Ishbel is CEO and founder of I Straker Consultants and is recognised as an expert in the field of addiction and the treatment of co-existing mental health problems. She is an experienced expert witness, an Honorary Clinical Lecturer for Middlesex University, and Ambassador for the Department of Psychology for Edge Hill University.
What does it mean to be a “Looked After Child”? We will discuss potential impacts, things churches should be aware of, and how we can help share Christ’s love given the different experiences and challenges that looked after children face.

Louise is a qualified social worker who has worked within a local authority Children’s Services department for 12 years. She has gained a variety of experience most latterly as a senior social worker supervising foster carers. How do we lead our kids to an encounter with Jesus through worship when we are not musicians? In this session, we will be looking at how leading our kids into worship is more than just putting on a worship video and pressing play. Emma Bacon is full-time children’s worker at Coventry Elim and part of Elim’s Limitless Kids national leadership team. With the children at Coventry Elim, Emma has released a kid’s EP, ‘Light In The Darkness’ and a kids worship album, ‘Freedom’.
Alex and Michelle share lessons learned in recruiting and retaining quality volunteers as we emerge from the pandemic and work to re-establish ministries in our cities and towns. Chris was ordained in 1993 and ministered for over twenty-five years in two city churches. He began his ministry in the late 1980’s serving on the pastoral team in Kensington Temple in a variety of ministry roles including worship pastor and Director of IBIOL. From 1997 to 2010, Chris was the senior pastor of the City Temple in Cardiff. In 2010, he became the Regional Leader for Wales and the Southern Region before being appointed as the General Superintendent of Elim in May 2016.

Mark Grant-Jones
Military chaplaincy offers a powerful and effective model for ministry and mission in the twenty-first century. Mark Grant- Jones has been in ministry for thirty years including nineteen as an Army Chaplain. He has served God and soldiers in Germany, Iraq, The Balkans, and Afghanistan and is currently Senior Chaplain in Northern Ireland.
Eric Gaudion
‘More than conquerors’ is not a slogan. Eric discovered its reality in 22 years of appalling pain, and through over 40 years serving others walking through grief. Eric served as an Elim minister and while leading Cardiff City Temple he became seriously ill. There followed 22 years of unremitting pain, over 100 admissions to the hospital and more than 30 surgeries. Eric’s latest book ‘Through the Storms’ came out recently.

Born in Britain but bred in Nigeria, Dr Jonathan Oloyede is a medical doctor by profession but serves as a full-time apostolic missionary to the United Kingdom and Europe. Tom Hatch is from Elim New Zealand and serves as the Senior Leader of Elim Christian Centre, Blenheim, located at the top of the South Island. He and his wife, Suzanne, have been part of the Elim Church in Blenheim for over 30 years and where they serve in the senior leadership role.
Prior to taking up this role, Tom served for 20 years in the Royal New Zealand Air Force in the field of aviation engineering.

Chris is the General Superintendent of the Elim Pentecostal Church. The son of Elim pastor Des Cartwright, Chris was ordained in 1993 and ministered for over twenty-five years in two city churches. He began his ministry in the late 1980’s serving on the pastoral team in Kensington Temple in a variety of ministry roles including Worship Pastor and Director of IBIOL.
From 1997-2010, Chris was the Senior Pastor of the City Temple in Cardiff, (now renamed as City Church, Cardiff). In 2010 he became the Regional Leader for Wales and the Southern Region before being appointed as the General Superintendent of Elim in May 2016.

Boyd moved to New Zealand from Sri Lanka with his family when he was 16 years old. Boyd has been on staff at Elim Christian Centre for the past sixteen years. In 2009, he and his wife became Lead Pastors of the South campus. Since that time the church has grown to be the second-largest in Elim New Zealand. Boyd has served on the National Leadership team of Elim New Zealandsince 2011 and was elected as National Leader in October 2017.
