A podcast about wellness, finding fulfillment, and confidence. Become your most vibrant self.
Hosted by Melanie Maxwell of Body Confident Coaching and Vibrant Mompreneurs.
This was one of my favourite conversations on the podcast ever.
In this episode, we’re talking about getting back to exercise after birth. It’s everything I wish I knew— it would’ve prevented my year-long burnout. We cover: how to know when you’re ready to return to exercise, how to do so safely, and exercising with positive intentions.

This episode is for the mamas! Today we are talking about teaching our kids, daughters especially, how to cultivate healthy and positive friendships.
I loved this conversation because I’m a mama of 2 girls and as we were talking I was taking so many mental notes— there is so much I had never thought about before when it comes to teaching my kids how to have healthy friendships, especially since my kids are growing up with social media.
If you’ve got young kids, you’ll want to listen to this one with a notepad out!

This is a good one! Today we are talking about tapping into pleasure.
As women, we’ve been conditioned to feel uncomfortable or wrong for wanting pleasure even though it’s a natural part of being a human!
In this episode, we’re talking about what pleasure is and why it matters, how pleasure affects our lives holistically (it’s not just about sex), and my favourite gem that our guest gives us: pleasure as a way to increase your resilience.

I loved this conversation about habits and time management with our guest, Lindsay Burns.
Lindsay teaches us techniques to manage our time and make habit changes without ending up in this cycle of total overhaul, giving up, and starting all over again. She’s teaching us how to create lasting sustainable habit change and manage our time in a way that aligns with our values. If you’re someone who has tried over and over again to change your habits, or you feel too busy or tired to even think about making changes, this is the episode for you.

I had SO much fun recording this episode— you are going to love it! It’s also a conversation that’s a bit unexpected: today we are talking about creativity as the key to unlocking your potential and finding fulfillment. Wait! If you just thought to yourself “well I’m not creative”, or “oh, I don’t need that”, then this episode is especially for you. Our guest Natalie Davison is going to totally change the way you think of “creativity” and help you use it to become the biggest most authentic version of yourself. And it’s not all just good feelings and fulfillment that you’ll get, tapping into creativity will help you do your best work in the world. Shownotes: becomingvibrantpodcast.com
I’m super excited to have dietitian Jillian Reid on the podcast today! I’m lucky to have collaborated several times with Jill by teaching webinars together to help women learn to have healthy relationships with food and their bodies.
In this episode, we talk about the red flags that indicate your “healthy lifestyle change” is actually a diet, what it looks like to repair your relationship with food, and how to talk about healthy eating with kids.

Hey tired and stressed mama! If the phrase “finding balance” makes you cringe and feels impossible, this one’s for you.
Today we are talking about balance for millennial moms and our guest is helping us totally shift our perspective on what it means to find balance. It does not mean doing it all!
I had so many “aha” moments during this chat and I know you’ll love it too. You’ll know what balance actually means and what first steps to take, even if life feels overwhelming and busy right now.
Our guest today is Dr. Amber Thornton.

This conversation with Anna Lovind is everything you need to know when you’re starting a business. We talk about what keeps new biz owners super stuck: that “getting ready” phase and how to start making real forward motion.
We also talk about a fear of failure and perfectionism and how to conquer them so you can get yourself out there— even if it feels a bit scary.

This conversation on the podcast is SO GOOD. I think it’s what a lot of us need after being home with our partners a LOT more than usual in the past year or so. Today we are talking about reconnecting with pleasure and communicating our desires to a partner.
In this episode, I’m chatting with sex coach Natasha Chentille. I loved this conversation because she reminds us that having an intimate relationship with a partner begins with the relationship we have with ourselves. YES. It always comes down to self-love doesn’t it? If that feels tricky for you, don’t worry. Natasha gives us tips for working on our relationship with ourselves so we can have a healthy relationship with others.

This one’s for the mamas! Today we are talking about baby mama bodies. There is so much pressure on new moms to “get your pre-baby body back” and our guest on today’s episode is here to help!
I really loved this conversation with Jenn Green. We talked about how to learn to accept your post-baby body and resist the pressure to have a body that looks like it never carried a baby. We also talk about how to take care of your body in a loving way instead. Accepting your body is not the same as neglecting your health. We talk about how to move your body in a way that promotes health and feels good to you.

