Does the thought of choosing a niche freak you out?

As a coach, the idea of choosing a niche may bring about feelings of overwhelm or resistance. You may worry that having a niche will limit your business or close doors for potential opportunities. However, choosing a niche is essential for standing out in the coaching industry and attracting the right clients.

Having a niche makes you a bigger fish in a smaller pond. Instead of being a small fish in a big pond full of other coaches, you stand out more to a smaller, more specific audience. This makes your coaching more appealing and valuable to potential clients.

While it's true that having a niche closes certain doors, it also opens up doors to a more specific and urgent audience. By narrowing your focus, you become incredibly appealing to a smaller audience rather than mildly appealing to everyone.

In this episode, you will learn how to overcome niche resistance and scale your coaching practice.

The term "trauma" has become a buzzword in the coaching industry and the personal development space, to the point where it has lost its true meaning.

Many people now use the term to describe any distressing experience, undermining the severity and impact of true trauma. This overuse of the word not only dilutes its meaning but also undermines our own resilience.

Coaching is not a modality to heal trauma, and coaches should not attempt to coach clients through trauma. If a client presents with trauma, it is the ethical duty of the coach to refer them to a therapist who is trained to handle trauma.

While coaching is not designed to address trauma, it can still be incredibly valuable in helping clients navigate emotional pain and distress. Coaches can support clients through fear, anxiety, confusion, overwhelm, frustration, and shame. Coaching provides a space for clients to explore their emotions, gain clarity, and develop strategies to move forward.

In this episode, we explore what trauma is and the role it plays in a coach-client relationship.

Tolerating mediocrity is like a disease that eats away at our dreams. It is the energy we expend to settle for a life that is just "good enough."

When we tolerate things in our lives, whether it be relationships, careers, or our own contributions, we are settling for less than what we truly desire. This leads to a life that lacks meaning and excitement.

Tolerating something means justifying or rationalizing its existence. We often use phrases like "it is what it is" or "at least it's fine" to convince ourselves that we should accept the situation.

In this episode, we revisit the concept of "tolerations" so you discover how to take your life from good to great.

A coach is not your friend.

In the world of coaching, one of the key distinctions between a coaching relationship and a friendship is the coach's ability to offer an objective perspective. While friends may provide guidance and advice based on their personal experiences, their bias towards preserving the friendship can limit their objectivity. On the other hand, a coach is trained to listen deeply and understand what is blocking their clients. They use this understanding to ask powerful questions that help clients gain insights and generate awareness to move forward.

Another significant difference between coaching and friendship lies in the professional training that coaches undergo. Coaches are trained professionals equipped with various tools and methodologies to help their clients navigate challenges and conflicts. This training enables coaches to offer a level of expertise and guidance that friends may not possess.

You can be a friendly coach, but this still does not mean you are your client's friend. In this episode, you will learn about the key differences between a coach and a friend.

When we start imagining a better life, our brains often try to convince us to wait and resolve other issues before pursuing our visions. In this episode, we will re-visit the concept of Vision Force and how it can help us honor our dreams and create the life we truly desire.

When we envision a better life for ourselves, we often experience a constant push and pull between our current circumstances and the life we want to live. Our brains try to bring us back to reality, listing all the reasons why we should wait or why our visions are not realistic. This tug of war between our heads and our hearts can be discouraging and lead us to put our visions on hold.

Vision Force is the determination and belief that we will make our vision a reality, even if it doesn't feel logical or realistic. It's about forcing our vision into our current life and taking action to bring it to fruition. Our brains may try to convince us that we need to resolve other issues first, but it's essential to remember that there is no perfect time. Waiting for the right moment only leads to more excuses and reasons to delay our visions.

So, what is your vision? Are you making decisions that bring you closer to the life you want or keeping yourself stuck in the life you currently have? Embrace vision force, force your vision into reality, and watch as your dreams become a reality. You are worth it, and the best gift you can offer yourself and those you care about is being an example of what is possible. Start now, and let your vision unfold.

Meta Coaching is the process of addressing a client's patterns, behaviors, and responses to the coaching process itself. It goes beyond the content of the conversations and delves into how the client expresses themselves, engages with the coaching goals, and responds to the coach.

