I believe Happiness is a skill. It's something you work on just like anything else. I also believe in moving towards anything that makes you healthier...whether that is food, what products you use in your home or the company you keep. My goal is to help people who want MORE learn how to live happier and healthier lives.
I know I need to do... I know what the steps are... I know what it takes to get there... But I am [FILL IN THE BLANK] Do you have the "I know already" syndrome? Mannnnn..it's easy to catch this one. Because there is SO much info out there, getting the HOW is pretty simple. Yet, you may still find yourself NOT executing on it even though you know what to do. Why is that? Because what isn't being addressed is your thoughts and feelings around those steps. When you think about what it takes, certain feelings are creeping up and because you want to avoid them, you avoid what you KNOW you need to do. So what the F do you do? You have to address those feelings, my friend. Until you do, you are going to continue saying, " i know BUT..." You know I got an episode for you on this topic...let's address HOW to face those feelings!
How many of you think healthy food means bland?
Not in my world!
I grew up eating super flavorful, amazing food and as I got into the health world, it was not something I was willing to compromise on.
The only issue was as I started to learn about different foods and how they affect your wellness, I noticed many of my favorite condiments, spice blends and sauces had to go.
But thankfully, there are so many wonderful companies that had the same thought - good food doesn't have to be plain.
Check out my latest episode where I explain what to look out for when buying spices and sauces, which ones are good to go AND grab my Ultimate Spice and Sauce Guide freebie!!!
Let's talk about swings.
When you first get on a swing as a child, you need someone to push you the whole time.
Then, you learn to keep the momentum yourself after someone gets you going.
Eventually, you get to the point where you don't need the push at all.
Others can stand on the sidelines encouraging you to go higher and higher.
Now apply this to your life.
Do you find yourself saying you need someone to motivate you?
Well, that may be true....it's a slippery slope if don't learn to keep the momentum going.
Or worst yet, you don't ever learn to get going on your own.
This is why you may not be getting any momentum when it comes to your health...
You are waiting for something to push you on the swing the whole time.
But the second they are gone, the second they are not RIGHT now with you, you stop.
If you are done with that, and ready to LEARN the skills necessary to push yourself, join me in my new program, the Accountability Hub.
I will teach you how to PUSH yourself while I also show you how to go higher and higher.
You will learn to not NEED someone to push you...because you understand how to do it yourself.

Do you invest in your future self?
Just like a money investment, we have the choice to invest in ourselves.
The workouts you choose to do this week are an investment in your long-term health.
The supplements you commit to taking daily are also an investment.
It works for other aspects too...the self-development work you are putting in right now may not pay off until a few months down the line.
It's all a choice and it's all about how you view it.
It's SO much easier to invest in your current self...that morning Starbucks run gives you an immediate dopamine hit.
And because we get used to the immediate return when we invest in our current selves, it causes us to struggle with long-term goals.
Both are possible...it's all about how you view it.
Check out my latest episode if you struggle with sticking to a goal!
You really HATE it? Or you hate how it makes you feel? You hate that it reminds you that you can't or that you failed. You hate that you struggle with it. You hate that you don't feel success. Maybe it's time to question WHY. By questioning the why behind your hate, you can uncover beliefs that are keeping you in a loop. Check out this episode as I go through how to question if you REALLY hate it and how to remove that block.
Have you ever read a morning routine in a book or a post and thought....yeahhhhh that's not gonna work for me?
Or you test it out and you are all kinds of miserable.
I know I have.
I used to have to wake up at 4 am to train 5:15 am classes and let me tell you...I did it for years and never got used to it.
When I no longer had to wake up that early, I didn't...despite there being SO many things that promote it.
Here's what I DID take from reading about a morning routine...
You want to have one that works for YOU.
So how do you do that?
You ask yourself this, "What do I NEED/WANT to start the day?
The answer to that question will be different for each person which is why following someone's morning routine won't work UNLESS your answers are similar.
For example, maybe you need peace. You need a moment of solitude and stillness before everyone else is up and it becomes chaotic.
You may actually benefit from waking up super early and sitting outside with your cup of coffee and reading a few pages from your book.
Or maybe you wake up anxious.
You may benefit from working out in the morning to help relieve some of that.
It really all depends on what you want, what you need, and how the rest of your day generally plays out.
In this episode, I help you figure it out.
I go through how to craft a morning routine AND an evening routine that makes SENSE for your life...and is not based on someone elses.
Give it a listen and get crafting!
And I'm curious...what do you NEED in the morning? Post below!
In my book, being more efficient and effective with your time is a key component of happiness.
Why?
Because feeling behind and overwhelmed by all the things you need and want to do is stressful as hell.
So if you work on organizing your time and how you utilize it, you will find yourself less stressed and therefore happier.
In this episode, I discuss 3 ways to be more efficient so that you can focus on being a happier you!
I think the phrase, “How you do one thing is how you do everything” is BS!
I said what I said.
In this episode, I go through why…give it a listen.
And what are your initial thoughts about this phrase??
Do you believe it or also think it’s bs?
What if you didn’t have to let the holiday absolutely crush you?
How would it feel to enjoy what was designed to be a joyous time AND not derail the F out of your goals?
Even if you’ve never felt that way, it doesn’t mean it’s not possible for you.
You gotta start with why you were doing the habits you were doing in the first place (more focus, less anxious, feel better, etc) and then ask yourself “Why would I STOP them during arguably the most stressful time of year??”
So let’s talk about how to do it.
Like everything else, it can change if you want it to.
And let me know ONE habit you will absolutely keep up during the holidays!