Today we are talking about financial wellness and generational wealth, especially for women who are building their own businesses. We’re talking about emergency funds, investments, insurance, budgets— you know, all that stuff that we wanna ignore unless it becomes urgent (I’m saying we because I’m definitely including myself in that!) This was such a good episode, I was taking down notes and felt equipped and inspired to make my own financial game plan. If figuring all of this out has been overwhelming so far and something you avoid, you’ll love this episode. Our guest, Amber Brown, helps us understand all of the important pieces to a financial plan, as well as where to start. Shownotes: becomingvibrantpodcast.com
TW: violence and trauma.
I love this episode because our guest not only has a super inspiring story of overcoming trauma, but she also helps us see how the things blocking us from our growth and from achieving our dreams can be linked back to past emotional or traumatic experiences. If you’ve been caught in some self-sabotaging behaviours like binge eating, procrastination, or quitting before you finish something then you are going to want to listen to this episode!

I’m so excited to share this Becoming Vibrant story with you! In this season of the podcast, I’ve been having some guests who come on not to share their professional expertise, but to share their stories. When we hear the story of another person conquering challenges and following their dreams, it reminds us what is possible. Today we are hearing Robyn’s story. She became a mom at a young age but the entrepreneurial spirit was always a part of her so she kept going towards her dreams. We talk about the how to receive support (that can be hard, especially for women and mothers), and keeping in mind that the next generation of girls are watching us as motivation to keep going.

This episode is such fun one for the biz owners and those of you who are thinking of creating your own biz! I’m chatting with Brand Astrologist Leslie Tagorda about using our star power, in particular your sun, moon, and rising signs, to create a bold and magnetic business.
Chatting with Leslie gave me lots of clarity on who I am meant to serve and how to reach them through my messaging and she offers you tips and suggestions for leveraging your star power to do that too.

I've got some stuff to tell you.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did that sound like "we need to talk?" LOL I promise it's actually good news!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The podcast is not only my fav thing that I do (and yours too! from the looks of it) but it also encompasses all of what I have to offer and love to teach.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've been putting myself in a box.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The experts out there say "do one thing and serve one kind of person".⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But that's not me. I'm multifaceted and I want to help more than one kind of person. And if you know me, you know that once I feel like I'm in a box, I will get a fiery passion to burn it down (I didn't do well in retail LOL)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I also can't weight all of my many facets equally, so I am reprioritizing my focus. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm making some changes to do business MY way and in turn serve MORE of you:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. My main channel of content creation will be the podcast with new episodes once a week.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. The podcast is not just for mompreneurs, and you'll notice in future episodes that we are covering topics of wellness, fulfillment, and confidence with a less niched down lens.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. I'm available for 2 kinds of coaching: mompreneur confidence coaching at vibrantmompreneurs.com and body confidence coaching at bodyconfidentcoaching.co , with most of my energy being channeled into body confidence.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. The podcast has its own website now at becomingvibrantpodcast.com⠀⠀
Today we are talking about self-care and support for stepmoms! It’s a topic I hadn’t even thought about before, and that’s part of the issue here. Stepmoms don't get nearly enough support. When I came across our guest and learned about what she does, I was excited because this work is so needed.
I talk a lot about self-care for mamas on the podcast, with guests and just me, but I never thought about how stepmoms have a unique set of challenges they face and need support. Whether you are a stepmom or your kids have a stepmom or you know a stepmom, this episode is for you.

This is a Monday Motivational Mini. I create these MMM episodes to give you the support you need from a confidence coach (like me!) right in your pocket in less than 10 minutes for a quick pep talk to get you back on your feet.
This one is for when you are feeling nervous about going live. Here’s what I want you to know most of all: EVERYONE GETS NERVOUS. It does not mean that you are not good enough or that you are going to mess it up. Nervousness is a normal human feeling. Hit play on this episode to get you out of panic mode and into the best energy for showing up live.
This episode is for you if you’ve experience infant loss, preterm birth, miscarriage, birth trauma, or any difficulty in pregnancy, birth, or postpartum. It’s also for you if you are currently pregnant or trying to conceive and you’re experiencing high stress.
It’s also such a good one if you’re a human. This episode completely changed the way I understand stress and I use the information I learned from our guest all the time. The way most of us understand stress is just not scientifically accurate and it leads to us struggling to reduce stress in an effective way.
Our guest today is Parijat Deshpande. She is in the same business coaching group that I’m in, and I had seen her posts about her work and thought to myself “thank god she’s out there doing this work, it’s so needed!”— so of course I had to have her on the podcast!