There are three different ways in which you can use Meta Coaching with your clients: how the client expresses themselves and shares their thoughts, how they respond to the overall coaching process, and how they respond to you as their coach.

In coaching sessions, clients often share their thoughts and emotions as they work through their challenges. However, it's important to pay attention to how they express themselves and the patterns and themes that emerge. For example, some clients may apologize for feeling certain emotions, as if they need permission to experience them. By addressing this tendency to apologize, you can help them embrace their emotions without judgment or apology.

The way a client engages with the coaching process can also provide valuable insights into their overall approach to personal growth and development. For example, if a client consistently shows up late to sessions, it may indicate a lack of commitment or difficulty with time management. By addressing this behavior, you can help them explore any underlying issues that may be hindering their progress.

The coach-client relationship is an intimate one, requiring trust, vulnerability, and open communication. How a client responds to the coach can also provide valuable insights into the dynamics of other relationships. For example, if a client becomes defensive or resistant, it may indicate underlying issues such as fear of failure or a need for control. By addressing this defensiveness, you can help them explore their fears and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Meta Coaching goes beyond the content of the coaching sessions and delves into the client's patterns, behaviors, and responses to the coaching process. By addressing these underlying issues, you can create a more effective and transformational coaching experience.

One of the most debated topics among coaches is whether to offer a low-ticket or high-ticket coaching program. In this episode, we will explore the differences between the two and debunk common myths surrounding high-ticket coaching programs.

Selling a high-ticket program is not about exploiting people to make more money. It's actually a sustainable business model that allows you to service individuals on a deeper level.

When you charge a higher price for your coaching, you attract clients who are committed and invested in their own transformation. These clients are more likely to take the coaching process seriously and achieve better results.

Additionally, by charging a higher price, you have the financial resources to create more free value and resources for a wider audience, thus helping more people overall.

While low-ticket offers can have their place in a coach's business model, incorporating a high-ticket program can lead to greater financial success and the ability to help more people. The future of coaching lies in the hands of coaches who are willing to embrace the power of high-ticket coaching and unlock their full potential.

As a life coach, it is crucial to understand the different coaching styles and how they can impact your clients.

This episode will explore two scales of coaching styles: affirming vs. challenging and calm vs. enthusiastic.

An affirming coaching style is characterized by a gentle and encouraging approach. By using a more affirming coaching style, you can build your clients' confidence and provide emotional support when needed.

A challenging coaching style involves being direct and honest with your clients. This coaching style can help hold your clients accountable, especially when urgent action is required.

A calm coaching style is characterized by a peaceful and relaxed energy. This approach can be beneficial when clients need moments of reflection, deep introspection, or contemplation.

An enthusiastic coaching style involves high energy and inspiration. This approach can lift your clients' spirits and motivate them to take action.

Remember, coaching is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Each client is unique, and their needs may vary. By understanding and incorporating different coaching styles, you can create a personalized and impactful coaching experience for your clients.

In this episode, we will show you how to discover your unique blend of coaching styles that serve both you and your clients.

Do you ever feel like you have a calling in life?

When we talk about a calling, we are referring to a strong inner urge or conviction to pursue a particular vocation, career, or way of life that is deeply meaningful and aligned with your values, passions, and a higher sense of purpose.

A calling goes beyond a traditional job. It is something that ignites a fire within you and pulls you towards a specific path.

A calling is something that you feel deeply passionate about. It gives you a sense of purpose and fulfillment. It is the difference between doing something because you have to and doing something because you love it.

Your calling is unique to you. It may not make sense to others, and that's okay. It is a personalized path that resonates with your individuality. Your calling may go against societal norms, but it is essential to honor it and not suppress it due to external pressures.

A calling is often tied to a sense of contribution. It allows you to make a positive impact on others, whether on an individual, community, or societal level. It fulfills one of our inherent human needs – the need to contribute and provide value to others.

When you honor your calling, you allow yourself to live authentically and in alignment with your values, and offer a positive influence on others. It enables you to make a meaningful contribution and creates a sense of purpose and longevity in your work.