What you do on a day-to-day basis determines the results and outcomes you are getting right now.
That may seem obvious when you read it but how many of us have wants, dreams, and goals and are frustrated that we aren’t moving toward them?
It’s because the habits you have right now may not match up with the habits required to get there.
In this episode, I break down how to figure out those habits AND actually start living them…not just thinking about them.
If you are sick of not reaching your goals, give this episode a listen!
Stepping out of your comfort zone is actually HARDER the second time you go to do it….
Everyone says it's the first time but I disagree.
The first time is challenging for sure but you are super motivated, you are either moving away from a great pain or towards pleasure, you want to leave where you are at SO bad and will push through to get there.
The second time though?
You now have made that uncomfortable place you worked SO hard to get to your new norm…and guess what? You don’t want to leave it…EVEN for something more.
During this episode, I go through even more reasons why they are different and how to handle each one so that you can continue to step out of your comfort zones and go for what you want!
What’s one thing you learned when you stepped out of your comfort zone??
Do you complicate the sh&% out of things?
You want to start eating better and exercising…
But first you have to research and find the BEST diet and the most effective exercise program.
Then you have to figure out your nutrition timing, exactly how much protein to eat after your workout and read that article on how much fruit is too much fruit.
Next, you have to check your schedule and find time to meal prep, exercise for an hour daily and get the perfect water bottle.
When you FINALLY get ALL of that done, then and only then will you be ready to start.
I know I am exaggerating but am I really???
We have a belief that being healthy is HARD so we make it hard.
It doesn’t have to be.
Sure there are challenges but find me something that never has challenges.
In this episode, we discuss how you may be making things complicated AF and how to simplify so you can get out of your head and start getting results.
p.s. Here’s the link for the challenge: https://www.amycattaneo.com/meta
A few weeks ago, I heard the parable of the pear tree for the first time.
And it stuck with me…I kept reading it over and over and getting different lessons from it.
So much so that I made a whole podcast episode on it!...lol
If you've heard it before, I would love to hear what’s your biggest takeaway from it.
If you haven't, give the episode a listen and share!

But what if you decided to use these last 90 days to kick start your 2023?
How would things be different for you?
In this episode, we discuss how to use this quarter to your advantage!

“The story is not over until you put down the pen”
This was a quote from one of the amazing speakers at the doTERRA convention I attended a few weeks ago.
Ohhh it just hit me in the feels!
So I made a podcast episode about it.
If you are feeling lost, hopeless, frustrated, ALL the things…give it a listen!
What’s the difference between being hungry and having a craving?
I think the difference is pretty simple….
Hunger is when you want any food…A craving is when you want a specific food or type of food.
That part is simple…the challenging part is thinking about that in the moment, learning to listen to what your body truly wants and needs, and THEN following through on it.
In this episode, I go through the differences, how to spot them and how to check in with yourself to figure out which path to take!
Do you get bloodwork done regularly?
I recently had some done to check up on things and it confirmed what I suspected.
Here’s the thing though…it’s all about WHAT tests and the ranges on the tests.
I am obviously NOT a doctor but I have discovered a TON of things that were going on with my body that were missed by standard practices by doing certain tests.
In this episode, I share what I found out, how it’s helping me and why you would consider doing the same!
Once you find the perfect system, your life will be so much easier.
You just have to keep searching for it and then everything will fall into place.
What if I told you one does not exist and it’s not the system you are picking or the mysterious one you haven’t found yet but your commitment to one?
In this episode, I discuss how to pick a system and actually commit to it so it works!
Can you relate? Let me know in the comments!
Do you stick to your healthy habits when you are on vaca?
I didn’t.
I would forget everything I put in place because I was “on vacation!”
Then I would come back and feel like I was starting all over again.
It actually felt like I would take steps backwards.
Then I started doing things for my health that were non negatable…and found it was necessary to do them no matter where the hell I was.
And my mindset around vacations shifted.
My mindset about my habit shifted.
And it has helped my health and longevity tremendously.
In this episode, I go through how I made that shift and how you can too!
If you just learn that ONE thing, listen to that ONE book, take that ONE course, then BOOM you would be at the next level.
I know I’ve told myself that a million times..yet that’s a bunch of bs.
It’s not about what you have yet to learn, it’s about what you have yet to implement.
In this episode, I discuss my own struggles with this and what to do about it!
Construction zones are a pain in the a$$ right?
They mess up traffic.
They ruin your commute.
Everyone seems to forget the rules of the road and it’s just super frustrating.
Yet, when we FIRST see that they are going to fix that road, it’s exciting.
And when it’s FINALLY done, it’s amazing.
It’s just the middle that sucks.
But the middle is when the work gets done…
You see where I’m going here…it’s the same thing with any project you are working on or any goal you are working towards.
It’s all sunshine and rainbows when we start and oh it’s going to be great when it’s finished.
However, everything in between those…ohhhh that’s the part that gets us.
In this episode, I discuss how to recognize when you are in the middle and what to do about it.
Hustle, hustle, hustle.
It’s a work used a LOT these days.
Like if you aren’t hustling, you are doing it wrong.
What if that hustle all the time mentality leads to you feeling burnt out, starts affecting your health and causes you crash?
What’s the alternative?
Not doing anything?
Nope.
It’s still working hard and moving forward.
But there’s a BIG difference between hustling and working hard….and when it’s actually pretty easy to overlook yet is major in the long run.
In this episode, I go through the differences between the two, how to spot when you are in one mode or the other, and what to do about it!
Have you ever had that feeling that things just need to change?
That you just need to shed what you are doing and do something else?
We’ve all felt that.
I felt that when I was an accountant.
My friend, Brenda, felt that after years in the HR industry.
And we both were moved to make a change.
In this episode, we discuss how to follow through with that feeling, use the skills you have to move forward, and what it takes to follow your gut!
Known each other 29 years.
Been together for 24 years.
Married for 12 years.
Business partners for 11 years.
And we still kinda like each other!
What’s our secret?
For my 100th episode, I asked my favorite person in the world to be a special guest!
We go through what has made us work all this time and how we continue to grow as a couple.
It’s not what you think!
Check out it!
I used to be messy as hell.
My room as a kid used to drive my mom crazy.
And one of my college roommates would cringe at the ginormous pile of laundry that accumulated by my bed.
I would lose things all the time.
I would drive myself crazy digging through my mess to find something I needed.
It was the worst.
I finally said F this…I don’t want to be a messy person anymore.
Years later, I freakin love staying organized and truly believe it’s a huge part of being able to maintain my happiness.
In this episode, I go through the 3 reasons being organized can legit change your life….and how to start if you are a mess like I was!
Can positivity be toxic?
Short answer..yes.
Anything can work against you if used in a way that doesn't lead to growth.
Or if it's used to avoid or make an excuse.
Positivity is no different.
In this episode, we discuss what toxic positivity is, how to avoid it and more!
Want to know what's keeping you from building lasting habits?
Jumping from bubble to bubble.
We wait until the "perfect condition" and THEN start.
And yes...this can and usually does bring us a result.
Yet for many it can hold us back as during those conditions, we don't learn to handle the obstacles...so when we are hit with them later, it throws us off track.
In this episode, I go deeper into this and how to avoid it!
“You just have to do what you love”
Have you ever heard someone say that and think, “cool story bro…but I still don’t know what to do!
You want to move to the next step…yet you are unclear on what that next step is.
You want to have a career or business that ignites you and fills you with passion but you are clueless about how to figure it out.
I have definitely been there.
I had a career that make me a lot of money and was exactly the path I chose and I hated it.
It was slowly killing my soul.
And I knew I wanted to do something that made me happy…I just didn’t know what.
I figured it out though!
And in this episode, I go through three steps to finding your passion so that you can have a career or business that makes you jump out of bed in the morning!
You ever get stuck between listening to your gut versus listening to your mind?
It can be a tough situation.
I know I have been there a million times…and here’s what I know…when I follow my gut, it’s the right path every time...when I follow my mind…things can get hairy.
Your intuition is a powerful thing. It’s there for a reason.
Trouble is sometimes that gut feeling makes no sense…and if you are a super logical person, you sometimes can’t understand why your body is telling you something different.
This has been the case for me over and over.
And last week, I finally said, F this…me and my gut instinct are going for it!
In this episode, I go through how I came to that decision and why and how following YOUR gut may be just what you need right now!
I should be doing that.
You ever say that to yourself?
Or to someone else.
You are working towards a goal or wanting to accomplish something and you find yourself stuck between what you SHOULD be doing and you just flat out not doing it.
Now on top of not doing the damn thing, you feel guilty.
What a great place to be right?? 😵💫
And what ends up happening most times is we let go of the goal.
Well I say F that!
In this episode, I go through three ways to let go of the shoulds and get down to reaching your goal.
Want to know my secret to a happy, strong 23-year-old relationship with my husband?
We work on it just like we do our businesses, our health and wellness and anything else that we want to grow and progress in.
Do we have ups and downs?
Damn straight.
But we're known each other for almost 30 years and we can STILL talk for hours on end and love being with each other.
Well, I'm giving away my secrets!
In this episode, I go through the 3 things we do to level up our relationship!
You know why progress not perfection is a great motto...despite how cliche it is?
Because as you progress, as you grow, as you learn, as you get better, the "perfection" line moves.
And if you focus on reaching a point that is constantly moving, you will drive yourself crazy.
However, if you embrace the fact that the line is moving as you evolve, you will come to LOVE the progress you make every day.
In this episode, I dive deeper into this topic and how it relates to all areas of your life.
You finally got your act together and then BOOM!
You don't.
Now you feel overwhelmed and like you can barely keep your head above water.
Yup...I know how that feels!
First and foremost you are certainly not alone.
It may feel like everyone around you is just skipping along and you are over here just like WTF?
Trust me...others are feeling it too!
Second, in this episode, I go through exactly what I do when I feel overwhelmed!
Do you need more stuff or less stuff?
On one hand, a ton of stuff can cause clutter...which for most is STRESSFUL.
Who the hell wants that?
However, on the other hand, I can make a strong case why having MORE of the SAME exact item can make your less stressful.
So how the hell do you tell the difference.
Well you listen to my latest podcast! 🤣
Are you REALLY being your true self?

