their way. Everyone deserves to be truly loved and treated with respect.

Charles Darwin pointed out that the future evolution of mankind cannot happen through the continuation of the "survival of fittest" ideology. It lies in the courage to stand up like the first animal did and move in a vertical dimension, whereas developing kindness, compassion, and empathy are the hallmark of evolution and truly an inward revolution. This goal can be achieved by delving deeper into ourselves through the simple process of meditation and mindfulness. In this book you will learn the pathway to your inner vastness (i.e., Samadhi, Enlightenment or the "Mercury space") and gain answers to becoming "Souls From Mercury."

We have been endowed with a symbolic brain that helps us adapt to and survive in our natural and man-made worlds. However it is open to both true and false beliefs both of which have impacts on our well-being. Supernatural beliefs may lead to disastrous consequences but continue to exist because they actually serve human survival through their reliance on faith and reduction of stress. So our symbolic brain's readiness for supernatural beliefs is a mixed blessing-but a blessing nevertheless.

The Only Authentic of Persuasion: the Agenda-Spin Model (Authors Press, 2022 )
Man and woman are the persuading animals.
There is no overriding issue more important in most people's daily life, life's pleasures and all of political matters than persuasion.
Many, if not most, matters are largely wholly related to persuasion, defined in this work on the Agenda-Spin theory, as the struggle of people to determine for their chosen audiences: 1. What we talk about and 2. What it means.
Persuasion is not the only determinant in life, and there are some matters mostly outside of persuasive control, such as congenital illness, physical attacks, weather, death, etc. Even these, however, will have elements of choice and certainly vary in spin and/or interpretation.
This work, unlike virtually every other work on this topic, examines persuasion as within the power of the persuader, not as the result of inexorable demands of reality, except in the cases listed above.

Imagine a visit from a friend of yours that has already died but received approval to return to earth from Heaven for one more day.
Mollie envisioned that situation in the middle of the night when an angel appeared before her as a bright light and explained an amazing scenario in which her deceased fiancé returns from Heaven on Christmas Day in order to complete her marriage and accept the consequences. Mollie then awoke from her dream, doubtful of what just happened. Even though she could still see the bright light and the image of the angel, she was sure it was all just a dream. So, she turned on the light next to her bed and only the bright image remained as if she was staring at the sun.
As her eyes adjusted, she looked at the table next to her bed and saw the picture of her fiancé in a frame in the usual place. However, this time there was an object that was never there before. It was a gold band. So, she picked it up to examine and inside the band she noticed her three initials and the words Love, Mollie. It was the band she placed on the ring finger of her deceased fiancé before he was buried. Could it be true? Would he return on Christmas?
Four others would return from Heaven on that very same Christmas. Based upon the miracles performed on that day, the earth will never be the same. Heaven is real.

Southern California, 2019. Eight-year-old African girl Daisy, adopted by a Caucasian gay couple David and Isiah, was feeling excited for her first presentation day at her local elementary school. However, her excitement and presentation were brutally dismissed when the class bully, Billy, and her other classmates shamed her for having a family dynamic that didn't exemplify the popular heteronormative model. She navigated through fighting the internal and external conflicts associated with her parents' relationship to the point where she had a breakdown. With the help of her guidance counselor, she was able to inform others that casting judgment based on one's differences is hurtful, wrong, and demeaning. In the end, all we need is love, and love doesn't see race, color, or gender.

Christine started life as a church girl who abandoned her religious upbringing. She ended up a high school dropout, drug addict, criminal, and victim of sexual assault. Her crooked path continued when she landed in prison. Through it all, her mother prayed. The power of her mother's faith interceded on Christine's behalf when she had lost all hope.
Revealing My Story is told with total transparency. Part memoir and part testimony about the saving grace of God, this book will inspire others who have sinned. Do not lose hope because you, too, can be born again.
Christine's painful story is also intended to inspire and encourage mothers whose children have strayed away from their Christian values. Christine's mother held onto the horns of the altar, fasting, wailing, and travailing on her behalf. Her mother's prayers and unconditional love transformed Christine's life by the grace of God. Don't give up! No matter how difficult, don't stop praying. The Lord is listening and ready to save you from yourself.

