In combining vocations of scholarship, teaching, and pastoring, Mark has followed an uncommon path, but it is the synergy of these three thingspastoring, researching, and teachingthat has shaped him to write and teach for the church with clarity and creativity. This week our Guest Pastor Sid VanderWoud will be preaching his sermon"The Spirit Enters Where You Live"from the scripture passage of Ephesians 5:18-6:9. Sid has pastored at Hope Community Church since 1996. Prior to that he was a vice principal and middle school teacher at John Knox Christian School in Burnaby. He has always loved teaching and working with people. Teaching and influencing people in their growth is a passion of his. Sid and his wife Candy have four children who are now all married, and ten grand kids.

This Sunday, Pastor Ed will be preaching a message from Philippians 3: 10-16 entitled "Pressing on in 2022: The One Needful New Year's Resolution"
This Sunday we will be celebrating with song, enjoying a morning of singing Christmas Carols and a message from our guest Pastor Danny Fabiano. Pastor Danny will preach a homily from Luke 2: 22-39.
The Christian life can be thought of as a journey of being and becoming real. To know what is true is to be put in touch with reality. To become true is to become more fully human. Each generation is faced with challenges in being and becoming real. This series will explore some themes that are relevant to the church and Christians at this juncture in its history.