"I wish I had learned this earlier"
Have you ever learned something that completely changes the game for you?
Yet you have regrets, frustrations, anger at yourself for NOT learning it years ago?
Yup. I know I've been there! 😬 😬 😬
It's common. It will happen. And we can't exactly STOP the thoughts from popping up.
But you can control how you react to it.
You can't hop into a time machine and go years back to teach your younger self.
So why let all those negative thoughts rob your present self of enjoying the new knowledge and rocking it out?
All that happens when you do that is you end up stressing yourself the f out and lose focus on implementing what you learn.
In this episode, I go deeper into how to avoid dragging yourself into the past and instead allow yourself to thrive in the present to have an amazing future!
Do you ever pay actual attention to your immune system?
I know I didn't for YEARS...until I was always getting sick.
And even after I made major changes in my life, it's something I definitely took for granted until I was smacked in the face with it and HAD to pay attention.
Now, it's ALWAYS at the top of my list of priorities!
My daily habits are in line with keeping my immune system going STRONG.
In this episode, I go through the 5 habits I keep up with DAILY to ensure I'm helping my immune system out as much as I can!
You've set your goals.
You've set your intentions and targets.
But maybe that little voice in your head is already talking crap...
It's telling you who you are to think THIS year will be any different from last year when you didn't make much progress.
Or maybe you don't have that voice but you are feeling alone in all you want to accomplish.
Either way...the answer is you DON'T have to go it alone.
I actually recommended to NOT doing it all by yourself...where's the fun in that?
That's where having awesome people in your corner makes SUCH a difference.
In today's episode, I discuss why having an accountability partner and/or a coach helps you get where you want to go MUCH faster.
I also go through questions to ask to find the RIGHT one!
Check it out!
I want to know....how many of you guys have an accountability partner or a coach?
"Don't let the concept of change scare you as much as the concept of staying unhappy."
Change is what moves us forward.
Change also scares the bejeezus about of many of us.
And that fear keeps up stuck.
It keeps us in a loop that we don't know how to remove ourselves from.
But it's not the change that most people fear, it's the CONCEPT of it.
And once you understand the concept and you understand what to expect, change becomes easy.
In this episode, we go into why change can be scary and how to turn it around and make it work for you.
Have you ever sat and really thought about what Happiness means to you?
Like legit, sat down and wrote it out.
Not what it should be, not what others want for you but what you truly want?
Most people haven't.
It's thought of as this far-off thing that only happens when everything is perfectly aligned.
But what if things are never perfect? What if they are never aligned just right?
Does that mean you never get to be happy?
I'm calling bs on that!
In this episode, I breakdown my exact method for working on your happiness today...and not waiting for someday!