Author Daniel M. DeWald was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A combat veteran of the Vietnam War, he is currently a consultant.
The book Grey Feathers is the story of a combat platoon leader's role and responsibilities in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam from 1967 to 1970. The story is derived from the countless after-action reports, personal observations and experiences, interviews, and 4th division magazine articles about this period of the Vietnam War.
It is the intent of this book to describe the events and show how unselfish and brave the unit responded to overcome the overwhelming battle condition odds. It also shows the difficulties of decision-making under fire, whether by an officer or enlisted man. The pressures of battle forced quick decisions and movements. Support units such as the helicopter gunships, F-4 Phantom pilots, supply transporters, armored vehicles, naval artillery, MedEvac helicopters, and field hospitals performed admirably and with distinction. All earned their Grey Feathers.

Job says, "My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle and are spent without hope" (Job 7:6). To all those still looking, I hope you find something herein. For the very words of Jesus are "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you." So, herein I have attempted to relay some of Jesus's words, for He is the master of all things. He writes better than anyone else. So we must publish. We must publish the truth as God sees it and then maybe a little as we see it. Not everyone sees the same, so forgive me if I have overstepped my reach. Only, "if the shoe fits, wear it." We can only receive what the Lord allows us to see and understand. Herein is the basis of life, to spread our understanding and to love our fellow man as ourselves.

Leo Rising is a tale of epic proportions that ties together two lives separated by 13,000 years of change, yet mysteriously bound by destiny and birthright. Kala, high priestess to Inanna the goddess of love and fertility, is a daughter of the Anakim, and descended from the Anunnaki, the gods themselves. As the grand cycle passes from the age of Virgo to the Age of Leo, what has been foretold and feared has now come to be. Kala must defend the ancient mother religion and her homeland at all costs, and prevent the bringers of a new violent religion from usurping her people's culture and freedom. The new religion of the fire-mountain god would bring war and destruction, along with slavery and misogyny in its wake. Thousands of years later, Cassie Bartoli an astronomer at Goldstone Observatory, uncovers a secret that, if allowed to go public, would upset the balance of power, bringing about the end of the present religious and political system. Simultaneously, in southern Iraq, archaeologist Steve Vance unearths an ancient marvel as well as the fabled city of Ellu-Ezinu. He can now prove the Nephelim, the Sons of God written of in Genesis, were not merely a fabled race of giants. Steve also unearths powerful artifacts, but only Cassie is the key to their usage. Together, Cassie and Steve must reveal the unlikely truth to the world before their separate discoveries are forever suppressed from the planet by those who fear the loss of their power.

America's strength as the superpower extraordinaire came from conquering the impossible things, especially those things that, throughout man's history, have been thought of as absolutely impossible, and perhaps pertaining only to the realms of fantasy. Soaring through the sky effortlessly, invention of the ultimate weapon, and unlocking of nature and life's Enigma Code are three such monumental milestones of mankind's biggest successes. These are all the results of American painstaking efforts, admirable ingenuity, and undaunting quests for the unchartered waters. Before these famous successes, there were in fact uncountable epic failures.

The Prophet and the Warrior is historical fiction that follows the Biblical texts of the books of Moses as presented in the King James Bible. This novel enhances the various stories by adding dialogue and expanding the role of various characters. It occasionally diverges from the Biblical text when an alternative context seems more logical to the author. Richard H. Grabmeier's own religious experience prompted him to read the Bible with a more critical eye.

Polly was used to people coming and going at her house at all times of the night because her family ran an Underground Railroad station. Strangely, tonight there was more noise than usual, and Mother said noise was the enemy. That night in June 1857, Mother called urgently for Polly to get down to the secret room and bring water with her.
When Polly was able to get the heavy sloshing bucket down the narrow stairs, she saw Mother kneeling by a young girl who was about Polly's age. Her name was Hattie, and her forehead was beaded with sweat, and she was shaking uncontrollably.
Polly knew they would be friends with all the dangers and adventures that go with running the Underground Railroad.

