In this episode I mention starting my first online business an eCommerce website in 2019, but it’s important to correct that. It was actually started in 2012.

When a client expresses interest in working with you, gets on a discovery/consultation call, raves about how great you are then its crickets after...you've been ghosted.
I have been ghosted many a times and it is high time we address this 'ish. It is NOT cool. Now I have done it in the past and I am sure you have to be it really isn't right.
Whatever the reason we choose not to work with someone nothing is wrong with sending an email stating this. This does not have to be long winded email giving your whole life history but a simple, "unfortunately I have decided to go another route but thank you for your time" is sufficient.

Have you ever been given the opportunity to job shadow someone?
Well I was given the best birthday gift ever and that was to job shadow the one and only Pauleanna Reid, Celebrity Ghost Writer and Senior Contributor at Forbes.
Now I was not granted this opportunity because it was my birthday, I was one out of 10 persons chosen and you had to actually apply for a spot. Anyway I was chosen and I was and still am eternally grateful for the amazing opportunity that was afforded to me.

So time to spill ALL the tea about the latest Instagram announcement/ update...sigh.
By now you may or may not have heard that Instagram is no longer a photo sharing app. Now to be honest, Instagram is annoying (a huge understatement) to say to say the least and I am certain others share the same sentiment.
People are either freaking out, pissed, and others excited for the new opportunity that awaits. In my IG Stories you guys were 50/50 when it came to voting for Adapting VS Losing Focus...
It's a bit of both in my opinion.
There is a fine line between evolution and being obsessed with the competition.
I have no problem with evolution but when you are constantly rolling out new features that many countries don't have access too, is super frustrating.
How are you going to continue to focus on new features and areas that many people don't have access too? You want us to do more of "this" but don't give "this" to us, should we assume this app is no longer for certain regions?
So instead of competing with TikTok, you're essentially sending many regions over to TikTok.
However I believe you can still have success on this app just that if you don't have certain features you have to get even more creative than those who do.

What is Patriotism? And What does it really mean to you?
As you listen to this episode I want to you to sit and think what does Patriotism mean to you as a national of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago? Last week Trinidad and Tobago celebrated Republic Day. And on Republic Day I did not think about our nationals stranded abroad. Like most I probably griped I could not go to the beach. What a privilege huh? In this episode I also shared some thoughts from someone who had Covid-19 in T&T, how they got it and what other disease they compared it too.
Anyway take a listen to this episode, it's a different pace of episode to my norm, but all of the things, it definitely need to be said, aired, discussed and I am not afraid to speak up for what is right. Take a break from discussing bacchanal and let's be more constructive, because let's be real the only reason we care so much about the sou sou is not because we care about other people's financial literacy. It's more about being drawn to discuss sweet sweet bacchanal.

As a follow up to my last episode, it was only fair to share a few things I don't like about the pandemic so as to bring a bit of balance to the conversation. There is a such thing as toxic positivity so balance is needed so as to allow everyone to feel heard in their circumstance and experience of the pandemic.
I hope you appreciate this little series and two part episode that while is not quite on the topic of business tips but more a holistic approach to our lives today, as entrepreneurs, mompreneurs, people who are professionals working from home, etc.

Week before last week, I started to feel as though I was constantly going without end and proper relaxation. With kids constant prattling in my head since March 13th paired with the demands are running a business and serving clients every need. I needed to get away.
I craved silence so much and the nightly alone time seemed sorely insufficient.
I knew it was time to go back to my roots. I neglected this part of my life and my heritage for an unusually long period. It was at that moment I knew what I needed to do. Like old time sake head to Plymouth, Tobago.
✨ Hop on a plane to the sister isle before we end up in lockdown again because at this rate...well if you know you know. So here’s the thing. Self care is important. Imma say that AGAIN. Self care is important. It is not selfish it is GOOD. Funny enough through my aunt who is going to be 87 years old confirmed that doing these types of things for self is the secret to long life. So if you don’t take it from me. Take it from her.
✨ She said “people need time away from kids and husbands, when you come back you gain so much clarity”.
You just need SILENCE.
So in this podcast episode I shared all of the Tea from my great Aunt, mother, successful female entrepreneur, ambassador for Tourism in Tobago. I also share my insights, ah-ha moments, and my discoveries as through silence the messages were able to come through a lot more clearly. Sometimes we simply need to silence the noise instead of always trying to "rise above the noise" on social media.

But as more and more jobs become remote working from home with kids isn't just for mompreneurs anymore but now our fellow working moms in typical day jobs I decided now is the best time to talk about this.

As of April 2020, something happened with PayPal Trinidad where some people, most people it seems, are no longer able to withdraw their PayPal funds to their VISA card, regardless if its VISA DEBIT or VISA CREDIT.
This is extremely distressing I can imagine. Unless you have a USA bank account you have no avenue to withdraw the funds you rightly earned, which is puzzling to me. In this video I share how you can get paid in 2020 with PayPal
