Im so touched by this poem about coronavirus written by Brother Richard (Hendrick), a Priest in Irland.
This is a Chinese fable that teaches us how sometimes love isn't really love, just selfishness.The man in this story thought that the Seagull would like the same things he liked.He o ly focused on himself, instead of what the Seagull really needed.
Control your anger, before it controls you.Many times due to heat of the moments we say things to others, on which we feel regret later on.The words are like bullets which can never come back to weapon , once triggered.Same way like bullets , words leave deep scars on the mind and souls of others .Those wounds are like holes in the fence , which are irreparable.You may apologize, but scars will always remain there.
This story states our human condition.We pray to God for so many things that we want, but how many of us take the time to thank God Let us be among those who can thank God for the many gifts we have received-for our human birth, for our health, for our food, clothing and shelter, and for our families. However, let us not thank God merely with words but with our deeds.
The only reason that the elephants weren't breaking free and escaping from the camp was because over time they adopted the belief that it just wasn't possible. Moral of thestory: No matter how much the world tries to hold you back, always continue with the belief that what you want to achieve is possible.
Sure, it's nice to get things in a flash.We're often told to strike while the proverbial iron is hot and all that.However, you'll realize that some of the best things that life has to offer are always worth hard work and , yes the wait.Some things just take time.To each, it's own season.
What we learn from this story is that..we might not be able to change the entire world, but at least we can change a small part of it, for someone...