Throughout the action-packed tales that begin in 1898 and continue through the present day, Flatt offers an entertaining glimpse into the two families’ experiences as they moved from Tennessee to Kentucky, and then to Ohio and back to Tennessee again; married and gave birth to offspring; attempted to survive the challenges surrounding the Great Depression and two world wars; and dealt with killers. Flatt also shares background into his own life as he transformed into a professional musician, married twice, raised children, bought two motorcycles in the same day, retired, and battled health issues. Simon Gelman started to think about writing a book seventeen years ago, at the end of his chairmanship. Initially, he saw quite a few obstacles. His hesitations were related to his lack of knowledge of the English language, lack of knowledge of American culture, and lack (rather a complete absence) of experience in writing nonmedical text. Over the years, the conceived idea was maturing, and the question of whether writing the book or not gradually converted into how to write it. Gelman managed to overcome the uncertainties and decided just to tell the story.

Enjoy two love stories out of Africa, each in a different country and era. The first concerns a young English widow left penniless in one of Sudan's worst refugee camps. Love grows amid the horror of total poverty with refugees attacked by a warlord juggling to acquire oil under the camp in today's heartless rush for oil. In contrast, is love growing in 1930's Ethiopia during the luxury afforded by Haile Selassie's coronation, when an American teenage orphan is aided by a heroic British officer during the horrific war that follows.

If we look closely at the people God used in the Old Testament, we will notice that many of them failed God at some point. They messed up badly, and God still used them. Even in the New Testament, there are people who messed up, and God used them to build His kingdom and church.
God has used and will continue to use "messed-up people," and many such are found in the genealogy of Jesus and also referenced in Hebrews 11, who were broken and really messed up.

Richard H. Grabmeier's own religious experience prompted him to read the Bible with a more critical eye

The years is AD 1147. King Arthur of Britain is still an unseasoned monarch. He has yet to meet his betrothed, Guinevere, and Camelot is still a little more than an idea in his mind. He is visited at the castle by a gentleman who brings him an astonishing tale of an astonishing woman—the Naked Queen of Tabithia. The man is named Darien, and he is the queen’s son, soon to be ruler of Tabithia. But before he can reign, he must learn the secret behind the singular events that have shaped his life. As the two converse, Arthur begins to understand the truth and the lies associated with the Naked Queen. It is around AD 1120. The Scandinavian realm of Tabithia is in turmoil. Since his ascension to the throne, King Ballizar has embarked on a horrid ritual that seems intent on decimating the maiden population. On the night of each full moon, Ballizar conducts a despicable ritual that puts some poor maiden of the realm to a terrible test. No one yet has been able to withstand it. It is not until the ritual is interrupted by the arrival of a woman named Syrenya that the ritual is finally broken, and by doing so, Syrenya becomes the King’s consort and queen of Tabithia. But on her wedding night, she learns a terrible secret—one that will take all her cunning and intelligence, and the span of a quarter-century, to put right.

Life’s Journey Through The Bumps is a spiritual and inspirational journey that the author has shared with hope that it helps others traveling that long journey that loss creates. “Loss is a brokenness that only those that have suffered a loss can relate to. It is a long journey on a winding road with bumps and turns”
Expressing grief through poetry has been her therapeutic way to help herself but also to reach out to others online and within the community. One can relate to the stages of grief and loss that she has encountered and how she dealt with those situations. Life is like a winding road with no end in sight and many bumps along the way. May you find strength in your journey and find peace in your heart.
“Life is full of challenges that we alone must face.
Times when we will struggle to wake to face the day.
Times that faith and courage is tested, our pain to erase.
Times we must accept the bumps will go away.
We can’t change the tragic events that occurred in our past,
What happened was not our doing, nor our ability to be undone.
We can only face life strongly and not let depression last.
Help is available as you are not alone, reach out to someone.”

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who wanted to be somebody, but she was always told that she was nothing." The writer in Juanita Gaskin remained dormant as depression and life circumstances held her back. Renaissance Dreams refers to the rebirth of passions delayed and of hope to come. Juanita reinvented her place in life by not letting fear or the disapproval of others determine her path. She walked through dark times and managed to walk into the light. This book is a reflection of her life in poetry and photography. Through poetry, Juanita wrote of her depression; it was her form of therapy and gave her the strength to push beyond the madness to find the inner woman that was lost. Writing was her way of releasing the pain and finding comfort. She awoke to a new beginning. It's a battle with the self, when you reach for a goal with no one there to help you through or cheer you forward. You wonder whether you have the strength to keep fighting-but you must believe in yourself. It takes a positive mind to get you where you truly belong. Juanita hopes that someone out there will read her book and find the courage to hold on just a little longer. Keep strong, because hope is on the way.

