This podcast will examine where pressure comes from. It will highlight how pressure can influence us physically and psychologically. The episode will highlight how pressure can interfere with clarity of thought. I will discuss a practical tool that you can use in pressure inducing situations to help you gain a sense of control.
Mastering Your Craft 2 - Stay In The Moment
This podcast will focus on mistakes and how dwelling on them can be counterproductive moving forward within a performance. It will discuss strategies from the world of sport psychology that will allow students to overcome setbacks both during and after a test.
Mastering Your Craft 3 - Swim Your Own Lane
This podcast examines two faulty thought processes that a high percentage of students engage in, immediately pre-test and post-examination. Within the episode, I will explain how these thought processes can unsettle students psychologically. Finally, the podcast will offer alternative more productive strategies for students to use before and after exams.
Mastering Your Craft 4 - Simulation
This podcast will examine a key lesson from the Tom Brady inspired New England Patriots, the multiple NFL Super Bowl Champions. The episode will explore a key philosophy from the US Military. Using these two high-performance ideas, we will link this to study preparation and highlight how students can set up their study to flourish with the pressure of exams.