However, neglecting your calling comes with its own costs. It leads to a lack of fulfillment, burnout, and chronic stress. The most significant cost is the regret that comes from not pursuing your calling and feeling like you have missed out on your true potential.

In this episode, we further explore what it means to have a calling and guiding questions to uncover what your calling may be.

Resistance is a natural response to change, uncertainty, and stepping outside of our comfort zones. It manifests as doubt, fear, and anxiety, causing us to hesitate, procrastinate, or avoid opportunities that could lead to growth and fulfillment.

However, what if these emotions are not inherently negative or problematic? Instead, what if what you are experiencing is what it feels like to be alive?

Your doubt, fear, and anxiety are not obstacles to be overcome. They are signs that you are fully engaged with life.

Do you ever feel like you are doing all that you can, but nothing is working?

The truth is: work is always working.

Work can work in one of two ways: it can work FOR US or it can work ON US.

When work is "working on you," it means that the experience of engaging in that work is contributing to your personal growth and transformation.

This could be in the form of challenges, setbacks, or learning opportunities that help you become more resilient, adaptable, and skillful.

The work may require you to step outside your comfort zone, face obstacles, and develop new skills.

Over time, these experiences shape your character, mindset, and abilities, making you better equipped to handle future challenges and opportunities.

When work is "working for you," it means that the work is producing positive outcomes and benefits for you.

This could manifest as financial success, professional recognition, or achieving your desired goals.

When you are pursuing any goal, you will need the work to work ON YOU before it can work FOR YOU.

In this episode, we cover how the concept of "working" really works.

Traditional coaching focuses on getting clients to think positive thoughts.

However, a modern-day coach must know the difference between a thought and a belief.

Just because someone thinks a thought does not mean they belief it.

Thoughts are like fleeting sentences in the mind, while beliefs are deeply rooted in our bones.

So how do you discern whether our clients are simply thinking thoughts or if they have embraced powerful beliefs that can truly transform their lives?

In this episode, we'll share real-life examples, and coaching techniques to help you navigate this distinction.

We'll explore how positive-sounding affirmations can sometimes mask deeper doubts and prevent your clients from fully embodying the empowering beliefs they need to thrive.

Whether it's improving your relationships, health, or career, we'll uncover the most common (and most sneaky) thoughts people that hold them back.

You'll also learn about the delicate balance between "fake it till you make it" and genuinely believing in something so that way you can belief new thoughts while still feeling authentic.

As a coach, one of the biggest challenges is helping your clients manage their emotions effectively.

Just like a pendulum, emotions can swing back and forth, and finding the right balance between allowing and shifting is key to helping our clients thrive.

When someone allows an emotion, they are essentially allowing the pendulum to swing in one direction. They are fully experiencing the emotion and allowing it to be present in their awareness without trying to change or suppress it.

On the other hand, when someone tries to shift an emotion, they are attempting to pull the pendulum back in the opposite direction. They may be trying to distract themselves or change their emotional state in some way.

As coaches, it's our job to help our clients find the sweet spot where they can acknowledge and experience their emotions without getting stuck at one extreme or the other.

In this episode, we'll cover:

  • Understanding the difference between allowing and shifting emotions
  • The benefits and risks of both approaches
  • How to recognize when a client is trying to avoid their emotions
  • Coaching questions and techniques to encourage clients to connect to their emotions
  • Strategies to help clients shift painful emotions in a healthy way

By the end of this episode, you'll have a deeper understanding of how to help your clients manage their emotions more effectively.

Knowing when to allow an emotion and when to shift it is a critical skill that can make all the difference in your coaching sessions.

How does a coach differ from a consultant?

Consultants give information. Coaches ask questions.

Consultants offer ideas. Coaches generate ideas from clients.

Consultants share their story. Coaches tap into the client’s experience.

Consultants present solutions. Coaches expand the client’s thinking.

Every coach goes through a Hustle Phase. This is generally the first year or two when everything is brand new.

What do you do when you are NOT in a coaching session, and someone brings up a challenge they are going through?

