Why are relationships such a big deal? We can't live with em, can't live without em. What do we do?
For the judges series we do not have recordings of the scripture reading, the text for this sermon is Judges 1
when will the sad things in life? when will the sad things in our past stop haunting us?
This quarter we are addressing the common questions that seem to keep coming up over and over again.
We continue to look at the ceremonies and offerings of Leviticus to see what God is teaching us about himself.
Way more discussion than you ever wanted on Dating. What does the Bible say? not much. Can we glean wisdom? Absolutely!
We look at Psalm 96 and see that one aspect of worship is that it causes others to get caught up in it.
This is the hardest question we ask of God. He doesn't shy away from it, in fact he teaches us how to ask it in Psalm 22.
This week we look at friendship. We live in a world in which we seem to increasingly not know how to relate or have deep meaningful friendships. The Bible give us a step back into healthy friendships
We look at the bible to talk about. What is it? What does it look like? Does it have to do with our bodies?
Can we have them? How can we have them? How can we talk about them? What does Jesus have to say?
In our last look at the life of Abraham we see the centrality and importance of this one fact: the Lord provides.
God shows Abraham the security of his covenant love and the importance of constantly living in it.
Can we wait? Why we can't? What is faith? What do we do about it? How does God respond?
We look at this passage and see how Abram becomes a man of great faith. We apologize for the sound quality on this particular recording.
Our problems are worse than we wanna admit, God's faithfulness is better than we can imagine.
We know Jesus died for our sins, but he also did something else, equally as important and necessary for our salvation. Do you know what it is?
We are all angry, we dont want to admit it. It's hard to deal with. Proverbs offers us wisdom on the issue of anger.
What does Proverbs have to say about sex? Well it has some warnings, but it kinda also thinks sex is awesome.
We take a look at Proverbs and see what it has to say about work, what it means, how we should think about it, and engage it.
We survey the book of Proverbs to examine what it says about how we speak and how we change the way we speak.
We rarely consider how powerful the words spoken to us are. This week we consider the wisdom in the act of listening.

Friendship is one of the sweetest things when it is experienced. However in our disconnected world it seems it is harder and harder to find. We consider how you get it and what it looks like.
We look further at what it means and what it looks like to make Christ known to the world
Evangelism.....eeeerrggggsssh. Just the word makes many people uncomfortable. We look at Acts 8 and try to take a sobering look at Evangelism
Here we read in the story of Ananias and Saphira and learn about what God thinks of those who actively seek to deceive him.
We look at the fallout from the first miracle in Acts and see why the Resurrection upsets the people in power.
We look again at the passage in Acts describing the life of the church and try to look into the hearts of those present.
When evangelism happens in Acts, church breaks out. In this passage Luke gives us a picture of what the early Christian community looked like.
We look at the event commonly referred to as Pentecost and see what God's plan is for this thing called the church and how the Holy Spirit is instrumental in it.
The book called "Acts of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit thru the Church" or "Acts" as it often referred to gives us a picture of the mission of God's people.

We look at the sign of circumcision and see that salvation is all of grace from beginning to end.
We look at Abraham's struggle to trust God and what he teaches us about disappointment.
We look at Genesis 15 and see how God responds to Abram's fear that things wont work out.
We look at one of Abram's better moments to see what strong faith is and how to have it.
We look at out favorite childhood story, Noah's Ark, and see that perhaps a better title should be God's mercy.
In the Creation account we see that God not only created and ordered the world but gave it a rhythm.
We look at Genesis and ask the most fundamentally important question every person should ask: "Why is there something and not nothing?"
When we hear the word "Evangelism" we all get a little nervous. In the context of Paul's letter to the Colossians, we see that evangelism might be the most natural thing we do.
In this passage we see how the gospel shapes our most fundamental daily relationships, those of family and work.
In Christ, Paul calls the church to put to death, to put off the things that no longer are befitting.
Paul addresses the tendency to take scripture and build a man-centered, man-measured, man-glorifying religion and he points us back to Christ.
We often think we are saved by grace but live by works. Paul corrects our thinking here and explains that in fact we also live by grace.
Paul reflects on his own ministry and gives us insight into the task of the shepherds God has set over his people.
In the passage commonly called the "Christ Hymn" Paul explains to us how Jesus is creator, sustainer and savior of the world and it is all for His glory.
What is God's will for my life? This question that plagues us all is dealt with very directly in Paul's prayer for the church at Colossae.
We begin looking at Paul's letter to the church at Colossea and explore how change takes place in our lives?
The Bible doesnt say anything about dating....specifically. But is there anything we can learn from how it talks about relationships that informs our dating thoughts and practices?
Is the Gospel big enough to trust in our relationships or are we gonna relate most out of fear?
How does God fix the way we have messed up sexuality. (And lets not pretend we arent all sexually broken.)
Our relationships are messed up and in the book of Hosea we see how marriage may just be the Gospel, the manner in which God fixes relationships.
Jesus said "unless you repent, you will likewise perish" so repentance kinda seems to be a big deal, but we dont think about it too often. In Joel we learn a little bit about what repentance looks like.