It may sound like an oxymoron but in order to do more, you have to make things easy...
We all have routines that we follow day in and day out...even if you don't realize it, you have a routine.
Now when you want to add something to your life...maybe learning a new skill, taking a class, etc., it makes sense that you have to find the time AND energy to do it.
Well how do you do that if your day is already stacked?
By looking at what you are ALREADY doing and figuring out a way to make those take up less time and energy.
That's exactly what I go through in my latest episode!
So you have your goals written down.
You are all excited for the new year so you can start crushing them.
But do you have a way to TRACK them?
Will you be able to see where you are each week? Each month?
I set my goals yearly but I didn't have a great system for EASILY tracking them....until now.
In this episode, I go through the importance of not just setting goals but taking that extra step and tracking them so I can see where I am so I know exactly where I need to go.
p.s. I am giving away my personal goal template so check it out!
www.amycattaneo.com/goaltemplate
Relentless
What do you think when you hear that word?
Do you think harsh, cruel, severe?
Or do you think consistent, constant, persevering?
It actually can be either...it just depends on the person.
In this episode, I share a story about a time I wasn't relentless and it led to me losing something very important to me...and how it changed everything for me.
Are you competitive?
My husband and I were discussing this the other day and we were going back and forth on it.
Here was the issue...he was saying I am competitive and I disagreed...lol...
As I thought more about it, I disagreed because when I hear the word "competitive", I think of being a sore loser or not enjoying the thing you are competing in unless you win.
And that's not me.
BUT I do like to win and I do like to be compete depending on the situation.
So I was torn.
And I am to this conclusion...I like to compete but I am competing against myself.
I learned a long time ago that if I am ONLY working to bet someone else, I am NOT reaching for my full potential...I'm only going slightly past THEIRS.
And that's not what I want.
I want to compete against the person I was yesterday, the person I was last month, the person I was last year.
That girl is going down!
Because me and her are fighting for the same why.
We are striving for the same goals and passion.
Unlike someone else.
And by competing against HER, I am going to work to do MY absolute best.
In this episode, I go deeper into this and why competing against others may be holding you back.
It used to be at the bottom of my list.
I would get to it when I "had time".
But here's what happened...
I would rarely find the time to actually get it done.
Or I would work myself into a ball of stress and overwhelm and be forced to take a break.
Neither of those options was ideal.
And it needed to change.
In this episode, I go through I make sure to make time for the most important person in my life
ME!
I also explain why YOU should be on the top of YOUR list.
Does the early bird get the worm?
Or are night owls more productive?
I used to wake up super early because I HAD to and even though I am super chipper in the morning when I didn't have to wake up early in the morning anymore, I started to test some things out...
What I found was that I actually do my best work from mid-morning to late afternoon and often get a burst of more brain energy around 7 pm.
But when I was waking up super early, I was missing those workflow times because I was TIRED
So I said screw it...and decided to listen to my body
What about you? Do you listen to your body or do you feel like you have to wake up super early to be productive?
It's what I explore in this episode. I discuss why many of us believe only the early bird gets the worm but why this may be actually hurting your production.
And I discuss chronotypes. Have you heard of those before? If so, what's your type???
How many of you read regularly?
No judgment!... I'm just curious!
Reading books for some was such a chore in school that once it wasn't required, books became a thing of the past!
For others, it is a huge part of their lifestyle.
I'm one of those peeps.
As a kid, I was put into one of those remedial reading groups. Turns out, I switch around letters and numbers sometimes. Couple that with the fact that I was extremely shy, my teacher figured I had trouble reading.
But I didn't. My reading comprehension has always been fantastic...I just won't be winning any spelling bees!
I went home and cried to my parents and they got me taken out on the class. #greatparents
Since then, reading has been my favorite hobby...I read fiction, nonfiction, and I run a book club with the BEST ladies ever
Reading books is a HUGE part of my life and I can't imagine it without it.
Why the hell am I telling you all of this?
Because one thing I noticed is that EVERY person I know that is successful, reads.
So I wanted to explore this topic a bit.
And that's exactly what I do in today's episode.
I breakdown some stats on reading and discuss why it may be the simplest path to where you want to be.
I also discuss how the heck I manage to read so many books each year.
Tune in!
And I'm always looking for more book suggestions!
What's the best book you have read this year?
Man oh man was this a hard episode for me...
Because my money story is you are not supposed to talk about money.
But I've been diving deep into a few books and podcasts on money and the stories we have around them and I realized I have a TON of stories.
So I figured I can't be the only one!
This episode is different.
This one is about getting you to just think about what your story might be and if and how it may be causing you to be stuck where you are. Or why money is a stressor for you.
I'm still working through my stories so give this a listen and let's break through them together!
Mentions in episode:
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind - T. Harv Eker

TED TALK: Listen to the Monsters in your Closet
Ok, let's be real...
I can talk a big game on what to do to help your kids eat healthily but I don't have kids myself so my advice is just theory because I haven't put it into practice.
So I brought it an expert!
Dr. Orlena Kerek trained as a pediatric doctor and is now a family health advocate, empowerment mentor, pioneer, author, educator, and mother.
She helps families create healthy habits they love so they can all feel fit and fabulous without having to think about it.
In this episode, we discuss the 4 pillars she uses to help families with their lifestyles.
Are you crazy busy?
Do you have every intention to eat better, healthy, cleaner but then life gets in the way?
Yup....I've been there!
If only we could live in a bubble for a few months, we would be the healthiest people ever!!!
Well, until someone whisks us away to a remote island where we have someone making all our meals and we have no access to the foods that are our kryptonite, we gotta figure this thing out!
In today's episode, I go through my fav tips and tricks for sticking to a healthier diet while being busy as hell.
It's possible, I promise!
Listen here:
And let's get more tips going!
What's one thing you do to make sure you eat healthy on a tight schedule?
How many of you are the go-to person for everyone?
You know what I mean...the person that every depends on to help when they need it.
You got that reputation because you like to help others.
But you also got it because you struggle to say no.
Same, my friend, same.
But it ain't doing anybody any good!
Over time, this wears on you.
You can't remember the last time you did something just for you.
You feel like you are constantly helping others move forward but not yourself.
It stinks!
How about we change that?
In this episode, I go through three ways to put yourself first and how that will actually help you show up better for everyone else!
You want to make something happen but you don't believe you can do it.
No matter how hard you work... the odds are it won't happen.
It all starts with mindset and YOU believing in yourself.
In this episode, I talk to Karen Happel on how she uses mindset to help her clients as well as herself to propel her business forward.

What's your gut say about you?
Or better yet, I should ask...What's your gut trying to tell you?

That's where my friend, Holly Blazina comes in!

