The Cargo Shorts Boys Podcast: Recent Episodes

The Cargo Shorts Boys

This show was created by a group of friends who bonded after promising to go to homecoming in cargo shorts. After breaking our promise almost immediately, we grew closer and closer until it became hard to imagine one of us without the others. We’re just five dudes from the South Denver area trying their best to fight off boredom in quarantine by entertaining ourselves with creating jingles, spouting ridiculous opinions, debating things that have absolutely no significance, reviewing things that you didn’t know needed reviews, and much, much more!

We’ve got a Debate on the quality of cantaloupe, a Script Read-Off, and a wonderful little This Week in The News. In addition, a sibling makes a guest appearance on the pod, Luke is good at making lists, and Jack is on the run again. Prepare your hearts and minds. It’s the Carrrrrr Gooooooo Shooorrrrrtts Booyyyyyys Podcaaaaast!

For the first time in the Cargo Shorts Boys Podcast history, all the boys are recording from the same room! To celebrate, we’re bringing back This Week In The News, along with the globe-trotting, controversial, and eagle-eyed Jack Casper! We argue over the role of exotic fruits in regards to classic Italian dishes, and throw in a whole new segment just for kicks. Mix that with a little fashion advice, impromptu milk reviews, and trade offers involving human muscles, and you’ve got an instant classic! We’re back from our Memorial Break with an all new classic episode of the pod! We’ve got a debate over which letter of the alphabet is best (spoiler alert: it definitely isn’t B). We also have This Week in The News and a new segment that you really have to hear the jingle for to understand. We also discuss J-Biebs in today’s Music Theory, and sprinkle in random talk about otters, Albert Einstein’s cousin, and Hitler’s exotic animals. So pretty much your average normal everyday podcast. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, James Corden’s agent has filed a restraining order on us so we got the next best James C. in the business: James Caustrita! This week James joins us as we talk about what is going on in the news right now, celebrate National Devil’s Food Cake Day with a future Billboard Hot 100 hit, review the most hype song in the movie CATS involving railways and tap dancing, and tell the legendary ballad of Shotgun Sam. If you would like to vote on who recounted this story the best, feel free to get in contact with us!

What a time to be alive! This week we announce the winner of our prom king debate, give the best life hacks for finals that we have accumulated over their years as distinguished scholars, debate which method of wiping is acceptable, do another one of our beloved Cats Reviews, and talk about Rob Riggle a whole freaking lot!

This one is a doozie. With the absence of Jack, Joey tries his hand at hot takes. We furiously debate which podcast member should be crowned prom king, now that prom has been delayed. Finally, we give a not at all controversial ranking of our favorite Star Wars movies, in honor of our recording on Star Wars day (May the Fourth be with you). Plus, “This Week in the News,” lots of witty banter, and an explanation for why Jack isn’t here. Make sure to contact us and vote for prom king!

This is the best audio podcast you will ever hear. Period. We do “This Week in the News.” Jack has another medicine themed hot take. We try our hand at music analysis and dive deep into the true events of Joe Jonas‘ childhood. And we tell the story of the most important day in history, at least to Joey. All while looking fantastic and sounding even better. Get ready.

On this episode, Jack has a hot take nobody relates to, but we refute him on it anyways. The guys also review and debate the merits of two different writing utensils. We also debut our most seductive original pickup lines. We’ve also got a CATS review, “This Week in the News,” and lots of laughs (or lols for all you kids out there). Enjoy!

In this first-ever episode, we meet the guys, begin the recurring “This Week in the News” segment, Jack has some hot takes regarding the flavor of medicine, the CSBs review the first song off of the Cats soundtrack, and we are forced to debate the fighting qualities of both Siberian tigers and grizzly bears. We can’t wait to keep recording in the future!
