Meet Mayur, who always knew he wanted a great career and then set about actualising that goal. Growing up in India he navigated the complex and competitive landscape to earn an opportunity with support from his family to study abroad. Taking up a job as a door to door salesmen while completing his computer science degree set Mayur up for a skill set ideal for the analytical customer facing world of management consultancy. Through trial end error, being adaptable and a spirit of continuous improvement, Ari talks to Mayur today as a successful management consultant manager at a trendy firm in Perth, Western Australia.
In this episode, Ari talks to Brenden, a financial strategist and business owner of Money Links in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Brenden always wanted to be an entrepreneur inspired by the affirmations of motivational speaker Anthony Robbins. With a goal of making a million dollars by the age of 23, Brenden was highly motivated and enthusiastic but after some trial and error in network marketing ventures and odd jobs, found that investing in himself was what would be his best bet. After a rollercoaster career through the global financial crisis and a reboot or two, Brenden found himself excelling in his career, enough to get noticed for industry awards and the keen eye of a business owner looking for someone to take the torch.
