Check out our latest episode of The Service Coordinator Podcast 🎙️ where we talk to Rosemary Mathis and Jerrie O'Rourke of National Church Residences about a program helping Seniors stay in their homes on the East Side of Columbus, OH.

Since 2019 National Church Residences has served as a Benefits Enrollment Center (BEC) for central Ohio. This program has been made possible via a grant provided by the National Council on Aging’s Center(NCOA).

According to NCOA, 1 in 3 older adults is economically insecure. We know that millions of vulnerable seniors and adults with disabilities qualify yet they are unaware of the benefits for which they are eligible. The goal of the BEC program is to promote lasting transformations to the ways in which seniors and adults living with disabilities are assisted with enrolling in and retaining their benefits. This program has already assisted over 600 clients with applications and re-certifications.

The BEC has received a second grant and is now aiming to assist at least another 500 individuals by September 30, 2021. Your help is needed to reach that goal!

If you know a central Ohio senior who could benefit from assistance applying for (or recertification for) benefits such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Section 8 Housing/Voucher Program, SNAP, rental applications and any many more, call Rosemary Mathes, at 614-457-6950 or via email BEC at benefits4u@nationalchurchresidences.org