Life is an adventure. Some things we can control, other experiences randomly happen. We can choose the environment, however, and the Deschutes River located in Central Oregon has had a significant impact on my life. Through poems, essays, and photographs with their captions, experiences will be shared in hopes that the reader can relate to shared feelings or vicariously enjoy a most refreshing immersion.
Not all life’s happenings are pleasant or have a happy ending. The roller coaster of life is something we all share. But we find buffers that sustain us and certainly the natural world, particularly a special river, can help keep our keel headed in the right direction.
Even though this is a personal sharing, most of the experienced feelings are universal. Whether the reader enjoys an escape while reposed in an armchair, or is moved to make some plans to break out of the humdrum, or perhaps even finds some healing in the reading experience, my efforts will be fulfilled.

This book is suitable for believers who love God. Here is an attempt to tell in brief the history of Christianity and what the future holds for it, as well. If you believe your faith has arrived at ultimate truth, you might reject the idea that it will change at all. But if history is any guide, no matter how deeply held our beliefs might be today, they are likely in time to be transformed as they pass to our children., or simply to fade away. In much of the world it seems like an uphill struggle, but if we are going to win the world for Christ, there are fundamental things we must address.
This book emphasizes both spiritual life and spiritual knowledge because as a Christian, we need both. We are spiritual beings and it is important that we take that inner life seriously. If we hope to make any changes in our culture, the Christian faith is something that we will want to be able to engage. Each generation has had its leaders and its trailblazers. In the field of Christianity, we have had those who have shaped our thinking and provided us with godly role models. Our history is rich with people who have led the way. It is my hope that this book will serve a new generation of Christian believers.

This new puzzle is like Sudoku that is used in many new books. But this one is different. It uses letters instead of numbers. It uses nine letters instead of nine numbers and the letters are not always the same. Each puzzle has a list of the nine letters that are being used in each puzzle. Just like the Sudoku puzzles there are nine groups of nine letters. There will be 2 parts for these puzzles. The first part is like the Sudoku puzzles. There will be a 9X9 table with some of the letters missing. This is just like the Sudoku puzzles, only it uses letters. This puzzle is still the same but it may use f t h b m g o e a, or, s m l g b y i o u. Generally, 6 consonants and 3 vowels are used, but there may be times when 7 consonants and 2 vowels, or 5 and 4 are being used. There is also a blank table which is 4 columns by 9 rows. That is the area in which you will record the second part. You have already figured out what all the letters are; now you get to see how many words you can find. This is Part 2. Part 2 is completely different from the Sudoku. This is where you go through your answers to part one and see how many words you can find. Some of the puzzles have as many at 15 words and some as many as 25 words. It is all dependent on the letters that are used. This is the part than can really be difficult. You will be going through the puzzle, after you have done the hard work of finding all the letters, and trying to find words. All words in the answers are at least 3 letters long.

POTUS: A POLITICAL FANTASY is the story of a semi-reluctant hero acting for the people of the United States and the world, as well as the Universe at large. The improbability of his election to the presidency is offset by the prodigious efforts he makes to accomplish a simple goal: the restoration of Freedom for the people of the United States and the World-at-large, as well as establishing it for sentients in the Cosmos. This simple goal inspires him and, at the same time, exasperates him. He lives to inspire and free others; while at the same time, he feels that the inspiration demands too much of him and reduces his own freedom. His life is blessed with extreme joy and accomplishments, but as often as not, beset with abject sorrow and fear that he has accomplished nothing. He is a man for the ages, but feels that he is inadequate for the jobs he has set out for himself. His growth throughout the novel allows him to at last believe that the impossible is attainable, yet sometimes at great costs.