This one is for when you are feeling burnt out. I have definitely been there and I know how brutal it can be. In this episode, I give you 3 things to dig deeper into so you can get your energy back.
This episode is the first of a new series I’m doing on the Becoming Vibrant podcast. We’re having guests on, not as experts in their field who give us tips and information, but as fellow mompreneurs with a story to tell.
Here’s why: as a mompreneur myself, I’ve experienced a hell of a journey to get to where I am. The thing is, I used to think it was just me, and that really struggling meant I wasn’t cut out for this.
This changed for me when I joined the business coaching group that I’m in that is around 1700 women entrepreneurs. In that group, women were posting their stories and their struggles openly and vulnerably and I started to feel so much less alone as I read through them. I realized that the journey can sometimes be really hard, but we can still build something amazing.
Today, we’re hearing Alison’s story. And I’ll tell you upfront that she had me crying more than once. My younger sister was born with special needs and this episode hit me right in the heart. Alison is the mama to a little boy named Carter who has special needs. She is also the creator of a program that helps students connect with others who might be different than themselves. She also helps empower nonprofits to make the world a better place. She’s an amazing badass mompreneur making a difference and I’m honoured to share her story with you.

In this episode, we are talking about celebrating ourselves! And it feels a bit funny to even say that. But this was one of the biggest things I worked on the whole year of 2020.
It doesn’t come naturally to me, and maybe it doesn’t for you either. It’s really common for ambitious and achiever types to forget to enjoy our small steps of success because we’re always looking ahead into the possibilities or what we want to accomplish next.
But taking the time to celebrate your small steps keeps you motivated and gives you momentum. Tune into this episode for action steps to take to help you practice celebrating yourself.

I freaking love this episode and I know you will too. At Vibrant Mompreneurs, operating from our mission is our number 1 priority. And our mission is shaped by intersectional feminism. If you resonate with the way our values are at the forefront, you’ll love this episode.
This is about doing business differently than it has been modelled for us in the past. I’m so grateful to have Meghan Corneal on the podcast to talk to us about leading with our values and integrating feminism into our businesses and lives. We hit it off and talked for another hour after the recording was over. There are a handful of guests that I could talk to for days and Meghan is definitely one of them. I know you’ll love her too!

This episode is something I wish I had before becoming a mama. Because I struggled so much through pregnancy and postpartum, including an emotionally traumatic birth and postpartum depression, I love having guests on to talk about maternal wellness.
Your wellbeing is the most important factor to your ability to show up fully to your business. Ask me how I know— I learned it the hard way. I started my business in the midst of horrible postpartum depression and learned quickly that the better I took care of myself, the more impactful I could be.
Today we’re talking with Celeste Ma’at who is a beautiful soul and a full spectrum doula. She teaches us about how a doula can support you through your whole motherhood journey, and how to reconnect with your body.

If this episode caught your eye, you’re probably tired! Or maybe you’re expecting a baby right now and preparing to be tired in the near future.
This episode is such a good one because with our guest today, certified sleep consultant Amanda Jewson, we cut through all the bullshit out there about baby sleep and get real about it. I realized after having two babies, and really suffering from the lack of sleep, that this is something not only I could have used help with, but lots of moms need help with. In our society, the focus is on baby, even when mama is really struggling. Amanda’s no BS approach prioritizes mama’s wellbeing and I love that because I wish I had known that it was okay to make sure that I was okay when my babies were really little.

We’re talking about self-honouring ways of showing up today.
Here’s why: lots of us starting out try to do ALL the social media and ALL the things. This is what we are taught to do. Show up on every social media platform and show up consistently and constantly. That can leave you feeling burned out or frustrated and it’s honestly a terrible use of your limited time and energy.
In this episode, we’re talking about what to do instead.