You may naturally be showing up as a coach in all contexts without realizing it, even in contexts where you aren't coaching a client.

You might have people call you out and say, "Are you coaching me right now?!"

But, because someone is complaining about a problem does not mean they want to solve it.

And, because you are a coach does not mean you are obligated to be the listening ear for your friends and family's problems all the time.

It's appropriate to be coach-like, but not to be someone's coach (if they aren't your client).

If someone is not your client, their problems are not your responsibility.

You do not need confidence before you start something new.

Our brains may trick us into thinking that before we get started, we should feel more confident.

For coaches, you may think, "I will be able to get clients WHEN I am more confident."

This is actually not true. You don't need confidence to move forward in life. WHAT you actually need is WILLINGNESS.

The willingness to get started. The willingness for things to be messy.

And, frankly, the willingness to suck at something before you become really good at it.

As long as you are WILLING to show up, explore, and say yes... your confidence will go up.

While there is no regulation for the coaching industry, we do have a governing body.

That governing body is known as the International Coach Federation (ICF).

While the ICF does not regulate the industry, they do create a standard for ethics and professionalism so that coaches operate with integrity.

The ICF also does not train coaches, but they do provide accreditation to certain programs that meet their standards and Code of Ethics.

It is not easy for a program to receive accreditation with the ICF, but Thriving Coach Academy has earned its highest level of accreditation.

When it comes to having credibility as a coach, it is essential you receive certification from a program accredited by the ICF.

In this episode, we demystify the ICF and share with you all that you need to know about establishing credibility as a coach.

Failure is unavoidable in life. We all will fail.

Rather than fearing failure, what if you were intentional about the TYPE of failure you experience?

Good Failure is the failure you experience while you are pursuing your calling. It's the failure you experience as you are putting yourself out there and sharing your gifts with the world.

While you may be experiencing difficulties on the outside, on the inside you know that you are living your truth. You can also think of this as Outward Failure and Inward Success.

Bad Failure is the failure you experience when you know deep down you are capable of more. It's when you are successful on the outside but unfulfilled on the inside.

You are going through the motions, but you feel like you are not living to your potential. While others may praise and recognize you for accomplishments, your life doesn't carry much meaning.

You are wondering, "Is this really all?" You can also think of this as Inward Failure and Outward Success.

In this episode, I share how to understand your failures so you can show up to your life in the fullest way imaginable.

The key to making more money is knowing the difference between cost and value.

Cost is the investment you make in something. Value is the return you receive.

When you focus on the cost of something, it creates feelings of scarcity because you are focused on what you will lose. This scares you from taking action, which limits your life.

Alternatively, when you focus on the value of something, it creates abundance because you are focused on what you will gain. This inspires you to take action, which opens up possibilities in your life.

The more you understand the VALUE, the less relevant the COST becomes, and the more your life improves. Buying something for its VALUE will ultimately add VALUE to your life.

Buying something based on its COST will ultimately become COSTLY because the value is usually low, so you end up having more problems than you started with.

Whenever making any financial decisions, you want to first make sure you know the VALUE.

You want to ask yourself:

  • What do I have to gain from this?
  • What is the value I will receive?
  • What is the return I will get?

In this episode, I share how you can understand the difference between cost and value.

You will always have a part of your brain that will look for potential problems you may experience as you pursue big goals.

It is an impossible feat to try and completely rid yourself of worry.

But, what you can do is direct the worrying part of your brain to focus on problems you WANT to have. I call this a Desirable Problem.

Some problems have an upside. While they are still stressful, it's the stress you want to have.

These problems are really growing pains you have at the next level of success.

The key is to focus your brain on THOSE problems.

Doing this satisfies the part of your brain that needs to worry about something while also panting a seed in your mind that you will be successful.

For example, instead of worrying about finding clients as a coach, you can instead choose to worry about:

  • Having followers who are annoyed that your program sold out so quickly
  • Making too much money that you don't know what to do with it
  • Needing to hire a team because your business is growing so quickly

All of these things are Desirable Problems.

In this episode, I share how to discover your own Desirable Problems so you can worry in the best possible way.

