After an amazing trip, returning home to live your “normal” life can feel different. You aren't constantly on the move, you aren't discovering something new every single day, you aren't living the same exhilarating life that you were when traveling. When you experience such high highs, especially for a prolonged length of time, the 'normals' can start to feel like lows. Knowing it is something they've both experienced, Steph and Andrea discuss how they prepare for the post-travel blues to minimise their impact.

With plans to embark on their own Camino pilgrimage in 2024, Steph and Andrea review The Way (2010) and how it resonates with them, the parallels it draws to real-life travel adventures and the overarching theme of how travel fundamentally changes us.
In The Way, when Daniel Avery (played by Emilio Estevez) dies on pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago, his father, Dr. Tom Avery (played by Martin Sheen) flies to France to claim the remains. Despite having been estranged, Tom decides to complete the 825-kilometre trek to Spain to honour his son, spreading his ashes along the way.
The Way (2010) is available on Amazon, Netflix and SBS (country dependent) and is available for rent/purchase on the Apple TV app.

The family documents their experiences on their YouTube channel.
In March 2020, Covid-19 brought their travel business to a halt. So what did this family decide to do? They bought a yacht and will now circumnavigate the globe via the power of the wind.
Tune in to find out how you can travel and live the world as a local by learning from Will and Jessica's transition from corporate to nomadic life and following their journey from Central America to Europe to Asia.

As the world presses pause on travel, now is the time to reflect on how we can travel more responsibly once travel resumes. Reframing our thoughts on the transportation we take, the accommodations we book and the organisations we give our money to can allow us to be more responsible travellers moving forward contributing to a more sustainable travel industry.

As we continue to elevate voices from the black community for our June episodes, Adwoa Nsiah-Yeboah joins us this week to discuss what it’s like to travel as a black woman. As an avid traveler, she shares some eye opening experiences with us where she’s experienced racial discrimination during her travels. From airport checks, to cities she would not return to after traumatic events have occurred, Adwoa puts into perspective for Andrea and Steph how many more factors there are to consider for a black woman traveling and helps us better understand our own white privilege during our own travels.

T-Boz of TLC joins us this week talking all things Black Lives Matter, the racial issues she has personally encountered growing up in the USA and while travelling around the world, as well as traveling for the music industry in general.
For the month of June, we will be using our podcast and our platform to elevate the voices of others. Steph and Andrea will be interviewing black artists, entrepreneurs and travelers whom they’ve known for years. These episodes were already in the pipeline, but it is clear that now was the time to release them. All ad revenue from this month will be donated to causes identified by our guests. Because #BlackOutTuesday needs to be about more than a social post, but about real action.

The future of the travel industry is changing right in front of our eyes and there are a lot of questions being asked about what that will look like both in the short and long term. In this episode Andrea and Steph discuss what changes they foresee when it comes to flights, accommodation and other travel industries, as well as how the current situation will influence future travel habits and legal concerns.
How will airlines change? How will travellers priorities when planning a trip? Will we see the rise of the road trip? Will health requirements now be as strict as immigration and security? We talk about all of this and so much more, so tune in!

Language barriers should never hold you back from visiting a new place you dream of seeing, so in this episode, we break down how we've overcome those barriers ourselves. It may not have always been classy, but we always got our point across!
