I have always loved this song and admired the strength and abstract nature of Grace Slick (The lead singer of Jefferson Airplane). Please like, share, comment and download the song! I hope you enjoy it.
About the original song by Jefferson Airplane Grace Slick said the composition was supposed to be a slap to parents who read their children such novels (Alice in Wonderland)and then wondered why their children later used drugs. She later commented that all fairytales read to little girls have a Prince Charming who comes and saves them. But Alice did not; she was on her own in a very strange place, but she kept on going and followed her curiosity – "that's the White Rabbit". A lot of women could have taken a message from that story about how you can push your own agenda. The line "feed your head" is about reading, as well as psychedelics feed your head by paying attention: read some books, pay attention.
Rage Against the Machine were not allowed on the stage to perform and proceeded to sing songs with the crowd with a megaphone in the parking lot. That inspired me to update this remix and I hope you share and enjoy it! Free Download!
The first release of the EP is a cover of Black Sabbath's Sweet Leaf with a Dubstep facelift. Combining the screechy Ozzy Osborne vocals with heavy guitars and drops isn't all though, Cheech and Chong make an appearance to complete the ganja theme! Download, share and enjoy!
This was quite a departure for me a few years back. I remember pulling out my Acoustic Guitar and abandoning a ton of ideas for this remix that would of most likely been electronic and sticking to a super basic feel. Fooze Co. ft. Rage Against the Machine Killing in the Name - Activate the Movement Remix
The inspiration for this track was a video of Rage Against the Machine performing without instruments with a crowd and a megaphone (after being shut down by the local Police).
That audio is featured in the intro and end of the Activate the Movement Remix.
Also included are audio clips from 2Pac speaking of the inequality in the world as well as an interview with a Hollywood Hit Man who infects celebrities with a drug that alters their behavior and leads to eventual death.
The song is a concept project, bringing light to corruption and injustices in our world set to one of my favorite bands of all time. Dubstep/Ska is true to my heart.
