Glenn is the founder of the Imperfectly Perfect Campaign Global (IPC Global) - with a mission of creating a new world for humanity where acceptance and understanding is at the fore-front of every human interaction where our differences are celebrated through love and compassion.

This episode shares his journey on starting a global movement, from the inspiration, to his drive, to his lows and everything in between.

If you're feeling like you want to get inspired, this episode is for you, Glenn shares some straight knowledge in this episode and if you ever wanted to start a campaign or start an entrepreneurial venture we talk about what it's really like, not sharing the success pictures but the lows as well.

(Trigger Warning) IPC Global wants to share these conversations because Glenn's friend unfortunately lost his life to suicide due to not being comfortable enough to share his lows. This fuelled Glenn to launch this movement, and kept him motivated through the highs, lows, and everything in between. This was a very powerful episode and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

History... Some love it, some don't. I used to be in the later category, but through conversations like the one we had with Benyamin, I have officially converted.

This episode talks about how geography and climate influences our lives. From macro aspects such as war between countries, to micro aspects on how countries' quest for more water ways is vital enough that they may use propoganda so different people to hate one another, which could lead countries to war.

Very unique episode. This episode allows us to go out of our own personal path and realize that there are somethings that are really out of our control. Being aware of this allows us to recognize what we can and can't change. Through this we are able to better ourselves, and This is a very deep topic. Benyamin and I repeatedly mention we are not experts, and more-so just enjoyed bringing these points up. We hope this talk sparks interest for your curiosity to explore these topics, and more abstract topics like this more-so.

You cannot make up this story... WOW.

I had a fantastic time getting to hear Wally's story on how he went from gang life to diplomat in North Korea. As we discover near the end of his story, Wally's past may have been the only reason that he achieved his goal of diplomacy in North Korea. What you believe, you can achieve. I love this interview, and hope that you do too!

My good friend, Joseph, a graduate student focusing on public health who recently submitted his thesis joined us on this episode. We talked about high level strategy to stabilize societies, how COVID-19 could've been addressed differently in Canada, and also why we need to have compassion for those with differing viewpoints in life, and why we need to make time for friends.  This episode was conducted a bit differently then we usually conduct our episodes, where me and Joseph have a longer chat on a topic that interests us both. We both had some fun doing this so might throw in more regular episodes like this.

Mark Herschberg is the author of The Career Toolkit, Essential Skills for Success That No One Taught You. From tracking criminals and terrorists on the dark web to creating marketplaces and new authentication systems, Mark has spent his career launching and developing new ventures at startups and Fortune 500s and in academia. Beyond this Mark is a MIT instructor, multiple degree holder (B.S. in physics, a B.S. in electrical engineering & computer science, and a M.Eng. in electrical engineering & computer science). He is also one of the top-ranked ballroom dancer and a cuff-link aficionado!

Mark's computer science focus was in cryptography, and if you checked out our chat with Dan some episode's back, I had to ask his opinion on bitcoin, and the blockchain!

Beyond that fun segment we talk about what Mark thought he would be doing as a kid, and how his past experiences led to where he is today. We talk specifically about:

  • Why you need a career plan and how it can benefit you
  • How to network during COVID
  • How to maintain relationships with colleagues
  • How the pandemic may have been a HUGE positive rather than a negative for networking
  • The 3 steps to create effective meetings
  • The types of groups you should be looking for

Mihalis Eleftheriou is the Creator of Language Transfer, a language learning program teaching you languages from Spanish all the way to Swahili. Oh yeah... The program is completely free, and to be frank-- it kicks ass. It is also run exclusively off of donations, if you'd like to support look at the links at the bottom of this segment. Mihalis's journey is nothing short of remarkable, and the convictions that he has in his life really inspire me to level up in my own.

In this podcast we talk about "fighting with yourself" which in a nut shell is questioning your beliefs, your values, and what you want out of life... even when avoiding this can allow you to maintain a position of power.

This episode takes us through Mihalis's upbringing, his journey throughout the world, his mission with Language Transfer and related projects, and the future, and more!

And one quick SPOILER... Mihalis will resume accepting bitcoin as donation again :)! So for you bitcoin fans, you can support Mihalis and Language Transfer through crypto!

