Afrikan Womxn’s Consciousness in The Changing World: Recent Episodes

Nourah Yonous

Based on my own inner-work: my soul liberation—unlearning and experiences as a colonial product/immigrant; an Afrikan Womxn who come from Womxn before me; I wrote a book, Un-Learning Patriarchal Bondage: The World Through The Lens Of An Afrikan Womxn, to be launched Winter 2021. It is through this evolving-process I found my own grounding and felt the need to dig deeper/connect my healing process with my greater-global community at large, on the importance of QUESTIONING and raising the VOICE of Afrikan Womxn. This podcast will explore Afrikan Woman’s voice and agency in “post-colonial world.”

“Afrikan Womxn’s Consciousness in the Changing World: #DecolonizePraxis; further challenge and question racial construct via Person of Color- (system based shaped) narrative. Being a Womxn in the patriarchal world has been terribly exhausting in the last 33yrs; but being a Womxn of color in America? Emotionally taxing and close to crippling, if you don’t self-assess: 🦋🦋🦋🦋#UnlearningPatriarchalBondage 📚. In this episode, I speak from soul evolving-journey that also calls for authentic solidarity among human “race..”, the constructed races struggling in careful/ drawn geo political border- boundaries and national-flag worshiping? But deep down- we are collectively searching for meaning and #Oneness? There’s Power in the #Love and Solidarity NOT shaped by religion, sexuality, race, gender, and all the shallow boxes we were forced to fit in—and navigate the world? How are we suppose to fully belong with #MotherEarth—with our majestic selves and bold existence wrapped in fear of the constructed “other”? I resist by saying I’m NOT Anyone’s Womxn Of Color. I’m That which Sees Light in All of Us-I am that which reflects my inner: Womxn of Color is NOT It for me—-because WOC box limits who I am, can be, in relation to all of us. This episode is also part of @AfricanWomenBusinessAlliance #SisterhoodandEconomy many series to be launched on my upcoming professional YouTube! Finally! 🦋🧘🏾‍♀️🙏🏾 #holisticapproachtobusinessdevelopment - #buildinginclusivecultureforinclusiveeconomy #afrikanwombeconomy🤱🏾 #womeninbusiness “

Here’s a little something about me: I don’t fold for shallow-patriarchal power and culture or misogyny; even when it’s internalized by fellow Womxn who expect other Womxn to fold and sacrifice themselves. In this episode, I speak candidly to young Womxn in #entrepreneurship and encourage anyone to instill better boundaries in their lives, businesses, and practices as a whole: Because #Patriarchy is/will be very much alive by the time we have great-grandkids as well... #Boundaries #AfrikanWomxnConsciousness #UnLearningPatriarchalBondage

It’s Time We Question Ourselves: Afrika is NOT a Western Episteme. She’s NOT, and shouldn’t be judged from a Western/Colonial Project: She belongs deeply to herself: She’s Going to always disappoint you if you don’t take the time to study her from her own literature and lived experience.. #AfrikanWomxnConsciousness

May you know yourself better—to know why you are on earth/soul entrepreneur. May you find strength to stick with yourself during these challenging times: A lot of people aren’t rooted in stillness and are building from fear based -survival mentality. < if you are in this environment, get out and protect your energy.

Most adults speak of 2020 from a very shallow and fear based approach? Maybe? Is it fair to say Kids and perhaps our dogs may differ? I heard my child talk to his dad + his friends about 2020 and it’s beautiful what we learn from our little giant heart (s), massive soul (s) and brilliant mind (s) we birth and have the privilege and honor of raising. I’m in awe and in gratitude for my champ, Abdel’Razak. My student and my teacher. #Motherhood #BreatheBridgeBloom 🌸