Is God interested in your everyday life, trials, sorrows, grief?..... Yes, indeed. How often have we heard people say, "God doesn't care about our troubles", and "God helps those who help themselves". Well, people can live that way for a while, as long as they have the strength-but, the time comes, when strength fails, and many fall into the ditch of life, and never get up. I've found, when we fail, when we lose our strength to go on, when we can't put on a good front for people, and they may walk out the door.....if we will just call his Name, He will come in. Whatever the problem, whatever the trial, whatever the circumstances- He is only a prayer away, a whisper is all it takes, and I've learned through a lifetime of depending on Him- He never fails. He hears, and answers prayer. It may not be overnight, and He may test you to see if you'll stand in faith. But, He's proven to me beyond any doubt-His ears are open to the cries of His people. In my life's journey, I've accumulated a lifetime of journal accounts of answers to specific prayers-for my own personal needs, and in intercession concerning nations. It's my hope, and prayer that those who read this story, will see a consistent pattern of standing against the forces of darkness, and gaining ground in prayer, and victory in the storms, and adversities of life. What God has done for me, He will do for anyone, if they'll just open the door of their heart, and let Him in.

Brian L. Murphy's first degree was in Business Management which led to an eighteen-year career, performing as an individual contributor, then a supervisor, then as a manager. Now, having been a teacher for twenty years, and experiencing the educational process from the inside, including being a Mentor Teacher for a dozen Student Teachers, he says: "I have loved being a teacher. But my industry is in trouble even dying, and something needs to be done to repair the damage before it's too late. This book is meant to identify and take responsibility for what is going wrong so we can remedy the problems."
Directly from the headlines: Even before its mandated closer due to the Covid-19 virus epidemic, after spending billions of dollars, the American education system was in crisis. Students were not being prepared for anything except more years without adequate benefit and were turning off. Teachers were quitting in droves, and taxpayers were losing faith in the schools they paid for with their taxes. And it's getting worse. This project is as explosive to the field of education as Rachel Carson's Silent Spring was for agriculture and pesticides, or Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed was for auto safety. And like those books, A Teacher's Quest not only identifies problems but offers solutions.

A kid' s memories of war and postwar I wrote this book on June 6, 2019, 75 years after D-day, the greatest invasion the world has ever seen. Seven thousand ships, 150.000 troops, 4,000 American and British deaths on the very first day! The courage of the men, who jumped from the landing ships into the sea, sometimes drowning with their heavy equipment, and stormed the beaches under heavy fire from machine guns, rifles and artillery salvos, is unimaginable. I can't stop thinking about it today with a sense of awe and gratefulness

A group of merrymaking cousins travel to Texas to spend their annual vacation at the Dude Ranch for a week of trail rides, BBQs, barn dances, roping, and other fun activities. They enjoyed meeting new people, and they were not disappointed at the colorful characters they met while on this vacation. They became friends with the Dude brothers, a pregnant lady, and an extra tall ball-bat-toting woman named Tinker Bell. Last year's vacation to Missouri had more adventure than they ever could have imagined. This year they were looking forward to fun and relaxation without problems, but when a guest of the ranch was found murdered on the property, things began to get tense as strange events begin to happen making the cousins nervous and baffled. The cousins along with their new friends they had made at the ranch worked hard to keep their heads clear and stay as sane as possible. They were determined not to get involved with the murder until one of the cousins turned up missing. All bets were off now that one of their own had been taken.

The bird in my oven's a ham, A porcine delight with some yam. For lest it be said It's gone to my head, We are what we eat, and I am. Damon Gross has experienced many idle moments since retiring that have inspired both humorous and introspective writings. In a collection of entertaining limericks, Gross shares lyrical insight from his thoughts while showering, shaving, brushing his teeth, fixing supper, washing the dishes, watching his beloved Hawkeyes win a big game or go down in ignominious defeat, or performing other mindless chores. His limericks touch on relatable topics centered around the changing seasons, such as sporting events, the intimate mating rituals of rabbits, the aging process, the rhetoric surrounding a divisive political environment, and a wintry gloom that leaves us all a bit uninspired. A Light and Lively Look at Life is a volume of lighthearted limericks that share a retiree's view of the world around him as he embraces all that accompanies the transformations that each season brings.

This is a journey through doubt, fear, pain, and joy. It's a story of healing self in mind, body, and spirit through choices made in a lifetime; a story belonging to anyone; a story without gender, race, or wealth.
It's my choice! I think of the many times I've told myself that and the years it took before I believed it. They're reminders that I own my decisions regardless what the situation is or who tells me what to do. Today, self-reminders are less frequent because I feel in control of my whole life, not just part of it. Why? Because I have a free will, God's gift to each of us. It's a love-gift given freely, unconditionally. It is without strings, enabling me to choose my journey, my path.
I believe that it is by loving ourselves we can make progress and become better. I believe that our purpose on earth is to become better human beings by recognizing that special light within us-God. To you, reader, God may be the Universal Consciousness, Allah, or the Almighty. Whichever it is, remember it is your choice!