This one is an episode that I’m going to suggest to alllll my mama friends. This is exactly the conversation I wished I would’ve heard before I had my own babies. I’m so grateful to have had this conversation about matrescence with our guest Kelly Newsome Georges. Matrescence is essentially the birth of the mother. In our society, what happens to the mom after birth is not discussed nearly enough. I personally went through a full breakdown of who I thought I was and a total reawakening to who I am after I had not just my first baby but my second one too. I'm so excited for today's episode because podcasting is not only the best thing I've ever done in my business, it's also one of the best things I've decided to do in my life!
I truly love being a podcast host, and I know lots of you want to host your own podcast or show up more confidently on the podcast that you've already started. So today I'm giving you my best tips that I've learned in over a year of podcasting with over 50 episodes recorded.

Today we are talking about cultivating confidence— because here’s the thing: lots of the advice out there is like “just be confident!” and you’re left there asking “okay I’m trying but nothing is happening, how do I do that?”.
This is kind of a fun one because I recorded it a while back when I wasn’t fully stepping into confidence coaching yet. A little while after this, I realized how fired up I was about confidence and couldn’t care less about creating meal plans and telling people what to eat. The part I really cared about was the WHY. Why women struggle with food and body image issues. It all comes down to self-worth, which is the basis for confidence.
Anyway, I collaborated with today’s guest Rebecca Haydon again after this episode was recorded, as a confidence coach myself this time, and we just had a blast talking about confidence because we are on the same page, but we approach it from different angles. Rebecca is amazing at helping women change their behaviours and their limiting beliefs using NLP. If you want concrete advice on confidence-building, you’ll love this episode.

This was one of my favourite episodes on the podcast so far because we dive deep into the challenges of motherhood. We all want to be amazing moms for our children, but sometimes we feel like we aren’t measuring up. Especially as mompreneurs, we can feel like we are never doing it right because we are creating a business and an identity outside of being a mother. In this episode, conscious parenting expert Miki Maruko helps us redefine what a “good mother” really means, get rid of mom guilt, and learn how to help our little ones grow into happy, healthy adults. If you feel guilty or you don’t like the way you’ve been parenting, this one is for you.

Today we’re talking about anxiety.
We’re talking about what you can do if you struggle with anxiety and you try “all the things” and it seems like nothing is working. We are talking about reiki energy healing and mindfulness as complementary ways to soothe anxiety and improve your mental wellbeing.
This is a fun one because our guest Kyla Schmidt is a reiki practitioner and she did a reiki session on me the day before our recording and it felt amazing. Reiki is one of those things that
I was skeptical of, but I always keep an open mind so I’ve tried it before and I love it. If you’re skeptical about alternative healing modalities for anxiety, that’s totally okay, but why not give it a try right?

So, let’s talk about that thing you really want to do but you’re holding back from.
This episode turned out to be so much more than I thought it would. I hit record with the intention to help you start bringing some self awareness to all the ways our society, especially diet culture, influences the way we see ourselves.
I ended up diving deep into two of the huge things that mompreneurs bump into as they are trying to create and expand their businesses: One is a sense of being deeply flawed and/or focusing on our flaws. The other being this feeling of unreadiness.
The second one really got me fired up because I know how many of you have this big dream and this big passion that you’re stifling because you don’t feel ready or worthy of showing up yet. I can’t wait for you to listen to this episode if you find yourself holding back from showing up fully in your business.

I am really excited about this one because, thanks to our special guest, I get to share something with you that absolutely changed my life. I always felt like a very sensitive child and like no one around me really understood me. I seemed to be more affected by things and would cry more and get anxious and my mom didn't really understand why. As an adult, I noticed that I get overwhelmed easily and need a lot of alone time. I also am a really deep thinker and I'm very sensitive to other people's emotions. What I know now is that I'm a highly sensitive person. This is a trait that you are born with, if you are part of the small percentage of highly sensitive people on this Earth. Being highly sensitive comes with a lot of challenges but a lot of gifts as well. Today we're talking to Julie Bjelland who helps us understand how to harness our sensitivity and take care of ourselves so we can tap into the power of our sensitivity.

We are talking about Feng Shui today! You’ve probably heard the term feng shui used in conversation but you might not know what it actually is and how it can help you improve your life. Then they start to hit some hurdles that they weren’t expecting and wonder why this middle part is so hard. What often happens is that they blame themselves for their struggles on this journey. They start feeling like maybe they will never feel like they love their body. Like maybe they just can’t do this. Is that you? If it is, keep listening.
And if you are new around here, you might not recognize the lovely lady I am chatting with. That’s Kayla, my assistant who helps me with the episodes where I have something to say but I don’t wanna talk to a video of myself-- it’s just not as fun.

