A panel discussion on the issues of responsible and sustainable mining. As most industries worldwide are striving to improve ESG metrics in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the mining industry is having to face a few difficult questions on the issues of sustainability and environmental performance. This presentation was given at Arab African Mining ⚒ by Chris Bargmann. Chris is the founder of Sodor Geosciences and is an expert on the ANS having worked on projects in Sudan and Saudi Arabia. He discusses the type of mineral deposits found on the ANS.

The Arabian Nubian Shield Presentation was given by David Hall, CEO of Thani Stratex Resources Limited at Arab African Mining 2019.
The Arabian Nubian Shield covers a large area and spans over 12 countries in Africa and the Middle East. The ANS is a Precambrian shield comprising oceanic and island arc related volcano-sedimentary sequences, 870 Ma–550 Ma in age. It is comparable in size to the Canadian and Australian Precambrian shield areas.