In Frederic Voss’s wonderful memoir, My House Was Not a Home, the author describes life on the farm with an abusive grandmother. His priority was finding other places to be than at “home,” a place never referred to as such in the book. Voss’s book is, however, not about abuse, but rather the friends that helped him avoid it. There were many characters, good and not so good. In chapter 4, we meet Reg Keetering, the king of the tall-tale spinners, as he conjures “The Man Who Invented Dinosaurs.” In chapter 5, Darrell (pronounced Duryl) Campbell regales the boys in the barbershop with the origins of the “Greatest Camel and Goat Herd Dog Y’all Ever Saw.” Readers meet the author’s best friend, Jimmy, Tehama County’s answer to Will Rogers. They’ll begin to hate the school bully, Stanley Bater, who picks on only kids smaller than him. Once referred to as “Master Bater,” he couldn’t figure out why they were all laughing. Among the author’s many friends were abandoned dogs that came to the house from the highway. They were taken in and fed and loved. Many were reclaimed by the highway or wandered off or killed in mysterious ways. There is room for their stories too.

Stations of the Risen Christ: Resurrection Meditations is meant to inspire people to pray and meditate on the Scriptural passages relating to Jesus Christ rising from the dead, and his subsequent appearances to over 500 disciples. Stations of the Risen Christ capture fourteen vignettes from the Gospel writings of John, Luke, and Matthew. A brief meditation follows each of the fourteen Scripture readings to motivate Christians to pray and acquire a deeper understanding of these divine mysteries. By praying the Stations of the Risen Christ during the Easter season to complement the Stations of the Cross for Lent, we are witnessing to our belief in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that Christ will clothe us in a resurrected body in the days to come.

Eight Pound Cows
By: Dr. Barbara ten Brink
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if cows weighed eight pounds? Just think of the fun to be had!
About the Author
Dr. Barbara ten Brink bought a twenty-acre ranch-ito in Gruene, Texas (population 20) where she builds fences, hoes cactus, and runs cows. “Every weekend, I feel connected to my grandmother, also a farmer. Granny’s reputation, her larger than life persona, her involvement with the entire community, her enthusiasm for work, her philanthropy are models to which I aspire. Working on my acreage, I imagine Clemmie working on her cotton farm. Harvesting mustang grapes, I visualize Clemmie canning preserves, making jellies, putting up stores of black-eyed peas, okra, tomatoes, and other produce she grew on her farm and shared with all of Brownfield, Texas. Every time I work at my ranch-ito, I channel Clemmie. I talk to her, ‘Dear Granny, Have I done enough? Have I worked hard enough? Have I accomplished one-tenth of your humane accomplishments?’ I aspire to.”

What if you acquire the knowledge and realize that most of the things you have learned as a Christian are in blunder? Be advised; but if you want to know, then do read this book. After receiving that glorious touch from guilt to forgiveness and sadness to joy called salvation, you were directed to live by the New Testament writings. Its content was drafted by the Apostles (eyewitnesses) instructed by Jesus of Nazareth in the method to interpret the Hebrew text. They wrote with no speculation of the truth, outlining God's will until complete redemption. The problem is most of that which is taught, (bits-n-pieces of the Gospel truth) leaves a sense of dissatisfaction. This book will teach the Bible student a blueprint, extracted from the Apostles method to interpret. Their theology prepares us for the eschatology events they wrote. The reader will grasp the full authority of truth, which God Jesus wants them to acquire. Paul points to reaching maturity and stands above the fables saying: "Christ himself gave, [...] to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may [...] reach unity (in three things to a result) in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, and become mature [...and he gives the reasons] then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth [...] blown here and there by every wind of teachings and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming." This book points to a path, not a conclusion. We want to congratulate the serious Bible student on the acquisition of this book; take what is good for you and put aside what is not; remember that it will be helpful to someone else...