How often do you allow yourself to dream?

Dreaming means letting your mind go anywhere it wants, allowing anything to be possible, and seeing things that aren't real yet.

Dreaming is one of the greatest gifts we have as humans. It's what has moved our species forward since the beginning of our existence.

But why do most adults stop dreaming? Because they forget how to do it. You don't need anyone's permission to dream something new for your life.

Your dreams don't need to make sense to anyone else but you. You get to decide what's possible because you are the creator of your life.

There is no dream that is “too big" because the purpose of a dream is to take your life as it is now and make it bigger.

It is safe for you to have wild dreams. It is safe for you to be successful. It is safe for you to want a better life. You don't need anyone else to be on board with your dreams. The only person who needs to be on board with your dreams is you.

In this episode, I share how to dream.

Do you like making decisions? Do decisions bring up anxiety for you?

Decisiveness is a leadership quality, and it's an essential quality to have if you want to become a successful coach and business owner.

When people say they are "stuck" in life, it's because they are not making decisions.

When people say they are exhausted in a career, it's because they are not making decisions.

When people are unhappy in a relationship, it's because they are not making decisions.

Making decisions generate power and move your life forward.

Many people worry that they will make a decision they regret, so they don't make any decisions at all.

The irony is that when you fear regret and don't make decisions, you miss out on life... and THAT becomes the ULTIMATE regret.

Alternatively, when you make uncomfortable decisions, you get to GROW from those decisions. And as a result, you live a life you NEVER regret.

It's the most uncomfortable decisions we make in life that transform it the most.

In this episode, I show you how to become a decisive person.

Do ever feel uncomfortable when you experience moments of silence in a coaching session?

You might feel pressure to ask the "right" question or use the "perfect" tool... and you ultimately freeze like a deer in headlights.

A coaching session does not need to always move forward. There is tremendous value in their being still during a session.

In fact, saying LESS in a coaching session will give your client MORE value. The moments of silence will often lead to your client's biggest breakthroughs.

When your client is experiencing discomfort, you may be tempted to help them resolve or fix this discomfort right away. You may want to hurry them to feel better.

But, what if what they actually need is to be STILL with their discomfort? What if there is nothing wrong with their discomfort? What if it's exactly what they need in order to grow?

In this episode, I share how to Hold Space with your clients so they can tap into their inner genius during moments of silence.

In a recent interview with Authority Magazine, I was asked what habits allowed me to have success in my coaching business. Here's what I came up with:

1) Sleeping in every day.

I decided early on that I was not going to sacrifice my health for success. Rather than wake up extremely early to make my life busier, I decided to sleep in and use my waking hours to focus ONLY on what would get me results. This allowed me to learn how to be productive instead of busy. When you give your brain LESS hours to work with, your brain becomes MORE efficient. You learn how to get more done in less time.

2) Embracing awkward conversations with strangers.

As an introvert, I avoided large social gatherings. I dreaded the awkwardness that came with meeting new people. But then I asked myself, "Is it worth it to have a moment of awkwardness if it meant this person's life will ultimately be transformed?" The answer was always yes. The more awkward conversations I fumbled through with strangers, the more my business ended up growing.

3) Asking for support.

I used to stubbornly try to figure everything out on my own. But then I realized that if I had a big mission, it would require big support. The moment I invested in professional training and mentorship was also when I saw everything start to skyrocket. There's no reason to reinvent the wheel if you want to succeed as a coach.

In this episode, I explain how you can incorporate these habits to hit your first $10k as a coach.

Do you share your achievements freely? Or, do you worry that doing so will make you look arrogant?

When you brag just to brag, it is annoying. But, when you share wins AND you are helping other people succeed too, it is inspiring.

It is not "humble" or "modest" to withhold your achievements. Keeping your successes a secret does not serve anyone. Hiding your gifts does no one any good.

When you shine, you give other people permission to shine as well. And, there's room for everyone to shine.

When you share your own wins and breakthroughs, you are enabling others to see what's possible for them.

In this episode, I share why it's OK (and necessary) to blow your own horn if you want to make a difference as a coach.

