This episode series is not recorded to win arguments against critics. It is written to equip the next generation of preachers and church leaders with the nuts and bolts of history, so that when the shimmer of revisionist rhetoric flashes before them, they can see the actual undergirding of their cry. It’s a field guide – a quick survey – to understanding and evaluating the revisionist movement.
You will find here both historical case studies and modern parallels, woven together to show that the revisionist cry is not new, not different, and never satisfied. My prayer is that this work will strengthen your resolve to stand where faithful men have stood, and to feed your flock the Word of God that has endured revivals, persecutions, and centuries of scrutiny.

In the wake of the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk, the world sits in shock and wonder at where to go from here. The same thoughts have been a consuming fire and burning wake-up call to me over the past 24 hours.
I hesitated to record anything at all (SCS is not a "newsy" or "current events" podcast). In the end, I decided to push the record button for one reason - and one reason only:
I wanted to go back and be able to remember how I felt and what I was thinking the day Charlie died.
I don't ever want to forget what happened on 9.10.25 and the way I felt on that day. I want my kids to be able to go back and hear what "Daddy" was thinking on that day. May the seed of Charlie Kirk's death propel the Gospel of Jesus Christ only stronger and further across the world.

Years ago, a well-known theologian and Christian author introduced the idea of "Theological Triage". While it sounds good, the premise behind this now popular thought has many deficiencies and errors. In today's episode, I walk you through the author's article and expose some of the issues. My ultimate goal for this episode is to help Christians learn how to think deeply when navigating opinions, advice, and articles that sound good to the ears but have underlying foundational issues.

This is a classic argument by those who would question the Bible’s clear stand against alcohol consumption when taking into account a full view of Scripture and history. And it’s one that seems to have some stability! Some would say, “Doesn’t this imply that if you are not a pastor, you can drink? Why would the Bible tell you that pastors can’t drink if it doesn’t mean that? Doesn’t the verse about the priests imply that they could drink outside of the priesthood?"

While "juice" was an uncommon word during the time of the translation of the King James Bible, there is one time where the word "juice" is found in our Bible - Song of Solomon 8:2. If "wine" was so often used because of its commonality in that time period, why translate the word "juice" here? Doesn't this imply that the other passages translated "wine" are actually references to alcohol?

But how many Christians do you and I know (maybe even ourselves), who it seems like we are just plodding along and never experience that true victory that God wants us to have. We know we have been saved and set free, but it feels like we are still carrying that old yoke! It feels like I’m still in bondage!
How do I truly begin to live the Victorious Christian Life? We tackled that question and more in this episode!
There is a thought and belief in some churches and minds of some Christians that there is no salvation offered by God to the homosexual and there is no hope for the reprobate. This idea is prominently posed by Calvinists and members of the "New IFB"...but the question is:
Is that belief truth? Is that line of reasoning Biblically based?

God loves you. He cares about you. He wants you to have the purpose, victory, joy, peace, and contentment that comes when you live a life for Him! On the opposite side, the devil wants nothing more than for you to live for anyone but God. The devil doesn’t care if you live for him, for this world, or for yourself – anything is fine as long as you don’t live for God.
And so, the battle rages. In this episode, I give what I believe to be the devil's number one tool he uses, in today's world, to try and win the battle for the mind. I also present three questions for us to use in judging this area of the battle for our mind!

Within the construct and chronology of Scripture, the wise men come later on than the Christmas night that we celebrate. Many nativity scenes show the wise men at the stable, but Scripture clearly tells us that they visited Jesus when He was a young child, in a house, most likely living in Nazareth at the time. Nonetheless, the wise men had been traveling since, if not before, the birth in order to come and worship this newborn King. Their story does have significance within the Christmas season.
We arrive on the scene of Jerusalem, a hustling bustling city of its day. Amidst the hubbub and commotion of daily living in this metropolis, the city was troubled – the king was displeased. The city was turned upside by the arrival of these wise men to the city. The Bible does not specifically tells us how many wise men there were. It’s commonly assumed that there were 3 because of the 3 gifts that were presented to the newborn King. History tells us that thy bands of wise men often traveled in significantly more numbers – sometimes even in the hundreds.
Yet, as they arrive peacefully on the scene of Jerusalem, the city is troubled at their coming. The king, Herod, is troubled attheir coming. Why would this be so? Listen to this episode to find out more!
Psalm 122:1 says: "I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord."

This is a conscious decision Pharaoh made in the book of Exodus. He purposefully chose to spend one more night with the frogs. We look at his decision and say, "That's ridiculous! Every person has a throne in their life and heart. From that throne proceeds the decrees and direction of your life. That doesn’t mean that the kingdom will not sometimes depart from the commands, but overall – the direction is given by the throne. For every throne, there must be a king. Though we do not have grand coronation ceremonies, as that of Europe, we do indeed (as individual people) select the king that sits on the throne of our life.
It could be God & the Bible…or it could be: Self. Career. Hobbies. Addictions. Personal dreams. Personal desires. Another person (aka: a boyfriend/girlfriend).
No one is except from choosing a king for their heart and life. Even the people who say that they will not choose have made a choice. But, the overwhelming question is:

Romans 9 is a passage that some Calvinists use to try and uphold their false doctrine. At face value, some of the verses in Romans 9 can be a little confusing and, at points, appear to be alluding to Calvinist doctrine. So what do we do with Romans 9? What is it actually saying? I submit to you that only one translation meets the core doctrines concerning the Word of God. Only one was translated off a line of manuscripts with no faults and no failures – the Traditional Text. Only one translation is perfect with no contradictions and no errors. That translation is the King James Version. I believe the evidence provided in this study allow us to definitively conclude the errors of the modern translations and any offspring of the Critical Text. I went to prison this past week. Yes, that's correct: prison. Some of the men from my church and I went in to prison to help spread the Gospel and be an encouragement to the inmates. My time "inside the fence" served as a good reminder, once again, of the powerful ability we have been given - the power of choice. In a critical point of my life, a man of God stood in a pulpit and preached a critical truth. The message was entitled, "Are You Renting or Buying?"
