"Taking the Message of the Kingdom of God to the world"
I came to know Christ when I was a teen and I've been growing in Him ever since. As I continued to seek God, I discovered more about Him and about myself. I've learned so much. On this podcast, I will be sharing experiences from my Christian walk and the things I've learned to encourage and admonish others to continue to live for Christ, seek first His kingdom and choose life everyday. This podcast will be shared weekly, so be on the lookout for nuggets of godly encouragement.
Sometimes, not knowing can stir up anxiety but in the case of believers, it should stir up excitement.
God's word says that He has such great plans for us- to prosper us and give us an expected end. This is something we should look forward to.
God wants us to honor Him with everything, especially money! Let's talk about it
Scriptures:
1 Timothy 6:17-18
2 Peter 1:3
God sometimes challenges us with the very thing He blessed us with - our wealth, our jobs, our ministry, our families, etc.
He wants to know our hearts are really for Him, and not to walk away sad when He challenges us like the rich young ruler.
Scripture: Matthew 19: 16-22
Preparedness - a state or condition of being completely ready for something, especially some kind of disaster
Are you completely ready? - Matthew 25: 1-13
Readiness should be a state that everyone who believes in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ remains in.
How to stay ready:
Prayer
Fasting
Read the word
Coming together in fellowship
Sharing the gospel

Jonah received an assignment from God but ran away and fell asleep while in disobedience. As Jonah's story continues, we see that he is swallowed up by a fish as a consequence of his disobedience but later flips the script and repents.
His act of repentance causes him to be rescued by God and an entire nation to be saved. That's the good news! There is a flip side - when we choose to be obedient, we reap the fruits of it - salvation, hope and good rewards.
Prayer: God, wake me up to the things that I have been disobedient in and help to move forward in obedience. I ask that you forgive me for neglecting what you said and doing my own thing. Help me to walk in your perfect way, in Jesus name, amen .
Jonah received an assignment from God but ran away and fell asleep while in disobedience. Are some of us like Jonah?
What things has God told us to do that we simply didn't and got comfortable in? What is God calling you to do right now?
Scripture reference: Jonah 1: 1-6
Prayer: God, wake me up to the things that I have been disobedient in and help to move forward in obedience. I ask that you forgive me for neglecting what you said and doing my own thing. Help me to walk in your perfect way, in Jesus name, amen .
So most cars/phones have GPS systems nowadays. We use them often to get us to places we've never been before. Most times getting where you have to go is pretty easy using the GPS, even if it leads you to unconventional places...
What about when our spiritual GPS, Holy Spirit, leads you to unconventional places? Do you panic or simply trust the GPS?

Settle definition -
3 Reasons why you should never settle:
Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Ephesians 2:10 - “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

We all struggle with worry, fear and anxiety... especially me! But God's word has given us an antidote to conquer and overcome it. Let's talk about!
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT - ”Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.“
Action Steps according to Phil 4:6-7
Pray- about everything
Say - what you need. Be like a child asking your Father. Children are almost never afraid to ask
Thank- God for what He did previously. Keep a journal of gratitude so you can look back and remember.
Experience- His peace. When we do all these things and engage God in this space - His peace guards us.
Lastly, amidst all the worrying and fear, REMEMBER
Exodus 14:14 -
”The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”“
God’s got your back!

I recently got a performance evaluation at work... and that got me thinking what does a performance evaluation look like for a believer? Is it similar to the ones we get on our jobs? How are we graded?
Jesus tells just how He evaluates us in John 15. Let's talk about it.
Performance Evalution: a process used by organizations to give employees feedback on their job performance and formally document that performance.(according to Google)

Total Obedience What is total obedience in our walk with God? It means doing what He says when He says where He says it. Being obedient can result in us having to say or do some hard things like Isaiah in this passage. However, no matter how hard or crazy the instruction may seem, there is a reward in simply going with God. Scriptures - Isaiah 38: 1-8- 2 Kings 20:1-10- Acts 5:1-10 Is God calling you to do a hard thing? Does it seem like what He is telling you to do is crazy? You’re in good company… simply be obedient and watch how He’ll work everything out for good. ***Got questions or comments? Have you ever prayed a prayer simply for the sake of praying and not expect God to answer or give you a directive? The thing about prayer is that it is a conversation between you and your Creator. It is active and it involves waiting in anticipation and expectation for God will say. We have to: 1. Expect a response - Habakkuk 2:1 NIV”I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.“2. Test what comes - if it’s from God, it won’t b contrary to His word- 1 John 4:1-2 NIV”Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,“3. Have Faith - Hebrews 11:6 NIV”And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.“ Having an expectation of God makes it more likely that you will receive from Him.Examine your expectations of God today. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/galy-j/message

