They say those who can't do, teach, in Politics, those who can't do, start a podcast. Welcome to The Failed Politician. This podcast is designed to represent the people and will only work if, as a community we use our collective influence to bring politicians and people of influence to account. I promise to give everyone a fair and equal chance to express their opinions and push their agendas. All I ask in return is that they are prepared to back up their claims. Together, let's Cut the Cr*p!
We are failing our Doctors and Nurses! I explore the REAL impact the lack of PPE, ests and support are having on our front line staff and make a plea for help to anyone and everyone to get those in charge to actually help our amazing NHS staff!
Too many questions unanswered and too many things being taken for granted.
In this episode I look at the stories that frontline staff have sent to me along with a survey of the largest medical group in the NHS the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA).
Help me to Cut the Crap!
In this episode, I look at the problems within the NHS, specifically around PPE. Using letters uncovered from the head of the NHS and leading figures within our most famed institution I try to highlight how flaws within the NHS have been exposed to a devastating level. Also testimony from frontline staff explaining the difficulties fist hand.
Politicians will have to answer for a lot after this stage of the pandemic but those who are paid to support the frontline staff of the NHS have failed them and I explain how!
Amelia was not in the mood for an interview but she does make a small cameo at the end, see if you can spot her!
After hearing Prime Minister Boris Johnson was moved to Intensive Care, it has become clear that even our media do not understand how our political system works and it has created ridiculous hypothetical scenarios.
Here, I use my knowledge and research to explain the basics and why this current situation is completely catered for and why our Government and political system are operating as normal.
If we understand this then sensationalist headline grabbing can stop and we can get back to asking serious questions on the most unprecedented global crisis in living memory.
I'm sorry this is a bit "Back to School" but it felt important to me to put something out there that might help us get a better understanding.
This is not what I wanted The Failed Politician to be about, but in these times, I figured this might help even a few.
Oh and Amelia will also give her thoughts at the end so stay tuned,
To combat lock-down at home with a 4 year old and 10 month old daughter, we have chronicled the 1st week by sitting down with our 4 year old Amelia and talking about what we have been up to and her understanding of what is happening.
We finish with Clap for the NHS which had incredibly moving results.
I apologise for my wife's laugh and our 10 month old Olivia's interventions.