Do you ever wonder how to explain "life coaching" in a way so people actually get it?

The two biggest mistakes coaches make when explaining life coaching to others are:

1) Sharing a confusing elevator pitch. For example, "I help people break through all barriers so they can live to their potential!" Saying things like this will result in people looking at you like you have eight heads.

2) Educating them on the coaching process. For example, "I ask powerful questions, listen deeply, use tools to help you shift your mind, blah blah blah...". I hate to break it to you, but no one cares.

Most people don't care about coaching... but what they do care about is what results from coaching can get them.

In this episode, I share the best approach to use when talking about life coaching with people so that it actually makes sense.

Client Magnetism is the art of attracting clients with ease. Any coach can become a Client Magnet as long as they embody certain qualities.

The most important quality to have when becoming a Client Magnet is curiosity. When you approach all challenges in your business with curiosity, you will never get confused or overwhelmed. And, if you get curious enough times, you become a millionaire.

There are five stages most coaches get stuck are also where they fail to apply curiosity. Those stages are:

1) When you are just starting and don't know where to find clients.

2) When you are producing value but getting zero engagement.

3) When people are engaging with your content but not booking consults.

4) When people are booking consults but not showing up to them.

5) When clients are hiring you but giving up and quitting.

In this episode, I share how to bring curiosity to all of these five stages so you never feel stuck in your coaching business again.

Have you ever heard the phrase “busy being busy"? Many people are busy doing things that are not even moving them forward in life. They are doing lots of lots of things, but they are staying exactly where they’ve always been.

We all experience 24 hours in a day. It is perhaps the one thing that is equal amongst us all. Time is the most precious resource we have because once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Unfortunately, many people let time slip away doing things that aren't serving them. Being "too busy" is one of the greatest lies we tell ourselves. In fact, when people say, "I don’t have the time", it is total BS.

Many people wear their "busy-ness" as a badge of honor. They are proud of how busy they are because it makes them feel important. Sadly, it’s just sloppy time management.

But when it comes to having the life you want, it's important to stop thinking you are "too busy" and instead become more deliberate in how you spend your time.

In this episode, I share how to know your priorities, set clear boundaries, and discover how there is always enough time to do what you want.

When I began my coaching business, I realized there is not one magical strategy that works to find clients. And, my results didn't come from the actions I took, but from the thoughts, I had, that were fueling my actions. The more work I did on my thinking, the more my business grew.

One of the things I learned is that there are thoughts that repel clients and thoughts that attract clients. And here's the thing: you cannot have a million-dollar coaching business if you are thinking Zero Dollar Thoughts.

I'm not saying that you can sit around and think happy thoughts all day and expect to see results. What I am saying is that, when you have the right mindset, it will inspire you to take bold action steps that will save you time and get you, clients, with ease.

When you are getting started (or looking to scale) as a coach, you will need to up-level your thinking before you start seeing new results. You cannot grow a business unless you grow the leader running it.

If you don't have the income you want in your coaching business, it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you. It just means you have some unexamined thoughts to look at.

In this episode, I'm going to spare your years of struggle by revealing to you the thoughts that will produce no money for your business, and the Million Dollar Thoughts that will bring you the income you deserve.

Many people have the desire for a better life but struggle to create it. That's because desire alone gets you nowhere.

Desire is a passive experience. It requires no effort, energy, or action to desire something.

And, desiring something does not entitle you to have it. On the other hand, commitment requires action. Commitment may be uncomfortable, but it is required if you want to achieve anything worthwhile in life.

The reason most people fail is not because of a lack of time, money, skill, or energy. It's due to a lack of commitment.

This is important to know because life does not give us what we want. It gives us what we are most committed to.

In this episode, I break down how to go from living a life of desire to a life of commitment.

You have thousands of coaching clients that exist in this world right now. Even if you haven't launched your business yet. They already exist. And they're ready to pay you.

When I got started as a coach, I thought it would be impossible to stand out and get clients because there were "too many" coaches already out there. I didn't think I added anything new or valuable to the industry.

But then one day, when a client hired me, she said "I have been looking for a coach like YOU for SO LONG." It made me realize something so profound that I now share it with our coaches in the Academy.