Are you sick of seeing all the millions of different diets and quick fixes out there?
Cuz I am!
Over the last 10 years, I've seen it all, and working to get people back to basics is a pillar in the nutrition coaching program at my personal training studio.
A year ago, we got to the point where we needed help and brought on Abbie to our team.
And thank goodness we did!
She very quickly became an integral part of our team.
Here's a little bit about Abbie...
She has a bachelor's in Exercise Science and is currently studying for a master's in nutrition with an emphasis on dietetics. She is also completing the requirements for an RD credential.
AND she works full time at our studio, handling the majority of the nutrition coaching.
Because she is clearly a badass, I asked Abbie to be a guest on my podcast in order to go through her approach to nutrition coaching and share some tips and tricks.

Do you ever think of something you need to get done and just the THOUGHT of tackling it makes your stomach hurt?
Do you know why?
Because our brains like things to be simple.
We like things to be in bite-sized pieces.
And when they're not, it just seems like a big jumbled mess and it's super overwhelming.
Let's make things less complicated!
In this episode, I break down my process on how to go from complicated to simple!
It's no secret that essential oils are my jam.
I use them every day to help improve and support my health, my mindset, and my general well being.
They started as something I used here and there and over time, as I started to get results with one oil, I kept thinking, “what else can I use them for?"
And before long, they were a staple in my day to day life.
But just like everything else in life, most of us view them from a macro level and not a micro level.
Meaning we say oh cool, Lavender can help support my sleep…but we have no idea how to incorporate that into our routines.
In this episode, I go through a day in the life of me using essential oils to support me throughout my daily tasks and easy ways to incorporate them so that they don't become a burden but a way to make your life better!

Things are going well.
You have been doing it that way for months, years maybe.
It works. It gets the job done.
Can it better?
Of course.
Anything can always get better.
That's where things get tricky.
We all get stuck in our ways and when it comes time to change, it's SO easy to cling to our old way especially if that old way is working.
But let me ask you this...if you are at 90% and someone comes along and says, "Hey, if you implement X, it will make you more efficient and get you to 91%."
Would you do it?
Is that worth it to you?
That's what I discuss in today's episode.
What are your thoughts? Is that 1% increase worth it?
How many diets have you tried?
How many times have you tried to change your eating habits and find yourself going back to what you were doing before?
How about your nutrition program looks on point on paper but you just can't seem to stick to it.
So you try another diet.
You try another app.
You cut out different foods this time.
But nope. Different programs, same results.
Here's why...
It has nothing to knowing exactly what to eat. Because let's be honest...we know which foods we need more of and which ones we need to cut back on.
The issue is our minds!
That's what needs to be addressed.
In this episode, I go through three simple things to become aware of when it comes to healthy eating and exactly how to start working on them.
Need help putting them into practice? check out the course I created to help with just that at amycattaneo.com/happinesscourse.
Is work/life balance even possible?
Anything is possible if you actually put in the work.
BUT the issue is that balance is NOT going to be 50/50 all the time.
That balance is NOT going to be the same weekly.
And it's not going to be the same for each person.
What I consider work/life balance is different will be different from yours.
So how the heck do we achieve it?
In this episode, I go through 4 tips on how to balance all parts of your life!
Goals, new years resolutions, intentions, projects, to-do lists, targets.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you call them.
What TRULY matters is the actual plan to get them done.
Because without that, they will just become something you wished for instead of something you accomplished.
That's why it's important to plan it out, track it, schedule it, and see where you stand.
In today's episode, I go through the exact process I use to step by step to get stuff done.
Keep in mind, it takes work.
It takes time.
But once it's done and you have a solid baseline plan that you can work from and tweak as you go along, it is like a weight is lifted off of your shoulders!
Let's do this!
Can you believe that 2021 is almost here?
This has somehow been the slowest fastest year ever!
And just let every other year, I spent this past week looking over my goals for 2020 and setting new ones for 2021.
In this episode, I go over exactly how I do that.
Accessing your wins, what worked, what didn't etc is key to moving forward and figuring out where you want to go next.
It's also super important to create a solid plan to actually hit your goals.
So let's do it together!
Sometimes, most times actually, things worth doing that move us forward, make us grow, get us results, require hard work.
Hard work is just that. HARD!
It sucks at first...sometimes for a long time...and that's why many of us give up.
Because it hurts.
It hards.
It's not fun.
It's not all rainbows and sunshine.
But I'm going to let you in on a little secret...it never will be.
So you can either choose to go through now or later...when most times it has become 10x harder.
And then you find yourself wishing you had started earlier.
In this episode, I dive deep into how growth starts with some pain...and why it's not a bad thing!
Have you ever paid attention to everything to tell yourself daily?
Like REALLY paid attention?
How about the things you say about yourself to others?...even if its in a joking manner
Maybe you do...would you say those same things to someone you love?
How about someone you are trying to help grow and move forward?
For many of us the answer is no....we don't pay attention to it and when we do, it's negative as hell and we would NOT tell someone we love those same things.
Yet, some of us live day to day with those thoughts floating around our heads...
And they are 100% affecting you.
So what the hell do you do about it?
In this episode, I go through exactly what I do and how you can start the habit as well!
p.s. My Happiness Course will be live soon! Get on the waiting list to be the first to know about it here: WAITLIST
A few weeks ago I completed 75 Hard.
It was one of the best things I've ever done.
Before I started, I did a podcast episode on what I was hoping to get out of it...
(1) I wanted a challenge to get me out of my comfort zone
(2) I wanted to do something that required me to focus and would help me focus in other areas of my life.
(3) I wanted to inspire others to do the challenge so that could get out of their comfort zones and gain focus in their lives
And after 2 1/2 months, I have to say I gained all of the above and must more!
In this episode, I go through the lessons I learned from completing 75 Hard and what I am doing to maintain the momentum I gained!
Gluten Free
That's certainly a phrase we see a lot these days.
And it's one I need to be on the lookout for since I discovered that gluten was making me sick.
But it's also become one of things that people think is BS.
I've literally had people tell me that "gluten intolerance" is not "a thing".
So it is?
In my latest episode, I have a guest who took it upon herself to go gluten free because her health was all over the place.
She shares what she was experiencing, how it helped her and how she has continued it for the last 9 years....along with the struggles she faced.
It's a great convo on learning to listen to your body and take charge of your health!
You can check out Leelee's youtube channel here!
Are you going it alone?
Or do you have a mentor, a coach, a trainer, part of a mastermind, have an accountability partner?
If you don't have one of those, why the hell not?
We all grow up with a support system that helps us navigate the world, whether it's our parents, teachers, coaches, tutors.
They are there to help us along the way because they are further down the path then we are...
And yet, many of us hit adulthood and think we have to do it all alone...with no help.
It's SO bizarre to me!
Because the coaches, mentors, masterminds, and all the help I have received over the years has helped move me forward SO much faster and more effectively than had I tried to do it by myself.
Right now, I have two coaches - one who I can ask pretty much anything about business and one who is helping me build my course. I am part of a business mastermind, part of a coaching group for my doTERRA business, and have an accountability partner.
Sounds like a lot but each of those is integral is the progress I have been making.
So what about you?
Who's in your corner?
In this episode, I go through why it's important to have a coach, how to figure out which part of your life you may need one, and how to pick one.
Winter is coming!
With that comes holidays, family time, going out of town, people coming into town, xmas shopping, cooking, cleaning ...in other words, a WHOLE bunch of things that can derail you and what you are wanting to accomplish.
Instead of waiting until those things are here and now you are a ball of stress, how would it feel to figure out what you need to do to relieve some of that stress and plan out the last quarter of the year better?
Join me as I go through 5 ways to do just that!
Does fear ever go away?
Fear stops many of us from doing things we want to do because we are scared of the unknown.
And it's easy to assume that everyone who is out there doing the things we are scared to do wasn't afraid in the first place.
But that's often not the case.
The truth is they were scared, had doubts, and were not sure of the outcome but still took the risk and moved forward.
And they continued to move forward and their fear of that particular thing slowing melted away...
Until they were faced with the NEXT thing that made them scared and have doubts.
In this episode, I discuss Fear and how to get used to it in order to move forward!
They’re just clothes right?
Wrong!