Hey there! I’m Melanie, your host and the confidence + empowerment coach of Vibrantly Well. You are tuning in to episode # 33 of the Becoming Vibrant podcast. Today we are talking about something you might be neglecting healthwise: your pelvic floor. Pelvic floor health is one of those things that most women only look into after they’ve had a baby and they notice leaking or pain. I definitely didn’t consider the health of my pelvic floor until I started peeing my pants a little when running or jumping. Good news! You don’t have to live with peeing your pants just because you’ve had a baby. And even better, paying attention to your pelvic floor health before giving birth can give you a strong foundation for a positive birth experience and less problems postpartum. Ready to show your pelvic floor some love? Let’s get into the episode.
For this episode I got to talk to Katie Kelly.
Katie Kelly is a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist. Following graduation in 2010, she completed her first post-graduate pelvic health course in 2011 and has been treating pelvic floor patients ever since. She is happy to work with a variety of patients – women, men, transgendered and non-binary people, of all ages. She is experienced in treating urinary/bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, constipation (including children), genital pain, chronic pelvic pain, bed-wetting, abdominal hernias, abdominal separation (diastasis recti), abdominal scar pain, birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and tailbone injuries. Katie opened her own practise in 2017, and is now happy to be expanding to her co-owned multidisciplinary clinic at Reconnect Health Centre.
You might see Katie out in the community promoting pelvic health at a variety of events. Katie is often a guest lecturer for the School of Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University, with a focused knowledge on pregnancy, pelvic health and exercise. She is an active contributing author to the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Women’s Health Division Newsletter. Katie has formed a relationship with Mount Allison University’s Sexual Health Laboratory to research chronic pelvic and genital pain conditions. Katie is also the co-founder of Motherhood Link – an online education platform for women during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
When she is not busy with her work, she can be found with her two little boys and husband enjoying nature, gardening, baking, reading…and probably folding lots of laundry!

Hey there love! I’m Melanie Maxwell, the confidence + empowerment coach of Vibrantly Well. You’re tuned in to episode number 32 of the Becoming Vibrant podcast. Today we are talking about a topic I LOVE. We are uncovering the deeper reasons we struggle with body image and go on diets. I love talking about this because it helps us realize that we don’t have to hate our bodies and we don’t have to restrict them of food, no matter what size they are. This is something we have been trained to do. When we can recognize that training, we can decide to opt out of it.
Today I am so excited to chat with Stephanie Dodier all about this.
Stephanie Dodier is a Clinical Nutritionist & Intuitive Eating Expert, speaker, podcast host and founder of the Going Beyond The Food Academy, a global coaching and online training platform focused on helping women make peace with food and their body so that they can live a fulfilling life… right now!

Hey there love! I’m Melanie Maxwell, the confidence + empowerment coach of Vibrantly Well. You’re tuned in to episode number 31 of the Becoming Vibrant podcast. Today we are busting some myths about what “healthy habits” are actually healthy. Here’s the deal: so much of what we think is “healthy” is dieting in disguise. In this episode, we’re gonna shed some light on how you know if a “healthy habit” is actually good for you and how to take care of your health without letting diet culture sneak in. One of the biggest problems that women face when it comes to their confidence is a disconnection with their bodies, and sometimes even a hatred for it. I’ve done a ton of research on health at every size and intuitive eating and body image. I’m crazy passionate about helping women come back home to their bodies, so this is gonna be a good one!
And if you are new around here, you might not recognize the lovely lady I am chatting with. That’s Kayla, my assistant who helps me with the episodes where I have something to say but I don’t wanna talk to a video of myself-- it’s just not as fun.
I'm Melanie Maxwell. I am a confidence & empowerment coach. I guide women to work through self-doubt, shame, and struggle to build their self-worth and self-confidence.
I give women the easy-to-implement tools and strategies that they need to come out of their shells and unlock their inner confident AF badass woman so that they can live their most vibrant and fulfilling lives.
I am the host of the Becoming Vibrant podcast, where we talk about self-healing in all aspects— from body image to gut health to trauma and so much more. I am also a mama of two little girls who make my work extra meaningful. When I birthed my first baby girl, and watched her look at me and start to learn from me, I knew I had to invest in myself and learn how to boost my self-confidence and embody a confident woman so I could show my daughters how to do that for themselves too. I have conquered so many challenges in my life including the loss of a parent, depression, an eating disorder, bad body image, challenging pregnancies, severe postpartum depression, emotional eating, and financial problems. I’ve been at rock bottom. I learned so many skills and tools to pull myself up, first to survive, and then to really thrive.