Right now, there are people in the world who desire you. They are looking for YOUR FLAVOR to life. They want to be in your energy. And no one else can replicate that. All you need to do is show up and let them know that you've arrived.

Here's another way to understand this: Think about a musician you love. Before that musician became known, you were ALREADY a fan of them. You were already wanting them. Then, they made themselves known, and you thought, "YES! This is the music I've been wanting. I’ve been LOOKING FOR YOU." Were there other famous musicians BEFORE the one you mentioned? Yes!

You don’t have to be the first to be successful. You just need to be THE NEXT. If you question whether there is space in this world for your coaching, your art or your voice, realize there is a hidden community of raving fans you already have that are waiting to hear your message right now. They already exist. You just need to let them know that YOU exist.

Goals can be deceiving. On the surface, a goal is typically thought to be something you want to achieve or do. But what if that's actually not what really matters?

When someone sets a goal, they will often come up with a plan to achieve that goal. The plan doesn't work, and the person is left frustrated and disappointed. The bigger the goal, the more plans you will have that will fail.

The key to experiencing joy and freedom in your life is not through achieving goals. It's through learning to appreciate the pursuit of our goals. You can be committed to your goals and be detached on how you get there at the same time.

It's easy to understand but difficult to master. In this episode, we explore how to identify Goals Behind Goals so you get to the essence of how someone can get the most out of life.

How important is it for you to do things in life that feel "authentic"? As someone who values authenticity, I found it very challenging to start a coaching business because nothing felt authentic.

It didn't feel authentic to talk about myself.

It didn't feel authentic to make money while having fun.

It didn't feel authentic to lead others.

I thought maybe something was wrong and I should pursue something that felt more authentic or aligned. But what I realized is that my entire idea of authenticity was false.

You know what feels authentic in life? Everything we've already done. But doing things you already done is just going to continue giving you what you already have. But doing the same behaviors is not keeping you authentic, it's keeping you small.

Transforming your live requires you look at yourself and challenge who you THINK you are to become who you are MEANT to BE. Real authenticity is about embracing opportunities that allow you to share your voice, your message and your gifts.

In this episode, I break down the concept of False Authenticity and how to truly show up in the world as fully you.

Whenever you consider taking your life from good to great, it may be common to think:

  • "But things are already good... why change it?"
  • "I should just be grateful what for what I have."
  • "Don't change anything or you might lose it all."

These thoughts are all a sign of toleration. Toleration is like a glue that keeps us stuck in a life of complacency.

When we release our attachment to toleration, we allow our lives to go from good to great..

Many people invest a lot of energy into tolerating people, careers and situations that drain them. All the energy used to tolerate the mediocre can be used to create the magnificent.

In this episode, you will learn how to spot the signs you (and your clients) are tolerating things in your life, and what to do about it.

What if it were possible for you to sell your coaching for thousands of dollars? One of our philosophies we teach our students: be premium.

If you’re the cheapest coach, nobody expects you to be the best, and if you’re the best coach, nobody expects you to be the cheapest.

Premium coaches charge high-value, high-ticket programs. But being a premium coach is about much more than just charging more. It's about creating a space for your clients to experience the biggest transformations of their life. You get to serve people on the deepest level when you charge a premium.

Premium coaches attract premium clients. Premium clients are great to work with because they are committed to doing the work and getting great results in their life.

Many people are born coaches without even realizing it. People are often unaware of what it really takes to be successful as a coach, and people question if they have the potential to do well in this career.

When people hear about leadership coaching, life coaching, or business coaching for the first time, they think that the signs you will successful are if you have a lot of life experience, a large following, and charismatic, high energy personality.

The truth is that none of those elements matter. When I started life coaching in early 20's, I had little life experience. I did not have a large following or network. I was (and still am) introverted and shied away from the spotlight. Most people who become coaches realize that, in all their previous careers, something hasn't quite stuck.

When they finally discover coaching, they realize it's the exact thing they've been looking for. Coaching takes all the things they've loved about all their jobs and puts it all together, while also eliminating all the things they didn't like. In this episode, I take my research from training over 1,000 coaches to reveal the five signs you are born to be a coach.