Have you ever gotten a “no” from God? We all have. Sometimes it comes across as Him not loving us or not wanting to have something but did you know that there are several reasons God might say no? No - Not for you/not a good thing - 1 Kings 13 No - Not the right time - Genesis 16 No - Hope, Pause & Wait - longer wait… David coming to the throneGod is a good Father and as a parent, He knows what’s best for His children. So just like any good parent who knows us and foresees the future, His “no” is for our protection, maturity and expression of His love. It’s easy to hide and dim who you are but that’s not what God has called us to do. He wants us to shine bright so the whole world can see. Let’s talk about it. Isaiah 60:1-4 NIV ““Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Job 38:4-5 KJV“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it?”Some time ago, I shared about the blessing of trusting God, then last week was when God says to let go, so this is “Where were You?” Based out of Job 38… So in a recent situation, I found myself questioning a particular directive God had given and transparently, I questioned whether God’s directive would be good for me or not. Obviously it was good because it’s God but because I did that.. God led me to Job..Who faced similar but all be it definitely more extenuating circumstances but asked so many questions that it seemed like He had placed God on trial.. But the basis of this question wasn’t centered around Job.. it was about God? So God asked me.. where were you? Someone who has vision afar off. Genesis 13:14-17 “But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.”Hebrews 11:13 “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”Vision - the ability to see afar off --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/galy-j/message

Praying Informed Prayers: Praying for Hope Did you know that as Christians, we should be praying the word of God? One of the most powerful things we can do for ourselves as Christians/believers/Christ followers is to be informed by the word. As we inform ourselves with the word, our spirits are better able to combat the lies of the enemy with the truth. Every problem in life can be solved in this way .. even depression . God wants us to be like children... but sadly, we don't to be. Society and modern culture have done a really good job of convincing us to want to be self-reliant and self-promoting. But still, we have to be like CHILDREN. Let's talk about it.
Scriptures: Isaiah 28: 9-10 “Who does the Lord think we are?” they ask. “Why does he speak to us like this? Are we little children, just recently weaned? He tells us everything over and over— one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there!”
Matthew 18:3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.
1 Corinthians 2:3 Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.” And again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise; he knows they are worthless.

Genesis 22: 10-16
Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”
“Here I am,” he replied. “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram[a] caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, “I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,

God loves you. That’s bottom line, the top line and the only line that matters. He loves you, He cares for you and wants you to come to Him, always.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoso ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Romans 8:38-39 NIV “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Psalms 48:9 NIV “Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.”
Are you limiting God in your life?
Have you placed God and yourself in a box?
God wants to do infinitely more with us, through us, and for us! We just need to give Him the room. Make space for God to interrupt your life... to speak to you in the different diverse ways that He does.. just like He did with those in the Bible.
Prayer: Dear God, show me where I am limiting you in my life. I pray that you would help to break those limits. I want more of you God and I am breaking out of the box to experience more in Jesus' name, I pray, amen.

Comparison is a thief of joy.. that we have to stop dead in it’s tracks. How do we do it? By God’s word: Psalms 139:13-18 NIV“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Hey fam.. so the other day I was having a conversation with an old colleague of mine and it got me thinking…. We focus so much on the bad things in life that we neglect to celebrate the good things. We have to make time to celebrate and not feel bad about it. Who cares if we meet the worlds standard or not? We operate by God’s calendar.. so celebrate… each good thing.. each win no matter how big or small. Make it a point to give God thanks and celebrate. Scriptures used: Job 14:1, Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

So thank you to that person because here I am doing it. Today, I share a few tips that have helped me with prayer and I hope these help you too. Listen, subscribe & share!
Definition of TROPISM: the turning of all or part of an organism in a particular direction in response to an external stimulus. (Learn more here -link)
Question: What am I leaning towards?
Scripture - Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
What should I be leaning towards? (i.e. Where should my tropism be?)
Lean towards:
God and His Kingdom. Acknowledge God for who He is. Make it Public!
God's direction - HE shall direct thy paths
God Himself - Knowing God more....
Prayer: Lord, I understand that leaning on my own understanding won't get me very far this year. So I am asking you to help me not to. Teach me and help me to rely/lean on you. Direct my paths this year God as I submit my year to you, in Jesus name, amen.