Had a great time catching up with a childhood friend of mine, Payman. Payman is a SFU Graduate with a Bachelor's of Health Science and was recently at UToronto's Nursing program... Through reflection and conversations with many individuals Payman soon realized that this program may not be the best fit for him...  Investing time and effort in an endeavour can often make us feel compelled to finish a route that does not fit us as we feel we've already made it this far... But through reflection and consultation with various colleagues, faculty, family, and friends, Payman had the courage to leave this program and pursue his true calling in life....  Very important lesson in this episode for sure and I hope you enjoy it.  ___ ❗~If you enjoyed the episode please leave a like/review so we know, share with your friends, and subscribe for more amazing guests~❗       Do you have an idea for who would make a cool guest? Had a fantastic time interviewing Joseph! We talk about how he changed his life starting from financial hardship, turning to college to pursue psychology, realizing that that wasn't for him, and then going to firefighting where he found an environment that bonded with his nature. Due to some things mentioned in the podcast nudge to click play :) Joseph ended up going into paramedicine and describes his unique experience of working in a variety of public and private systems.

Some topics we discuss include:

  • Mental health and how to take care of yourself during tough times
  • Stigma around mental health both in personal and professional lives
  • Reasons to be an advocate for the betterment of others
  • Lessons that both the private and public health systems can get from one another
  • Changes in policy that can decrease the financial expenditure for health care
  • Recommendation to include more communication focussed training in health care and why
  • The benefits of collaboration and social events with various factions of the first responder unit (e.g., police, fire, paramedicine).
  • The Progressive Paramedics program and website where Joseph and a colleague are trying to equip ambulances with blood to help save lives

This episode was a great time to record and I even learned something new about blood donations... seems like 0- isn't the only blood type that can be utilized... Interested to see what can?

Where to catch Joseph?

Dr. Desmoulin had a very unique upbringing and as I mention in the interview is in my opinion one of the GOAT graduates from the SFU Kinesiology Department. Geoffrey has achieved a lot from his research, to becoming a host of The Deadliest Warrior, and starting his own business at GTD Scientific. We talk about his process in getting here, what individuals should strive to do in their life, and I ask some nerdy questions about The Deadliest Warrior, because let's be honest... Great show :)

Early hardship shapes Dan's life, and bitcoin is the vehicle of his choice for turning his financial hardships to success. This is a long deep episode, we talk about how to cancel bad habits, how to stop them from forming in the first place, how to schedule your day to be very productive and make sure that you get the things you need to finish get completed. We also talk about various issues from the educational system in North America, to crisis around the world, to psychological theories like the self-determination theory (competence, relatedness, and autonomy), how to be financially competent and  even how Dan actually ran for President of the USA as a write-in candidate. This is the final Part of a 3-Part Series with Dan Marshall Great conversation and advice in this last little bit.  We have edited out a majority of the swearing, but we may have missed some language (so just a warning). To make these edits fun, I have used the word "zoom" for swearing and "Loop" for specific names. I have run this by Dan to make sure he is okay with this too :)!   Long one, but definitely a lot of value if you're interested in bitcoin, how to persevere through hardship, personal finance, how to run as a presidential candidate, and more!  Let us know your thoughts down below in the comments section! Wow. What a conversation we had with Brian! This is definitely an episode that had a lot of value, so make sure to watch in full. Brian is an individual with a long career as a paramedic, has seen, and experienced first hand tragedies such as New York City's September 11th, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center, and dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Brian shares his experience on the front lines, how moving state to state shaped both his personality and future outlook and also his ability to connect with individuals.  These are just some small points that we discuss, but there are a lot of conversations that you are going to enjoy!   Brian, thank you again for your service, and thank everyone on the front-lines for helping us get through this pandemic!

One critical message was Brian's belief in the people to come together during this tough time to persevere through the challenges that we are facing today!

Reece shares his life story on how he was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, and how he took the negative comments given to him by language instructors and used this as fuel to connect with various individuals through their own native tongue. With a degree in more than two languages, Reece is nothing short of absolutely amazing, which he partially credits to his ability to embrace who he is fully.