This is episode number 30 of the Becoming Vibrant podcast. Today we are talking about Emotional Resilience. This is such an important topic for everyone. When I reached out to Nicky to talk about emotional resilience, we were in the middle of a pandemic, and by the time we were recording it, there was also an uprising against racism with protests going on across the globe. Needless to say, emotions and stress have never been higher for most of the world. Even in quieter times, building your emotional resilience is important. So whether you are listening to this in the middle of global chaos, or maybe things have slowed down, this is a great episode to get some tools and practices to become resilient in times of stress and heightened emotions. This is especially helpful if you often find yourself drinking or eating your emotions away.
Nicky Lowe, Founder of Wisdom For Working Mums, is a qualified and accredited Executive Coach who is an advocate for achievement orientated, motivated and ambitious women who also want to be amazing mums. She helps them to combine their work and motherhood without losing their sanity or wellbeing. Nicky is invited by some of the world's most well known organisations to support their leaders. Many of these are working mums. As a busy working mum of two children herself, she knows only too well the challenges of combining motherhood with the work that fulfills her. Her passion is helping women to make the impact they want in the world without burning out.

This is episode number 29 of the Becoming Vibrant podcast and today we are talking about something that I went on a little rant about over on instagram live a few days prior: body image influencers.
Talking about body image has become a really popular thing to do on social media, and there are some big names making a full time income by posting photos of themselves with inspiring captions. Sounds like a wonderful thing, right?! Well, it is and it’s not.
When the biggest accounts talking about body image are thin women, it can ironically leave out the people who need the body positivity movement the most. In this episode, i’m talking about how it can be harmful for thin people to post about body image, but also how they can use their thin privilege to help others whose voices often don’t get listened to.
And if you are new around here, you might not recognize the lovely lady I am chatting with. That’s Kayla, my assistant who helps me with the episodes where I have something to say but I don’t wanna talk to a video of myself-- it’s just not as fun.

Hello my friends!!! I’m Melanie, your host + the body love holistic nutrition expert behind Vibrantly Well. You are tuning in to episode number 28 of the becoming vibrant podcast. Today we are talking about the more sneaky ways diet culture can cause harm to us. When we think of eating disorders, we usually think of someone who is extremely thin and barely eating, but eating disorders and disordered eating can happen in less outwardly obvious ways. A lot of what we think is just “healthy eating” is harmful and they are behaviours that come from diet culture. If you feel like you never seem to be able to eat healthy enough, or you worry that you won’t ever be able to love and honour your body, this is the episode for you.
For this episode I had a conversation with Rihanna Teixeira of The Fight for Beauty.
Rihanna was born and raised in Arizona and has since found herself living in California for the last 8 years. She struggled with eating disorders ranging from bulimia to orthorexia for over ten years and is now living in recovery. She is passionate about helping shed light on negative impacts that diet culture has on women and seeing women find peace within their bodies.

