Project EDWARD
Since we launched Project EDWARD in 2016, we have watched it claim its place as a key event in the road safety calendar. New for 2021 is our fortnightly podcast in which we have the opportunity to explore and debate a range of topics outside the busy atmosphere of our September week of action. Underpinning our activity in 2021 is The Safe System, an approach that sets up road systems to let people use them intuitively – and to stay safe in the process. This will be a central theme for our podcast conversations. We will also look for the answers to a number of important questions. For example, how do we look more critically at the modern criminal justice system? Are we brave enough to challenge how things work? What’s required in an effective post-crash response? How can efforts to reduce drink and drug driving be re-energised? A new Project EDWARD podcast episode will be published every fortnight from 4 June until 3 December 2021.
