Presentamos música de una de las figuras más importantes del rock & roll, con una de las carretas más exitosas y reconocidas. Originario de Vernon, Texas, donde el lema es "Dirige nuestro camino", la misma plegaria que cientos de músicos, desde aficionados hasta emblemáticos, han dicho a nombre de esta figura. Bastaría con decir "Pretty Woman" para que el nombre Roy Orbison venga a la mente y sin embargo ésta no es la única canción por la que vale la pena recordar a esta gran figura. En su repertorio también se encuentran "Crying", "In Dreams", "Only the Lonely" y "Running Sacred" por mencionar algunas. No paró de hacer música hasta el final de sus días y gracias a esta vitalidad imparable, en 1988, su último año de vida, se cambió el nombre a Lefty y armó un grupo con el resto de sus hermanos los Traveling Wilburys. Su capacidad para tomar elementos de distintos estilos de música popular e integrarlos en composiciones originales, llevaron a que Roy Orbison fuera apodado "el Caruso del Rock". Eugene Vincent (1935 - 1971) volteado a Gene Vincent fue uno de pioneros más conocidos del rock & roll. Su éxito de 1956, "Be-Bop-A-Lula" es una de las primeras canciones de rockabilly. La canción lo llevó a ser comparado y puesto al nivel del rey, Elvis Presley. Las influencias para su sonido provienen del country, el rhythm and blues y la música gospel, que llegó a escuchar en su natal Norfolk Virgina.

Ellas McDaniel, nacido Ellas Otha Bates, mejor conocido como Bo Diddley nació el 30 de diciembre de 1928 en McComb, Mississippi. Inspirado después de escuchar tocar a John Lee Hooker, Diddley decidió complementar sus ingresos como mecánico y carpintero tocando en las calles de McComb, su amigo Jerome Green lo acompañaría desde momento hasta llegar a convertirse en un miembro regular de la banda durante sus presentaciones en vivo años más adelante. A pesar de haber practicado con el violín y trombón durante su infancia y hasta tener 18 años, el interés de Diddley acabaría por ser por la guitarra, influido por los ritmos musicales que escuchaba en la iglesia Pentecostal de su ciudad.

Jerry Lee Lewis alcanzó la fama en 1957 con su éxito "Whole Lotta Shakin". Durante su juventud tuvo presentaciones memorables como cuando decidió usar gasolina para prender en fuego su piano al finalizar un concierto. Era difícil que las bandas siguientes a su presentación, pudiesen igual lo que así en el escenario. Fue la primera persona en entrar al Salón de la fama del Rock & Roll en 1986.
Eddie Cochran (1938-1960) a pesar de su breve carrera es considerado unas de las figuras más importantes del Rock & Roll, entre sus canciones más populares se encuentran "Summertime Blues", "Twenty Flight Rock" y "C'mon Everybody". Sus canciones han influido en músicas tan importantes y diversos como Paul McCartney, Sid Vicious, David Bowie, Pete Townshend y Marc Bolan.

Richard Wayne Penniman, mejor conocido como Little Richard es uno de las figuras más populares de la música. Su carrera empezó cuando en Octubre de 1947, Sister Rosetta Tharpe escuchara a Penniman de entonces 14 años cantar en el auditorio de Macon, Georgia, Sister Rosetta lo invitaría a que fuera su telonero, lo que impulsaría a Richard a perseguir una carrera profesional como músico.