Happy New Year Podcast Fam! Let's Reflect.
Last year was interesting to say the least but I'm happy that God brought us through and taught us some lessons. In this episode, I share a few things that God taught me and reminded me of last year (and if you'd like to do the same, comment and leave a review in the Q&A section).
I learned:
There's always a work-around/ Everything is figure-outable.
Emotional growth is very important.
I'm not always right (This one was the hardest..lol).
I'm grateful for the lessons learnt and I look forward to what the lessons and or reminders will be this year. Want to share the things that you've learnt? Comment below. And don't forget to subscribe & leave us a review.
I'm amazed at how God can use anything to speak to us- movies, people, signs, nature etc. While watching a movie the other night, God showed me something: The enemy is always seeking someone to devour - always looking for someone who is vulnerable, isolated and alone.. but we are not. We have a God who is greater and is on our side every step of the way! God will never leave us or forsake us! Scripture: Deuteronomy 28:7; Matthew 28:20
Definition of Faithful: remaining loyal and steadfast. Faithfulness is God's warranty. What is prayer? Prayer is communication with God. It's a place to petition, beckon and wrestle in the spirit, like Jacob did (Genesis 37). God's desire for us to be faithful in prayer. However, it's not only that He wants us to be faithful but faith-filled, i.e. fully convicted in what we are hoping and or praying for because the effecutal and fervent prayer of the righteous man avails much. (James 5:16b). Let's dive in! Subscribe & Share!
What does it mean to be "patient for affliction"? Definition of Patience: capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, and suffering or enduring or waiting as a determination of the will.... Definition of Affliction: Something that makes you suffer, physically or mentally that causes persistent pain or distress. Scriptures: Psalms 34:19, Psalms 119:71, Isaiah 48:10.... How Gold is Refined: https://youtu.be/WNvuJPX9-h8
Waiting on God isn't always the easier thing...especially when there seems to be everything but the thing you're waiting on to happen, but scripture encourages us to be joyful in hope. Let's dive into what that means today.
Happy Thanksgiving podcast fam! Two days ago, I was asking God what this week's topic should be and he gave me a portion of scripture from Acts 20:35 ..."it is more blessed to give than to receive." So I did what any normal person would do, I researched what Giving does for you. Let's dive in together. * Scriptures referenced: Acts 2:35, Luke 6:38**** Article: https://www.worldvision.org/charitable-giving-news-stories/5-things-happen-body-give
Being Yourself can be hard sometimes, especially when being someone else seems to great. But I want to encourage you today to be yourself because YOU MATTER! Your story matters, your personality matters! Everything about you, matters! Be encouraged ❤️
Bad news makes you panic.. it does it to everyone. It creates fear and causes anxiety, and while that's a normal reaction, we can't stay in that place. Let's talk about Psalms 91 || Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. Psalms 91:1-8 NIV ****** Song: No Reason to Fear - https://youtu.be/ygaXEvVaGQ8
P.S. There's a hurricane passing through The Bahamas so do keep up in prayer. God bless