She knows all too well how to balance a professional presence with her slightly edgy femininity in order to wow inside and out of the conference room.

We all have things we don't like.
We all have things that we can be negative about.
We all have things that we complain about.
But have you ever stopped to think....REALLY think where those notions came from?
And if they are even yours?
Or are they habits, feelings, etc that you picked up along the day from those around you?
I explore this idea in this episode. We will go through how to figure out you are even doing it and how to put an end to it!
Danielle is a former engineer that left that all behind to pursue her passion as a mindset coach and a certified yoga teacher.

Your diet sucks....
This is NOT me saying this...as I don't even know what the heck most of you are eating.
But I do know that many people get on a diet and feel miserable...and they feel that dieting sucks.
They count down the days until they can eating "normal" again...and when they go back to their old ways...lose the results...so back to a diet.
Eventually this leads to burnt out and not wanting to even think about dieting...
In this episode, I talk about how to get off the hamster wheel of dieting.
Tune in!

Raise your hand if you are stressed!
Now lower your hand if you have a great way to handle that stress that doesn't include alcohol, eating, or something else that is not good for your health long term.
If your hand is still up, give this episode a listen....
Sometimes you just don't feel like doing ANYTHING.
It starts with one day that becomes a week...that becomes a month
And now you feel stuck in a runt and don't know how to get out of it.
We've all been there...and many more of us are going through it now.
BUT you don't have to stay there.
You don't have to let that become your new normal.
In this episode, I go through the three step I take to get out of a funk!
I love a good challenge.
They are a great way to grow and change and push yourself past where you thought you could go.
When I learned about 75 Hard, I knew I wanted to do it.
I first heard about it at the monthly get together for the mastermind I am a part of.
Jessica Stroud, who helped welcome me into the group was doing it and LOVED it.
My coach, Tomas Keenan was also doing it and I could SEE the difference it is having on him.
(And of course, I asked him about it!)
Here's the thing...success leaves clues and when people you admire, respect and know are killing it are doing something...it's usually a good idea to do it too.
So I am starting this challenge this Monday July 20th.
In this episode, I go through exactly what the challenge is, why I'm doing and why I want you to join me!
p.s. This challenge is 100% free and it's something you can start anytime. Nothing but discipline is needed get going!
Are you in?
There's no question that 2020 has been a complete sh&% show.
More things have happened in the last 6 months than the last few years combined.
Yet we all started this year off so hopeful!
It was a new year, a new decade!
This was going to be THE year, right?
But I'm seeing and hearing a lot of people basically saying that this year is just over and done.
And that they are just waiting to see what's the next terrible thing to happen.
Is that you right now?
Are you just ready for this year to be over?
But what a minute!
We still have SIX months to this year!
There is PLENTY of time to go after what we want, accomplish what we want, and make this a great year.
In this episode, I talk about why now's not the time to give up and roll over.
Now's the time to dig deep, reassess and focus!
Being healthy is expensive.
Being healthy is a lot of work.
Well I would argue that the time and cost is worth it in the long run...I also know that they are a TON of ways to work on your health that don't take a ton of time OR money.
In this episode, I go through 5 easy things you can do that won't cost a ton but will make a difference to your health and well being!
Are you on the Hot Mess Express???
Have you heard that saying?
Do you use it to describe yourself?
I know I have!
But do you let the fact that you think you are a mess and don't have your act together keep you from moving forward with your goals?
OR do you believe that the peeps that are killing it in terms of success are NOT a mess and have it all figured out?
Let me tell you....I don't know ONE successful person that ISN'T trying to fix an area of their life because in their minds....it needs work...OR as some might describe it...it's a mess...
The difference?
Well...that's what I get into in this episode...what separates the people that are a hot mess and don't move forward and those that are also a hot mess yet are hitting their goals out of the park!
Summer is here!!!
Did you reach those health goals you set on January 1st?
No? Well the summer is here already so it's too late right?
Might as well just "enjoy" this summer and start back again in the fall
Because what's the point, right?
Arrrrgghhh!!!!
Noooooo!!!!
Summer is a GREAT time to focus in and work on getting healthier!!!
In this episode, I go through 5 tips on how to do that and WHY they are important to do NOW!

Motivation is great to get you going....but what happens when it goes away?
And that's where people struggle.
We are all pumped in the beginning....things are new and exciting and we can't wait to get to it.
Then it becomes part of your normal, part of your routine.
And you hear yourself saying, "I'm just not motivated" or "I'll get back to it when I get some motivation"
But it ain't motivation that you need....
In this episode, I go through why motivation is BS and what you need instead.
p.s. Drop a comment below and let me know what you are struggling to finish or get through!
Do you suck at cooking? But you WANT to get better at it?
Well, this episode will be right up your alley!
Most peeps when they are working on eating better and getting healthier realize one of the things that would really help is if they could cook their own food.
It all sounds great in theory...
Until you realize you hate doing it.
You hate it because you think it's super time consuming.
You avoid it because it just seems so daunting.
You don't do it because the few times you have attempted to make something, it tasted horrible.
So you just tell yourself cooking is not for you...
BUT cooking is a skill and like any other skill, the only way to get better at it is to work on it.
In this episode, I go through 5 tips to start becoming a better cook!

