About Alice
@alicekunek
Showing patience and the ability to perform whenever required, Kunek hit the court for just 22 WNBL games during her time with the AIS. A move to Bulleen Boomers yielded immediate success in 2011, winning the Championship before reaching the Grand Final again the following year.
As a member of the Under-19 national team at the 2009 FIBA World Championships, Kunek learnt under the tutelage of Liz Cambage while adding four points and three rebounds per game as Australia finished fifth.
From 2010-2013, Kunek also starred in the South East Australian Basketball League, increasing her point production every year to collect 22 points, eight rebounds and three assists in 2013 while shooting 47% from the field.
Completing a busy year in 2013, she earned a bronze medal at the World University Games before making the team again in 2015 after a tour of Europe kept her under the nose of coach Brendan Joyce.
Kunek was a part of the Landon Trophy winning Opals in the 2015 FIBA Oceania Championship, qualifying for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro before she competed in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup with the national team as well, winning a silver medal.