What happens when you feel uncertain about a particular area in your life? Does fear, doubt and anxiety creep in? How do you combat it?
By turning to scripture...
Hey podcast fam, so this week was pretty rough for me, because the same message I am sharing today put me through the wringer (I'm actually still in the wringer, lol.. but God is faithful). But I was having a really hard time this week and God led me back to this podcast episode that I recorded a few months ago. I sat down, listened to the episode and found comfort in the scriptures that were shared. So I decided to come and share it (again) with you guys, because I am hoping that it would be encouraging for you as well.
Uncertainty is an inevitable feeling, or state.... we face uncertainty everyday, however, it is the fear of the unknown that the enemy takes advantage, trying to cause fear, anxiety and depression. Therefore, we have to cling to God's word and trust that even though we may have no clue of what our next step would look like but God has it all mapped out.
The idea of looking back or going back isn't really something we like to do think about. But what if God says to go back?
In today's episode, we explore some cases where God told his servants to go back and with GOOD reason. Is there something the Lord is urging you to re-visit?
How does that look ?
Scripture:
Isaiah 38:4-5
1 Kings 19:15
Genesis 16:9
Hey podcast fam.
Today, I felt led to share a little of my testimony so listen in and feel free to ask any questions (in the Q&A/Comment section). I was in a season in my life, facing eviction and with no place to live and praying for a breakthrough. Something temporary had opened up but I wanted a space to call my own, and honestly, I thought that God had forgotten about me.... but I kept pushing... and later on God answered.
During my meditation this week, God has reminded me of the power of persistent, consistent and specific prayers. There are times in our lives where we find ourselves praying for a change or a breakthrough, whether it be in our families, jobs, financially or whatever else, but this breakthrough cant seem to come fast enough or it feels like God just isn't listening.. but DONT GIVE UP!
because you are at the very edge of what you are praying for. Stay the course, keep praying and don't give up. God isn't done yet!

It's easy to get so caught up in life with the things that are necessary but not really needful... That was me this week. And of course, the Holy Spirit course corrected me.
Today, we dive into Luke 10:38-42, where Jesus visits a pair of sisters- one who takes the opportunity to simply sit at his feet and the other who is concerned with being a good host. If you read the text, you see that Martha receives a rebuke from Jesus that makes her see that all the things that she is doing maybe not entirely 'needful'. Let's dive in.
Questions to consider:
What are some things that you think are needful but really aren't?
How can you prioritize your time to do the most 'needful' things, i.e. prayer, spending time with God & His word?

Hey yall! Welcome to today's podcast.
Today we are talking about battling against the spirit of oppression and I share a personal experience of how I didn't realize it but God gave me insight in hindsight. Sometimes, things are hard and honestly, we just feel like giving up. Other times, the enemy send out attacks of oppression and depression on our lives to cause us to not achieve our purpose in God.
This is where we have to have the discernment to realize what Satan is doing. And the wisdom to counteract. Let's dive in! Be sure to subscribe and share this with a friend.

Many times, we don't understand the depth and or weight of the vision that God gives us as Christians/Believers and His children. But that's why we have to seek Him, we have to understand that whatever God gives us, is way(x10) beyond us and our generation, but for generations to come. On the other hand, those of us who do some understanding undermine that we can even be used in the capacity that God is revealing to us. We literally tell God (who created us) that we aren't capable enough, smart enough, or 'holy' enough when God just wants us to come exactly as we are and allow Him to do the rest. He just wants a willing vessel.
So let's dive in!

Hey podcast family! I want to ask you a question: Are you working the work? Jesus says in John 9:4 that we have to work while it is day, because when night comes no man can work. So I want to encourage you to take some time this week and find out what the "work" that you should be doing is! What does it look like? What does it sound like? Who does it impact? How? Ask God.... and He'll answer.
Hey family! Today's message was an awesome revelation from that He had to me to share. Key verse - Proverbs 3:5 - read it, memorize it, live it!
Happy Thursday podcast fam! This week's topic is all about overcoming temptation. We live in a time where temptation for the woman or man doing their best to walk with the Lord is at every turn. But today; I want to encourage you not to give in... it may look like Gold but it's likely that it's just glitter- meaning totally fake and having no real value.
Happy Thursday guys!

