Sincerest apologies for taking an unplanned break from the podcast but a combination of issues forced our hand. We’ve been gone too long, we know. But. We’re back!

Dani’s been on her honeymoon and I’ve had COVID and got a promotion. Loads going on but we haven’t rested on our laurels with the podcast either. Whilst we couldn’t edit we could still research and record, so we’ve managed to get some episodes in the bank all ready to go.

This week we’re taking you through the terrible case of The Delphi Murders. Good friends Liberty ‘Libby’ German and Abigail Williams went missing in February of 2017, their bodies were discovered on Valentine’s Day near the Monon High Bridge trail in Indiana, USA. It’s an extremely sad and frustrating case which is heartbreaking for all involved.

When three members of the British Al-Hilli family, and a French cyclist named Sylvian Mollier were mysteriously shot to death on the side of the Route Forestière Domaniale de la Combe d’Ire close to the small village of Chevaline near the southern end of Lake Annecy in France.

This week Dani takes us through the case of Georgina Gharsallah who went missing in March 2018, after leaving her mothers house in Worthing West Sussex. She was 29 years old and left behind her mother, father sisters and two children.

Well it’s sleepover week here at Wives & Knives, Dani & I enjoyed our sleepover although one of us ended up hugging the toilet (can you guess who? 😉)

This Week we are covering the case of Susannah Jane Lamplugh. Suzy, or Suze, to her friends was an estate agent who went missing on the w8th of July 1986 in Fulham, London, England.

She was officially declared dead, presumed murdered, in 1994. The last clue to suzy Lamplugh’ s whereabouts was an appointment to show a house in Shorrolds Road to someone she referred to as Mr Kipper.

Suzy was 25 when she disappeared and would’ve turned 60 on may 3rd of this year. This is Lucy’s favourite case and as it was her birthday earlier this month also we’re dedicating it to her. Happy Birthday Lucy xxx

On the 10th of October 1987 Nicholas & Elizabeth Newall disappeared from their home in Clos de l’Atlantique in St Brelade, Jersey. Despite extensive searches it remained a missing persons case until 1988 when police discovered the remains of a bonfire, with burnt and blood splattered clothing belonging to the Newall’s, near to their family home. Even With plenty of suspicion & rumours it wouldn’t be until years later that the truth of what happened that night would eventually come to light.

Dani and I were chatting, as we have been thinking about trying to get out a mini episode - so we have some weekly content for wanky Wednesday’s (as one of our listeners & top fans put it.) Paige lived at home with her parents Frank Chivers and Sheila Houghton and her younger brother, Jack, in Bispham, Blackpool. Paige’s family life is reported as ‘dysfunctional’, and Paige is often described as ‘troubled’ and rebellious . At the age of 13 she was expelled from school due to her bad behaviour.

Charlene Downes was born 25th March 1989 to parents Karen and Bob Downes. She had 2 sisters , Emma and Becky and one brother Robert Jnr and a grandma who lived with them called Lena. Charlene was born in Walsall, Coventry before moving to Blackpool in 1999. Her case is shrouded in here say, police ups and undoubtedly a wall of lies; it has taken years to get a full picture of Charlenes life and her case is still open.