Before I became a coach, I would hear about successful coaches and envy them. I thought they were so lucky. It aggravated me that they had a life that I most wanted. But then I realized that their life is just as attainable for me as it is to them. I have the opportunity to design a life I love.

Instead of being jealous of these coaches, I decided to be inspired by them. I let that guide me towards creating a life on my terms. After running a life coaching business for seven years, I have designed a life I truly enjoy living. I work when I want, take vacations often and still have the opportunity to make an impact on people's lives.

There are two big reasons why people become coaches. One is the impact of the work. You get to make a tremendous difference in people's lives doing highly rewarding work. The second reason is the freedom this career offers anyone who chooses it. Your own "day in the life" can look however you want it to look. If you could design your life without any limitation, how would you design it?

Many people have the assumption that all "pressure" we feel is bad. But what if pressure is one of the most important ingredients to guarantee your success?

Not all pressure is created equal. Negative Pressure is when you are being pushed to do something against your will. Positive Pressure is when you are being pushed to do things aligned with your goals.

Positive Pressure inspires you to show up to your goals in dreams more than ever before. It nudges you to become the person you want to become.

Whenever we think about going after our dreams, our brain will normally respond with fear. This fear can be sneaky at times. Fear often makes itself look like the "rational and responsible" approach to take.

Whenever you start to imagine a better life, there will be a push-and-pull between maintaining your current life and going after the life we want to have. You may start imagining how amazing life could be, but then you get tugged down to "reality." Your brain will tell you why you should stop and why you should wait. This experience is normal, but it is not a reason to let your dreams go on pause.

Life will always give you reasons to hold off, wait, and stay exactly where you are. You will never feel "ready." But one of the most important keys to success is to start BEFORE you feel ready.

There comes a point where you need to put your LIFE on PAUSE and your VISION on PLAY. This means making decisions for the life you WANT, rather than the life you HAVE.

In this episode, I share what Vision Force and how it can be applied to take you and your clients’ lives to the next level, even when you think you aren’t ready or prepared for change.

There is a fine line between coaching and coddling. One question to assess yourself is: How comfortable are you with your client's discomfort?

As coaches, we must be OK with our clients being in pain. Coaching is a messy, painful process. That's what makes it so transformational.

You are not coaching to get your client's approval. And, you are NOT coaching to make your client feel good.

This doesn't mean you have to be a mean drill sergeant to your client. But it does mean you have to be firm, direct, curious and willing to challenge your client's thinking.

When you stop coddling and start coaching, your clients actually get better results. They will respect you. You will bring out the BEST version of them. In this episode, I show you how to get it done.

What do you say if your client asks you to tell them what to do? Do you give them answers?

"How Drama" is when your clients demand that you tell them how to solve their own problems. They want you to give them solutions, strategies and ideas. It may feel useful and necessary to give your clients the "how", but doing so does more harm than good.

Notice the part of you that wants to give your clients answers: Are you trying to rescue your clients because you don't see them as capable? Are you wanting to please your clients because you don't want to hurt their feelings? This leads to a messy coaching relationship.

The best way to help your client is to help them build their self-trust. You must believe in your clients so hard and coach them to create their own "how". This will be a messy process because most people are used to searching for the answers outside of themselves.

But the beauty of your client creating their own "how" is they start seeing how capable they've always been.

This episode reveals how to empower your clients to access their answers from within.

What is life coaching? Can people really get paid well to coach others? What does it take to succeed in this career?

I discovered coaching after years of living at the effect of my anxieties and insecurities. I was also tens of thousands of dollars in debt.

All of the signs in my life pointed me to pursue coaching. It started to feel like my calling.

In the process of becoming a coach, I overcame all of the self-doubts that had weighed me down throughout my entire life.

I made $300k within my first two years without having a large following or paid advertising. All before turning 30 years old.

A lot of people think starting a coaching business is complicated, but it is actually quite simple.

Coaches have the opportunities to work on their own terms and make a huge contribution to the world.

This episode reveals how I discovered coaching and got started.