Today we are talking all about gut health. It’s become a super trendy topic and it seems like everywhere you look, there's an influencer talking about her gut health journey or giving tips for a healthier gut. The thing is, a lot of what is pushed as good for gut health, can actually do a lot of damage in the long term. In this episode, we’re talking about what actually happens when we follow a strict diet for repairing our gut and how to nurture our bodies in a way that works long term.
For this episode, I’m chatting with Molly Alliman. It’s really cool for me because she is one of the people I’ve been following on instagram for years and I remember thinking it would be so cool to have a job like hers and now I’m an anti-dieting holistic nutritionist!
Molly is a full-time health coach for individuals who are looking to make peace with food, stop dieting and start their own intuitive eating journey. She works with clients one on one, offers online courses, and also a nutrition plan for those in disordered eating recovery to help transition them into intuitive eating. Molly offers a free masterclass on how to heal your relationship with food. You can sign up at www.balancebymolly.com/masterclass. She will also be launching her 8-week signature Fear to Freedom course on August 5th which takes everything she teaches her clients on healing your relationship with food and delivers directly to you via video modules, worksheets and group support. You are tuning in to episode number 26 of the becoming vibrant podcast and this one, is for the mamas. I’m a mama of two little girls and I’ve always known I wanted to do work that made an impact in this world in addition to being a mama. But that’s easier said than done. This one is for the mama who is burnt out from putting everyone else first. The mama who knows she was born for something great. The mama who has lost her sense of identity since becoming a mother. You’re about to learn how to nurture yourself and your dreams.
Allie is a wife to her high school sweetheart, mama to two sweet, little girls, and a life and goal coach for moms. She focuses on helping overwhelmed moms master their day-to-day, make time for themselves, and start feeling amazing in their own lives. She was once that overwhelmed, frustrated mom living in a constant state of survival until she made some radical mindset shifts and transformed her life. Now she gets to live out her purpose every day by serving incredible mamas that are living just like she used to be.

This is episode number 25 of the Becoming Vibrant podcast. I’m so excited for you to hear today’s episode because I know that, now more than ever, a lot of you are feeling like you have a problem with food because you eat when you are stressed or emotional. I recorded an episode on emotional eating in season 1, but since then I have learned even more about why it happens and how we can rewire our brains to manage emotions without the need to shut them down with food.
I’m chatting with my assistant Kayla in this episode who graciously serves as my co host for the episodes that I don’t have a guest on because I don’t like talking to a video of myself. It’s just not the same. What lights me up is conversations and connecting with people and that’s the number one reason I’m a coach. I love to talk to people about deep topics. Alright, let’s talk about the 3 things you can start doing today to heal emotional eating.

This is episode number 24 of the Becoming Vibrant podcast. Have you heard of the enneagram? It’s gotten super trendy lately and you’ve probably seen people share their type. Hi, i’m a type 4! Or maybe you’ve seen enneagram memes. The enneagram is a tool you can use to better understand yourself so you can grow. So personal development lovers, this one’s for you! In this episode, Steph Barron Hall talks to us about how we can use the enneagram to grow into the best version of ourselves and also how to use the enneagram as a tool for improving our relationships. Her brand-new book, Enneagram in Love, is all about this. I was so so excited for this one because I personally have used the enneagram to work on myself and to communicate better in my marriage. I’m not kidding, knowing my type and my husband's type has been a helpful tool that I use every single day. I understand myself better and I understand him better even though we see the world in very different ways. This has helped us learn from each other and grow together so I am so happy i get to share this with you through this episode.

This is episode number 23 of the Becoming Vibrant podcast and today we are diving into the topic of exercise. Because here’s the thing, exercise can be amazing for your health, but you can also really damage your health with exercise too. It all comes back to your intention and listening to your body. And i know “just listen to your body” might sound kind of vague or you’re like “dude if i listen to my body i will just be a lazy couch potato”-- don’t worry! We talk about those things, so keep listening.
I had this conversation with Maryann Auger and I was so freaking excited for it. It’s funny because Maryann actually works with my husband Keegan at a local community centre. He works in the pool and she works in the gym. Keegan came home one day and was like hey you know that trainer Maryann? I think you would actually really like her, she posts the same stuff you do. I was super surprised because there aren't a whole lot of anti-diet and weight inclusive trainers out there but as soon as we connected on instagram I was so glad to have met her. I talk more about food and Maryann is an expert in fitness so I was excited to have her on the show to share that side of things.

This is episode # 22 of the becoming vibrant podcast and today we are talking about MONEY. What is your reaction when I say that? So many people, the majority actually, have an unhealthy or negative relationship with money. And I definitely used to be one of those people. I’ve learned so much and have really been working on it.
I had this conversation with Michelle Breau, who has actually been on the podcast before. She was episode number 1 when this podcast was a brand new baby podcast. Michelle has been my business coach for about 9 months and she has really turned into a close friend of mine. She really is amazing at helping people move through what’s blocking them from living the life they want to live, and money mindset was one of those things for me.
