Our first review from the beautifully crafted collection titled ,"African Love Stories : Anthology by Ama Ata Aidoo which comprises 21 short stories by women, that span across the African continent – from Egypt to South Africa.
This first story, titled Something Old, Something New by Leila Leila Aboulela, introduces two main characters ;a young Sudanese Muslim woman and a white Muslim man from Edinburgh , and how they allow for love to grow and bind them together despite the whirlwind worlds they each come from.A definite refreshingly calming look at how the true nature of love is away from the traditional romantic, unrealistic, happily-ever-after setting that most fairy tales have.A new modern tale to love .
Attem, is our fourth story to review off of Bolu's collection of short stories collection titled Love in Colour.The story introduces us to Bolus's retelling of the native Nigerian folklore titled “Ituen and the King’s Wife,".The story set in pre-industrial, pre-colonial Africa and introduces a rich cultural backdrop where love , pleasure, strength and connection are highlighted and celebrated; a definite adventure :)

Our first review of world renowned author, Haruki Murakami through this story that is part of his short stories collection titled Men Without Women.The story depict the character who has meticulously shielded himself from the whirlwinds often associated with love and relationships, only to find himself in the thrust in the deep end,hook line and sink!
