And just like that, Canada are Olympic gold medal champions.
Wow. Just ... wow. It's not like us to have trouble finding words, and yet.
This episode was tough for us to do justice. Beating the USA for the first time in 20 years. Winning Olympic gold in a nerve-wracking and challenging final. Our final episode. These are all such Big Deals for us. But, like always, we we sat down and started talking about what we love—the Canadian women's national team.
We admit, it feels like absolute poetry we had the privilege of ending on this glorious high note. In this episode, we talk about:

After coming second in Group E following a draw with Great Britain, Canada opposed Brazil in the quarter-finals and will advance to the semi-finals following a dramatic win in penalty kicks.
In this episode we talk about the matches vs. Great Britain and Brazil in an attempt to process all our emotions. We also talk about our upcoming semi-final match vs. USA and Canada's chances to take a medal in the finals.

So far Canada is sitting second in Group E after two matches against Japan and Chile as the 2021 Olympics got started in Tokyo this last week.
In this episode, we discuss both matches, including the starting XI and substitutes, what we liked, what we didn't like, and all the dramatics that come along with an Olympics soccer tournament.

Another NWSL season came to a close this weekend as the Washington Spirit and Western New York Flash toughed it out for the title of 2016 NWSL Champion. There's a lot to talk about so this episode is devoted to the epic NWSL semi-finals and final.
We also feature an interview with Canadian Olympics bronze medalist and Washington Spirit defender Shelina Zadorsky. Shelina proved herself to be an anchor for the Spirit's back line this season and was recognized for her contribution by being named the Spirit's Newcomer of the Year. She's made 22 appearances with the Canadian National team since her debut in January 2013 and was an integral part of Canada's bronze medal win at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