Hey family! So in today's episode, I was led to share a sermonette I did at church for Good Friday- one of the seven last sayings of Jesus. I pray 5his encourages you in some way and that you are reminded that God feels what you feel because He was human too 🙏. Subscribe & Share!
Do you know that you're chosen? You are chosen to be God's very own! And today I want to remind you about that... sometimes life throws us curveballs that cause us to forget who we are.. and while that may be okay for the moment, those are the times that the enemy pounces in attempts to make us feel even worse. This is why we have to remember God's truth and remember what He says about us. YOU ARE CHOSEN! Be sure to subscribe & share with someone if this blesses you.
All of creation operate in times and seasons, that includes us too. But sometimes, it can be difficult to determine what kind of season we're in in our lives... we may think we are in a season of harvest when in fact we're in a season of sowing. We may think that we may be in a season if dryness when actually it's abundance or vice versa. The Bible says that there is a time for everything under the sun. Our job is to find that out through prayer and listening to Holy Spirit. Praying this message encourages you today! Be sure to subscribe & share this with a friend.
Hey there podcast family!
Every so often when I need a bit of advice or confirmation, Holy Spirit leads me back to this podcast episode. It encourages me and reminds that though I May not feel or see it, God is with. And the challenge is to remember that and declare God's truth.
This walk isn't easy but we have to trust God in what He is leading us to do. Trust God and accept the challenge.
Praying you're encouraged! Grace & Peace! <3
When you get a promise from God, do you expect Him to make it happen, or do you think that it is all on you?
Today, we uncover the how of God's promises with a pointed focus on Abraham and Sarah. God always provides the way for the promise He has made to us and never fails. He doesn't go back on His word and has perfect timing.
My prayer for you today is that you would be encouraged to wait on God's how- because He has given us the vision, He will definitely give the provision.
Subscribe & Share this with a friend!
Is your timeline committed to God?
How do you feel when God tells you to wait? Or when God gives you a vision or a dream but doesn't tell you when it is going to happen?
Well, today we uncover that. God is all-knowing and all-powerful. And He is the God of perfect timing too. God teaches us through the process of waiting and trust in Him, and knowing that He will do it when He is ready and when we are ready.
So wait on the Lord, and be encouraged. Be sure to subscribe and share this epsiode with a friend!
What's your why? Why do you want the things you want? Why do you feel the way you feel? Why you want to do the things you want to do?
Today, as we continue in our series called Matters of the Heart, we're diving into the why. Take some time to reflect and ask the Lord to reveal your why, in any area of your life. And if you find that your why isn't something that's necessarily good, then ask God to purge it. God can and will do it.
Scripture:
Acts 5
Proverbs 4:23
Jeremiah 17:10
Do you know what's in your heart?
The bible talks a lot about the heart and so does our culture, but what are we really referring to when we mention the heart? What is implied when we say things are in our hearts? And do we really know what goes on in there?
This topic is actually something that God has been teaching me about for a bit when it came to matters of my own heart- which revealed some ugly things that led me to just repent before God. So, as we dive in, it's my prayer that you'd be challenged to ask God to search your heart too and let Him walk you through the inner workings of your heart.
Share this with someone you know that needs to hear it.
Do you remember where we're going?

Today's special guest is none other than one of my best friends and sister in Christ- Actlange Liberal, who shares her story of overcoming health challenges amidst other things while trusting God every step of the way.
This will definitely blow your mind!
What I find most amazing about her testimony is that she kept trusting God to the very end, holding onto the word of healing that He had released. She trusted HIm to come through and He did. That's the kind of God we serve! He is the God who never goes back on His word and always shows up in His perfect time!

Hi Podcast family and Happy New Year! We're so glad to be back on the podcast and talking with you. To start off the New Year, we are diving into a series called Stories of Faith. Inspired by the scripture in Revelation 12:10-11, God has led me to launch this series where people get to come on and share their stories of how they believed God and He answered.
Lately, I've been finding encouragement in hearing people's testimonies and just having my imagination expanded in that way - like if God can do it for them, why can't He do it for me? It's just been reminding me of how BIG, GREAT and AWESOME GOD IS! Because He truly is!
Today, I share my story of how I came to know God- and how He literally transformed my life from being an atheistic misguided teen to someone who is not ashamed of the gospel and preaching for His glory. I'm extremely grateful to God for the way He has utterly transformed my life and grateful for all of you in the podcast world.
So be sure to tune in to hear some amazing testimonies of different faith walkers who have inspired me to continue the faith. Remember to Subscribe & Share!

