Rebecca tells how studying in her family based discipleship group is helping not just her but also her children who are watching and listening as the adults talk.

Our guest speaker Paul Friend spoke on Isaiah 6 inviting us to focus on God and challenging us as to whether we come to worship with the right heart.
He ended his talk with an invitation for three different types of prayer: asking for a fresh revelation of God, humbling ourselves before God or needing his healing touch whether emotionally or physically.
Karl Straw, who regularly gives prophetic words, listed a number of physical ailments and emotional problems which God wanted to heal.
A prayer team prayed for individuals and yes, people were healed! Praise God!
Audrey's talk, Do as Jesus Did, covers three keys points: sharing the gospel, witnessing and doing miracles.
We're continuing our Practising the Way series with Bob telling us God can change us, no matter what our challenges or what our issues.
Andy continues our Practising the Way series, focussing on spiritual formation and our response to Jesus' invitation, asking:
How am I...
Desiring to be like Jesus, that person of love?
Making choices to enable me to be with him?
Being patient while he works in me?
Finding "rest" through yielding to his way and pace?
Cherryl invites us to build time with God in our lives; wash up with God, get the shopping with God. Let's start to develop the habit of being with God.
We kick off our Practicing the Way series with Karena and Kath encouraging us on our journey with Jesus and asking us what's stopping us from getting closer to him?
Jen starts her talk with a monologue as Martha and goes on to explore the relationships in this story and our own relationship with Jesus.
Rich introduces our new teaching series based on the book, Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer. Rich set the foundations of the course with an Old Testament overview of God's call to "walk in his ways". Our discipleship and small groups will also be studying this book during the next few months.
Aled reminds leaders that we need God, that we are followers and encourages us to connect and share.
Kath tells Joseph's story to encourage us to remember God's promises to us and to keep walking with Jesus every day.
Karena helps us delve deeper into the story of Mary and Martha with readings, discussion and silence.

Maddy and Mark Norridge, our good friends from Synergy spent the weekend with us and at our Sunday joint celebration gave prophecies for us, Exmouth and Hatherleigh community churches. This was followed by a talk from Mark entitled Church Around the Table.
Muriel talks about how Jesus showed love and acceptance to the Samaritan woman at the well and he offers this to everyone, which is amazing!
Hannah explores the images of security and protection in Psalm 91 encouraging us to dial up our confidence in God.
Mark says God has called Isca to be an authentic, adaptable, anointed and apostolic community. He recommended the song: Your Labour is Not in Vain which we're showcasing on our social media channels.
Sim leads the second part of our series on New Beginnings, inviting discussions, showing a video and encouraging testimonies reminding us we are all children of God. 4 February 2024

Norman's got his surf board, wetsuit and beach shoes ready to catch the big waves. He encourages us to wait actively and keep trusting God.
Matthew 28: 16-20 Karena Mulcock talks on Jesus the Sender and asks is there a physical place, a chair, a view, somewhere where you can come and encounter Jesus so his presence can be with you as you go to share Jesus with others.
Sarah, who leads, Creation Fest in Cornwall, asks: What does it mean for you to know the Crucified King? Do you know his cosmic power in your life.
Matthew 26: 36-46. Lyn talks about when Jesus was at his most human in the garden of Gethsemane and his lessons in how to pray. Lyn encourages us to hold onto Jesus' promises when we are overwhelmed or prayer goes unanswered.
Matthew 12: 15-37 Jesus wants us to flourish in every area of our lives. Richard introduces the theme of feeling robbed and chats with Julie who felt robbed of her life when her baby and husband both died but is now flourishing after re-discovering the presence of Jesus in her life.
Over a lovely breakfast together Sim inspired us to rest in God's presence on the Sabbath and to reflect on what the Sabbath looks like for us in our lives?
Join Matt for an immersive walk with Jesus as he performs miracles. Jesus has come to liberate us from our messy lives and unresolved difficulties which we mask by putting a show. Matt asks us where are we performing tidiness?
Jesus is our champion and rescuer in times of trouble. Rich asks if our identity is in Christ - can we declare we are a child of God? He encourages us to learn more Bible verses.
Muriel, who with her husband Bob, having spent many years serving God in Europe have seen the refugee crisis close at hand. Here Muriel tells stories of families fleeing their homes are helped by church family and inspires us to show love and a true welcome to migrants.
Kath Entrican ends the New Land series reminded us that God promises us hope and a future and church family tell how they share God. Challenge: Ask God to give you a natural way to share him this week - he'll surprise you says Kath.
Rich talks about letting go, keeping hold and taking up new things. Philippians 3.7-14. He asks what from our past is holding us back from stepping forward and encourages us to take part in church activities and seek God.
Maria Alford encourages everyone to think of themselves as being part of church family. "As a church we really do believe that God has put us together and to do life together and everyone has a part to play in that from the youngest to the oldest."
Mark explores the theme of light and darkness and how light brings life, guidance and hope. We can pray God's goodness into our lives.
Lyn Gould challenges us and encourages us to move into our calling as Joshua did. Are there areas of your life in which you are being held back? When God calls us he also equips us.