Brenda Palmer was motivated to write this book because of what was instilled in her at an early age by a woman named Anita Stroud, who took her, her siblings and other children into her home in the projects of Fairview Homes, a neighborhood infested with drugs, violence, and teenage pregnancy. she took them under her wings and taught them domestic skills like sewing, knitting, and crafting along with learning the attributes of perseverance, endurance, and good work ethics. She also made it possible for them to participate in summer camp supported by the local churches in the community of Charlotte. Ms. Stroud never had children, but they were her children, whom she taught to work with their hands and make use of their God-given talents God placed in them. She taught them through Christ they could do all things.
Also, as an adult, Brenda was motivated by an very dear friend Trinette Vereen who started a book club at their church who introduce them to a writer who offered writing courses once a month. Trinette was so kind enough to let Brenda accompany her to the courses by driving her there. God will place people in our lives to lead us to the destiny or future he has planned for us. Brenda was instructed by God to write this book, but had no idea as to how God will bring it too life. Through kind and loving people "God did it." This book will lead you to your true self in Jesus Christ.

An aging poet shares her "mixed experiences" with love - young love, disappointed love, other loves, short and sharp conclusions about love, and over-the-hill love. Humor and hard-won wisdom lie in these verses. Her subjects are things and events anyone can relate to from his or her own personal history.
Although penned by a former college professor, these poems in a variety of forms - rhymed and unrhymed- are not academic in tone. No, this volume is blood and bone reality in accessible and memorable lines.
There's an occasional tang of bitterness and a bit of regret, but most of these poems celebrate the joyful interest which love lends to our otherwise pedestrian lives.

Despite their complex structures, molecules most likely do not take time to ponder the ways they fit into the big scheme of things. They just are.
But when zillions of molecules bond into organized, functional systems, we get everything, including you and me—and some seven billion others.
Chuck Champlin, a writer, journalist, and former Walt Disney Co. communications executive, seeks inspiration via deep imaginative journeys into the infinitely vast and invisibly tiny realms of the cosmos in this small book with a big message.
In observing molecular assemblies, we can see that physical matter came together, possibly all on its own, to create life and thinking minds. It is profound that our minds, perhaps born from accidental creativity, can intentionally assemble marvelous new things.
To think like a molecule is to be aware of the physical foundations in matter that have given rise to our thoughts—and from there, it's onward into the realm of pure imagination and the twinkling stars of our infinite potential.

The first part of the story explains how Virgil's ancestors from Europe all arrived at that small region called Woodland, Indiana. Emphasis is on what was going on in that part of each one's world to cause them to migrate to this country and eventually to that spot in Indiana. Wars, religious intolerance, and decisions by the various kings or queens were the driving forces that caused so many to leave their homelands and look for better conditions. Life on a farm during the Great Depression and World War II is described in some detail. The emotional devastation upon learning of the deaths of two brothers in that war took a heavy toll on the Mochel Family. The second part deals with the many varied experiences of Virgil and Marian as they traveled their life-journey together, up to the present time.

It all began around the time when we renewed our wedding vows in July 2016. From that point forward things changed drastically. LyRae stood by my side the entire time from hospital to hospital, she was right there. Through our experience we learned how to depend upon each other, but most of all we learned how to depend on God. After 8 weeks in the hospital Ray was released. the ups and downs in the lives of two normal, everyday people. Th e twists and turns
in The Dance focus on Jans perception of the events in her life. From the decisions
she makes, to the decisions made for her, she has unanswered questions that leave
emptiness within her she cant seem to fi ll. What if? Why? If only!! How many times

Everything changed for Pradeep K. Berry on February 28, 2015.
That was the day his wife of forty-one years, Constance A. "Connie" Berry, died. He's been mourning ever since, and he seeks to cope with his loss in this tribute to his beloved spouse.
In My Connie, he celebrates their love --a love that would have never happened if he hadn't left India to go to the United States. He only had seven dollars at the time, and he could not have dreamed that he'd meet a beautiful, intelligent, American wife. The author's family embraced Connie as soon as they realized she was polite, smart, and self-made. In short order, she became the star of the family. Berry lovingly describes Connie's qualities, character, and ethics as well as her professional career. He observes that even though he's been in tremendous pain since she died, he would have never had such a long and happy marriage if he and Connie had not loved each other so much.
