Mike Murray stands as a multifaceted Recording Artist, Composer, Musician, and Producer in the Smooth Jazz and Chill Out genres. His journey into the realm of music commenced during his formative years, where summers spent at camp ignited his passion for the piano, played on a humble upright instrument. This initial introduction laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion.

During high school, Murray’s musical trajectory took an unexpected yet compelling turn when he secured a spot in a local funk band. However, his role evolved from pianist to drummer, revealing his adaptability and versatility. Though these musical seeds were sown, life beckoned him forward to explore new horizons.

Across the years, Murray’s musical horizons were greatly expanded by the influence of icons like George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Four Play, Santana, Hiroshima, Paul Hardcastle, Alex Bugnon, Earth Wind & Fire, Sly Stone, Mandrill, and an array of other revolutionary talents.

With the release of his newest single, "Global Warning," the forth of seven singles in a series called Seven Stories, Mike Murray continues his musical journey, blending smooth grooves with deep stories. Following the bold energy of “ewe do ewe,” which marked a pivotal moment in his evolution, Murray takes the next step in his growth, inviting listeners to experience a sound that’s personal, real, and always rhythm-driven.

With Seven Stories, Murray begins a fresh chapter—one that brings together smooth grooves, real stories, and thoughtful moments. This new collection builds on the spirit of “ewe do ewe,” staying true to the idea of following your own path, but with a deeper sound and a wider range of feeling. Jazz Differently

Armed with the rhythms of Dance, infused with the vocals of “Ole Soul," and tainted by the edge of Hip-Hop, Trade Stevens attacks each supremely. Born into a family of musicians from Michigan, Trade Stevens spent his youth abroad. Because his father was an Army Specialist, they traveled the world and spent time in various settings. Trades' talents were realized during a class “sing-off” for the role of Santa Claus in the annual Christmas play. Upon winning the sing-off Trade discovered his passion.

Once settled in Michigan, Trade would hone his gifts, focusing on writing, production, and vocal styling. He’d sing in various talent shows, local plays, and weddings. Realizing he wanted more, Trade set his sites on the big time. He’d move from Michigan to NYC in hopes of securing a recording contract. Much to his dismay, this would prove trying. Trade continued to perform in local events while pursuing a recording contract. One of Trades' most notable performances was at the Apollo Theater where Trade performed the Teddy Pendergrass classic “Turn off the Lights”. The audience was moved into a frenzy. Trade would receive a standing ovation.

After years of struggling, Trade would move closer to his goal, of securing a recording contract with a major “Indie” label. Once signed, Trade would start recording what he thought would be his debut album.

While pursuing a career in music, Trade would also graduate from Stoney Brook University with a Master of Science in Human Resources Management.

Citing Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson, Darryl Coley, and Barbra Streisand as some of his favorite singers/songwriters/entertainers Trade's voice harkens back to an era when singers were true singers, and the songs they sang told great stories. On this showcase, there will be tracks from his newest music projects played on air

This radio interview with Maysa will be my 5th showcase with her. Maysa is the kind of singer who takes hold of a song and enraptures her audience in the palm of her hands, as she delivers lyrics, phrases, melodies, and harmonies in a way that only she can. Blessed with an instantly identifiable honey-toned mezzo-soprano and an undeniably brilliant and magnetic stage presence, Maysa’s alluring vocals, candor, honesty, humor, and purity as an artist make her a rarity in this business. Having collaborated with everyone from Stevie Wonder to Incognito, Angela Bofill, Will Downing and Jonathan Butler, Phil Perry, and more...Maysa can hang with the best. It is no wonder she was the recipient of many awards for her work, including Soul Train’s first Centric Award in 2009. In 2018, Maysa became the owner/founder of her own record label, BLUE VELVET SOUL RECORDS.

The company has released 4 singles, YOU ARE NOT ALONE, IT’S GONNA BE ALRIGHT, LOVIN’ YOU IS EASY, and SOFT WORDS.

To celebrate her first record printing, MAYSA designed a commemorative blue velvet box set with those 4 singles as an EP called THE FAB FIRST FOUR, in January of 2021. Maysa will release her 14th solo studio album entitled, MUSIC FOR YOUR SOUL in the first quarter of 2022.

Myrix Media Group CEO and music producer Reginald L. Myricks aka Regi Myrix have always had a love for music. His father played the guitar in the household and at age 14, he took up the guitar where he played local gigs in New Jersey. He had the opportunity to play in backing bands for bigger artists, one band being the real voice behind the group formerly known as Milli Vanilli. In 1992, Myricks returned to the U.S., this time as a civilian and still playing the occasional gig. As a starving musician, he decided to enroll in Lincoln Tech Institute where he got into a software engineering career. In 2017, Myricks and his brother Art Myrix launched an offshoot of Infinity Worldwide Music called Myrix Media Group (MMG), expanding into acting and modeling coaching services. In the summer of 2018, MMG launched its interactive website which sells/leases instrumentals to clients worldwide. His legal name is Jarod Takari Mason but go by BKA Takari. He came up with the name one day just on some humbug. BKA came up and Takari is my middle name, hence the alias BKA Takari was born and raised in Hampton, VA on December 5, 1993.

“What influenced BKA ?” His brother. Growing up always looked up to him. BKA wanted to be just like him. Would always sit and listen to him rap in ciphers with his friends and watch him write music and rehearse took a liking to artists such as Jada Kiss, Beanie Seagal, BIG, and a few others.

BKA started taking music seriously in 2019 when he came home from prison. BKA wrote a lot of music while he was on the inside. BKA moved to Georgia about two days after release. One day BKA received a DM on Facebook from the CEO, Ms. Lisa Marie, of Worldwide International Records asking me to sign with them. BKA jumped at the opportunity and to continue to write and work on perfecting his craft.

BKA has done a plethora of shows. BKA did two in Atlanta, GA; one for Myafton and one opening for Rick Ross, and the rest in his home state, Virginia. If he had to give an estimate of how many shows done in total, BKA would have to say at least 20 and I’m looking forward to adding more to that number.