Have you heard of the "Streetlight Effect"
It's a parable, lesson, principle, joke that has been said in many forms over the years..
And it goes like this....
"A policeman sees a drunk man searching for something under a streetlight and asks what the drunk has lost.
He says he lost his keys and they both look under the streetlight together.
After a few minutes the policeman asks if he is sure he lost them here, and the drunk replies, no, and that he lost them in the park.
The policeman asks why he is searching here, and the drunk replies,
'This is where the light is'."
There are MANY ways to interpret this...but this is how I see it....
We tend to look for things where it's the easiest place to look instead of where we KNOW we should be looking.
In this episode, I go through ways we all do this for our health, our mindset and our goals...and how to learn to leave the comfort and ease of the light and step into the darkness...where we KNOW we will find the keys.
I am the QUEEN of consuming content.
I love to learn new things and love gaining more knowledge.
BUT I also have come to the conclusion that I am also the queen of NOT putting all that great content into action...because I'm too busy consuming the next thing.
And what good does all that knowledge do me if I don't do anything with it?
In this episode, I go through the cycle that I figured out I'm in and how I jumped off of it and how you can too!
There are many many lessons to be learned from this pandemic.
For me, one of them is that I was taking certain things for granted.
In this episode, I talk about the things I was taking for granted, how this quarantine helped me put things into perspective.
As we get deeper into our time into the quarantine, emotions are high.
I've noticed a lot more back and forth on social media in terms on judging what the other people are doing.
And it been driving me nuts....so that's what I discuss in this episode!
A strong immune system is a great thing to have at any time.
But now it's become even more important.
In today's episode, I go through some things you can incorporate on a day to day basis to build up your immune system.
This is a condensed version of the class I did Live in my facebook group.

Things are crazy right now.
So here's my short list of 5 things to remember to keep your sanity
Yayyy!!! You get to work from home!
It sounds great in theory...no traffic, can sleep in and pants are optional.
But then you actually start doing it.
And yeah it ain't all it's cracked up to be.
You can't focus.
You don't feel as productive.
And you can't stop eating ALL THE SNACKS.
As someone who has worked from home for quite some time, it CAN be awesome but you gotta put some things in place.
In this episode, I go through the 5 Things I do to make sure I stay super productive while working from home!
I hate being in the kitchen.
I hear those words all the time.
I personally love to cook but I don't like wasting time or doing tasks that take forever.
I want to make good food quick!
And to do that, I have invested in some gadgets that make my life SO much easier.
In this episode, I am going over my must have kitchen gadgets for people who want to save time yet still make amazing meals!

"Expectation is the root of all heartache”
William Shakespeare
We ALL have expectations…
We expect things from our significant others.
We expect things from our employees, business partners, and coworkers
We expect things from our friends.
We even expect things from people we don’t know.
But I believe that many of us don’t even REALIZE we have these expectations and that alone can cause a sh&% ton of issues.
And if YOU don’t even know that you have these expectations…how the hell do expect the person on the other side of the equation to know them?
So in this episode, I go through what expectations we have, how to recognize them and become more aware of them and how to communicate them clearly to others in order to minimize conflict, issues and heartache!

We are all about the upgrades nowadays. But what about the upgrades you can make that can really make a difference?
We upgrade our phones, our computers, our appliances, and so many other things in our life.
We put a lot of time, energy and money into them.
And then when it's time to spend time, energy and money on the things that can move us closer to our goals, dreams and happiness, we say we don't have the resources.
And we do this without even thinking about it most of time.
Let's put an end to that.
In this episode, I go over WHY we should upgrade certain aspects of our lives and HOW to do it.
If you enjoy this episode, please show me the love by leaving a review!!
Let’s talk Health Hacks….

It’s possible to be preventive and do all that you can to support your immune system so that it can throw down when it needs to.
In this episode, I go through 5 Health Hacks to help you do just that.
Yes, I have talked about them before.
And I will keep talking about them until people start doing them consistently. You can’t do things for like a week and expect your body crazy healthy for life!

Are you a worry wart?
If so, how's that working out for ya?
My guess is it ain't doing much but giving you gray hairs!
When you worry, it takes you out of the present moment and brings you to either the past or the future.
You lose focus on whatever you were actually doing and may even end of worrying about that later as well!
My way around this mess is PLAN, PLAN, PLAN.
And then have a plan b, c, d etc because things are never perfect.
By working on what I CAN control, it takes the worry out of the things I can't.
In this episode, I go through exactly how to accomplish that!
300 seconds is all you need to change your life.
You are BUSY. you don't have TIME.
When life slows down, THEN you will have time for yourself.
But right now, there just isn't enough time to do anything meaningful.
I'm calling bulls%$ on that right now.
Not because I don't believe you are busy...but because I KNOW you have 5 minutes.
And I KNOW by spending 5 minutes a day working on something for YOU will have a massive effect on your life.
You just have to start.
In today's episode, I go through activities that can be done in just 5 minutes that will greatly impact your level of self care.
You deserve to be at your best. You deserve to feel like YOU again. And that starts with putting you first.
Listen and find out how with just 5 minutes day you can change your life.
You set a goal. You got your plan in place. Now you are a few weeks in....and you are off track.
What do you do?
First, know it happens to EVERYONE. Success is never a straight line!
In this episode, I go through 3 steps to follow when you get off track with your goal. These steps will help you see where you are, what needs to change and what to do to get back!
Do you tell yourself crazy stories?
What the heck do I mean by that?...
Let's say you send someone a message and they don't answer for a few days.
Or you say hello to someone but they kind of brush you off...
Or your significant other is being a little distant...
What scenarios, possibilities, situations etc do you IMAGINE are the reasons why those things are happening?
That's why I mean by crazy stories....and we can EASILY get wrapped up in them and let them lead us astray.
In this episode, I go through what they are, how they are hurting your happiness and how to put an end to them!

