Have you ever walked into a room and at that moment it seemed like all eyes were on you? I can remember those awkward times in college when someone would walk into class late and they would have to make that walk of shame to their seat. Everyone was secretly asking, “Wonder why they are […]
I spent some time this week speaking to our youth about burdens. Burdens are those things we carry around with us throughout our lives that bog us down. They are things we’ve picked up along the way, hurtful words, ungodly habits, negative ideas and thoughts. They are things the enemy is desperate to get into […]
There is a moment that comes for all of us when we are in the process of making a decision. Now, I’m not talking about little stuff like which banana bunch to select, which gas station to pick, or what you’re going to have to eat that night. I am talking about decisions that matter, […]
The other day I was at a service where a little girl prayed. She was a kindergartener I believe. Super cute. It was so sweet hearing her tiny voice in a microphone. Here recently my daughter has really gotten bold in praying for our dinners. She makes us hold hands and then she sounds off […]

Something that nobody likes is waiting. Especially Americans. Especially me. Waiting is hard to do but we do it a lot. Traffic. Restaurants. Lines at Walmart. I really don’t get that last one because of the ten thousand check out stations but the three checkers. We wait for a lot of things and waiting is […]

Listen to this research from the Western Journal of Medicine: “Analyses of broadcast media content indicate that, on average, teenaged viewers see 143 incidents of sexual behavior on network television at […]
Have you ever gotten lost? I remember the first time I went to New York City. It was with my wife on our honeymoon and I can remember us walking around the city, going from sight to sight, figuring out which trains to take, trying to navigate the city. If you’ve never been to New […]

A couple years back, I was going through a season in my life where God was really having me deal with issues I had carried it for decades. I don’t know if you have ever experienced that, but it can be incredibly difficult. It’s like ripping a Band-Aid off of your soul. In the midst […]
When God calls you, don’t protest because of your inadequacies. God will work them out.
Our words have the power to impact the soil of people around us. With a single word we can either inject nutrients, or herbicide.
When we are relational, it shows that people matter to us. And when we are fulfilling our purpose, it shows that God’s Kingdom matters to us.
When God looks at you he sees something that is valuable enough to trade his own son’s life for yours.
Be encouraged when God has you dealing with issues inside. Jesus is just going room to room.