Hey Podcast Family, our topic for today is pretty unusual but it's great for reflection. So take a dive with me into the book of Jonah and make it a time of introspection. I encourage you to pray and ask God if there's any area of your life that you're going the wrong way in and just turn back - Repent and come back to Him.
Hey everyone! This week we're tackling the topic of accountability and why it's really important, especially to us as believers. Accountability makes us more likely to achieve set goals and increases productivity. It helps us to be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely (SMART) about the things that God is laying on our hearts to do and our specific goals in general. The word of God says that "one can put a thousand to flight, but TWO can put 10,000"... so get accountable! I pray that this blesses you this week and encourages you to be smart about your goals and committing them to prayer. Subscribe and share this with a friend.
Hey podcast family! Happy Thanksgiving! This week we're talking about Forgiveness and not just any forgiveness, but the quick kind. Earlier this week, I faced a situation where I had to forgive quickly and God allowed me to walk through it with the actionable steps that I share in today's episode. These steps are not hard and fast and of course can be altered as God leads you.. but the end goal is to forgive quickly. The quicker you can forgive, the better it is for your relationship with God. It's not for the other person, but for you. So, I pray this encourages you and helps you to learn to forgive as we all walk and be encouraged together. Scripture ref: Luke 6:28
Hey podcast family. Today, we're talking about being a new creation. God is so good that He sent His Son Jesus to die for us to be new... so if you're new, why are you still holding to the old things? We've got to LET THEM GO! God has forgiven you and He want you to know that you're new today and every day... and every time we repent, He throws our sin in the sea of forgetfulness... talk about real newness huh? So embrace the new.. and become effective! Share this with a friend! Love you!
Hey family... YOU MATTER! It doesn't matter if you can't do it like them, there are things that God has called you to do in this world that only YOU can do. You have purpose. Hi there! In this week's episode, we talk about doubt, how it looks in our lives and how we can combat it. One of the major reasons we have doubt is because the enemy whispers in our ears things that make us doubt God! And sometimes we don't even recognize it! But today, we are coming against every lie of satan! I'm praying this encourages you to live to your fill potential and be the faith filled individual God has called you to be!
While attending a missions conference last year, a speaker told us to pray a prayer saying "God disturb my plans"... I prayed that prayer earnestly and God surely did disturb my plans. He disturbed it for His glory! So, I challenge you to pray that prayer and let God disturb you. Look up the original prayer by Francis Drake and pray it earnestly. It will change you life. I love you but God loves you more! Have a great week! SUBSCRIBE & SHARE!
Hey kingdom builders! Have you ever felt like God brought you to a place and then abandoned you? Yea? Me too.. and that what's I share about. The thing is GOD NEVER LEAVES US... but sometimes, when things are quiet, we think He has. And other times, we forget that God has come through before and He most certainly can do it again. And, just like the Israelites, we can fall into complaining over the most trivial things. But even in that, He gives us grace and shows us His amazing goodness perpetually. His provision and reassurance shows up and reminds that He is still God. He is STILL God and He is STILL good! So, I hope this episode encourages you to take it one step at a time because God is faithful. Let's wait well by praying, reading the word, obeying His commands, seeking Godly relationships and just honoring God's truth. Got prayer requests? Send them here@ livinglikelights@gmail.com Check out our website for new blog posts, study resources and more! @ livinglikelights.com
We've all been to this point... thinking that we failed God in some way or another because of something we did or simply falling into sin. But I'm here to encourage you that God's grace is greater than mistakes. His power is bigger than our flaws and His love covers all sins. We have to make a habit of running to the Father always... praying this encourages you and if it does, share with others. Send prayer requests to livinglikelights@gmail.com and check out our website @ www.livinglikelights.com for study resources and so much more... I love you but please note that God loves you so much more! Have a blessed week kingdom builder!
Hi there kingdom builders! In today's episode, we dive into Romans 12:1-2 and what it really means to live according to God's word and being transformed by the renewing of our minds. Yall, I cannot stress how important it is for us to stay in God's word- but honestly please believe, God's word has everything we need to live our lives for Him. He has given us every answer in His word. I challenge you to read a chapter a day of a book in the bible of your choice (that is if you are not engaged in your bible already)... if you want a suggestion from me - start with Romans. You will be blessed! Write down what God says to you through each chapter and read it again for good measure. Be sure to stick to the challenge! Honestly, you won't be the same!
Anyways you guys, I pray this episode blesses you, encourages you, admonishes you, challenges you.. whatever it does to you, I give all glory to God.

I hope this is encouraging to you this week, and brings some kind of positive change. May God bless you continually! In Jesus name! (DISCLAIMER: The reference to Deborah was highlighting the fact that her serving as a judge was an anomaly. God called her, appointed her and used her to lead his people. She served as a prophetess and judge, in full capacity.)