Ok so let's go back for a second.
What ACTUALLy causes you to get sick?
Viruses, bacteria and other pathogens.
They get in or on your body. And if your body can't fight them, you get sick.
Does the change in weather CAUSE you to get sick?
No...viruses and other bacteria can thrive better in the cold. The cold can also weaken you IF your body is already struggling.
So WHY do you get sick?
Because you are doing things that are making your immune system STRUGGLE.
In today's podcast, I am breaking down the 7 things you NEED for a healthy immune system.
If you want to take back control and be in charge of your health, listen to today's episode so you can get started TODAY!
There are many, many reasons people start with essential oils. But I have found that there are THREE main things.
These are the reasons that really get people moving and starting with essential oils.
Here they are:
In this episode, I go through what motivates people to start using essential oils!
Time flies doesn’t it? 2019 is almost done and a new year AND a new decade is just around the corner.
For me, a new year is a time to sit down and reflect on what I want to accomplish.
Yes it’s cliche to set new year’s resolutions but if you don’t know where you are going and HOW you will get there, odds are you are going to get lost.
I don’t know about you but I don’t like getting lost literally OR figuratively!
That means setting GOALS and planning how I’m going to reach them.
I also think it’s important to put them out in the universe to hold myself accountable!
Here’s my list of goals for 2020:
1. Achieve the next rank in my doTERRA Business
2.Create and launch my course on Happiness and Health
3. Fix my Immune System and Get to my goal weight.
4. Read 50 Books.
5. Growmy Online Business
6. Complete Online Courses
7. Go on a vacation with my family.
Now it’s important that you not only WRITE DOWN THE GOALS, but you also PLAN THEM OUT.
What EXACT steps need to be taken to achieve each one?
How much time is necessary for each step?
When will you fit in each step?
What other resources do you need?
What are some mini goals you can put in place to not only give you some wins but also help you see if you are on track?
In this episode I will dive deeper into why setting goals is imperative, what my goals are and why and how to set yours AND plan them out so you can have your best year yet!
Would love to hear what your #1 goal is for 2020! Comment below and let me know!
As I make my way through the protocol I was given to fix up my health, the #1 question I keep getting is "How do you do it?"
Well, in this episode I answer that question....
I walk you through exactly how I'm doing it and how you can do it too!
Here are the three pillars:
WHY do you want to reach that goal? WHY is it important? WHY now? WHY are you doing this?
You gotta get deep on this one....because surface level answers are the reason people fail. DIG DEEP.
Time is passing whether you are doing this or not. Things will ALWAYS be happening in your life....there will ALWAYS be parties, holidays, vacations, events, etc. So if you wait until there is a "perfect" time to start, you never will.
You also WON'T regret how you didn't eat that one cake at that one party 5 years down the line. You really won't. So LET GO OF THE FOMO (fear of missing out). 6 months - 1 year is NOT a lot of time in the grand scheme of things. When you look back over the time you spent reaching your health goal, I promise you will remember how accomplished you felt NOT how you didn't get to eat that one slice of pizza at that one happy hour you went to.
If you are pissy, angry, sad, feeling sorry for yourself, and all the other negative emotions while you are working on your goal, odds are you will eventually quit....because who the hell wants to feel like that?
NO ONE. So you use your shitty attitude to justify quitting.
Instead focus on all the GOOD coming from the changes you are making.
Your energy, your sleep, your body composition, clothes fitting better, health getting better, new recipes to try, new foods to try and so on.
Listen to this episode as I go deeper into examples as well as give the challenges to each pillar and how to overcome them!

Do you look back at a time in your life where you felt happy, satisfied, content with where you were and now you are NOT there and felt shame, regret, anger that you let yourself "go"?
I know I have!
I was having a conversation with my friend the other day and she was expressing how amazing she used to be at running her business and was upset that she was no longer there.
As we talked, I told her that THAT person who rocked her business were STILL her. She did it once, she could do it again. BUT this time, she was actually BETTER because she had learned so many lessons since then.
In today's episode, I dive deeper into how we all can get stuck holding onto the past, why that doesn't nothing for us and how to move past it!
Gratitude. Yes this is a topic that almost is cliche but there is a reason everyone talks about it.
At the time that I am shooting this podcast, it's Thanksgiving time.
And of course this is a time when thankfulness and gratitude are in full force.
BUT just like that...it's Black Friday and we might find ourselves with full on road rage as we try to find parking at the mall....and we forget all that wonderful things we were thankful for the day before.
Over the last few months, my health has really created a lot of stress and anxiety for me...and I have found that by INCREASING the amount of gratitude I have for the things in my life has been one of the main reasons I haven't pulled my hair out.
In this podcast, I explain what I do and why and why you should too!

Is your health first on your list or last?
And do you know what's TRULY going on with your body?
I've had a gut feeling that there was something else going on with my health for a while now...
I have been struggling to lose weight, I get sick pretty often despite the fact that I eat healthy and workout consistently, and I can't seem to REALLY clear my skin.
Well after a summer of traveling, where I was more lax with my healthy habits, my body had had enough.
And I broke out in a SEVERE skin rash that left everyone I went to see baffled and me extremely worried about my health.
Listen to learn what I did about it and what you can do to put YOUR health first!
We ALL label ourselves.
And those labels can be good, bad, neutral you name it!
The issue arises when we allow them to define who we want to be.
Let me say that again...who we WANT to be. or STRIVE to become or however else you want to put it.
Listen to today's episode to learn how we label ourselves, how those labels whether they are good or bad can hold us back and what to do to change it!
I obviously took a break form shooting the podcast.
In this episode, I discuss why .
I also discuss how we as adults tend to put FUN on the back burner and how easy it is to forget to do things that bring us JOY.
I also discuss why it's important to bring those things back and STAY committed to them!

Today my special guest is my chiropractor, Dr. Logan Spangler.
For quite some time, I had back issues. Given that I will do what I can to avoid surgery if possible, finding a good chiropractor was super important.. After doing an MRI and discovering I had degenerative disc disease, I knew I had to get serious about getting out of pain. So my wonderful husband did some research and found Dr. Spangler. Right away I knew was in good hands as he asked me TON of questions to get my history as well as my current situation down. Since I started going to Dr. Spangler, I have not thrown my back out and I have gotten stronger in my workouts. I now go to him monthly just to make sure everything is in order.

So if you are struggling with an injury or just don't feel quite right, schedule a consult with Spangler Chiropractic and don’t be like me and wait to you are at your wits end to do something about it!
