Ultra Vague is an international label, founded in 2009 with three main branches one in USA, one in Belgium and one in Ukraine. We cover a diverse selection of genres such as chillwave, trip-hop, downtempo, indie-folk/pop, adult contemporary, singer/songwriter, nu r&b, soul. We do not expect to get any kind of hard rock or rap submissions. We also like it when electronic sound meets acoustic instruments. Submissions are welcome here: https://www.submithub.com/label/ultra-vague
Chris Richter is an Amsterdam-based artist, who distinguishes herself as storyteller first, musician second. Her music genre bends to the will of the words she writes with instinct and intent. Her obsession with reshaping the boundaries of language makes for intricate word webs that fall into place on webs of dark reverb, haunting strings and horns and deep and rhythmic bass. 'Rephrase, and then rephrase again,' is the holy idea of her music. Her sharp introspection and love for history have brought forth a number of songs inspired by Greek mythology, as well as some more personal works. Her newest EP, The Train of 3:30, is a collection of interconnected yet atmospherically diverse songs.

"Glorification of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is performed in the paramparā system, that is, it is conveyed from the spiritual master to disciple. Such glorification is relished by those no longer interested in the false, temporary glorification of this cosmic manifestation. Descriptions of the Lord are the right medicine for the conditioned soul undergoing repeated birth and death. Therefore, who will cease hearing such glorification of the Lord except a butcher or one who is killing his own self?" In India it is the practice among the general populace to hear about Kṛṣṇa, either from Bhagavad-gītā or from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, in order to gain relief from the disease of repeated birth and death. Although India is now fallen, when there is a message that someone will speak about Bhagavad-gītā or Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, thousands of people still gather to hear. This verse indicates, however, that such recitation of Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam must be done by persons completely freed from material desires (nivṛtta-tarṣaiḥ). Everyone within this material world, beginning from Brahmā down to the insignificant ant, is full of material desires for sense enjoyment, and everyone is busy in sense gratification, but when thus engaged one cannot fully understand the value of kṛṣṇa-kathā, either in the form of Bhagavad-gītā or in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.- Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (Bhāgavata Purāṇa) 10.1.4The track was recorded and produced by Fudo KazukiAndrew Claes - flute + FX @andrew-chi-claesAntwerp based musician/producerhttps://andrewclaes.net

There is always some upheaval in the material world which may be good or evil. One who is not agitated by such material upheavals, who is unaffected by good and evil, is to be understood to be fixed in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. As long as one is in the material world there is always the possibility of good and evil because this world is full of duality. But one who is fixed in Kṛṣṇa consciousness is not affected by good and evil, because he is simply concerned with Kṛṣṇa, who is all-good absolute. Such consciousness in Kṛṣṇa situates one in a perfect transcendental position called, technically, samādhi.

Xavier is a singer/songwriter born in London. He grew up in France, New Zealand and Australia, spending a lot of his childhood on the move. He’s spent most of his adult life as an entrepreneur - In his early 20s he left Australia, starting his first business and couch-surfing his way across the US. Furthermore, he went on to become an early employee of Deliveroo (first 30) where he was a major part of growing the UK business as a general manager. He left Deliveroo to launch a business called Turo (a US unicorn) in the UK and run their international business.
At age 30 he rediscovered his love of music and passion for songwriting. This coincided with lockdowns and the ability to focus on writing his first EP. He’s teamed up with the producers Wayward to release Coastlines. This first EP is inspired by music influences such as Dylan, Radiohead, Bon Iver and Vance Joy and is a reflection on a challenging period of his life.
The EP maps a relationship breakdown between him and his best friend, who told him she was in love with him a week after getting married. Coastlines reflect the toxic descent of this relationship into chaos, heartbreak and lockdown and the ensuing escape through travelling the world. Coastlines is the opening and closing of this chapter in his life.

London based singer-songwriter Xavier Collins is poised to announce his second release with the arrival of 'Gone'. Produced by electronic production duo Wayward (seen in Mixmag, DJ Mag, The Ransom Note), it is lifted from the forthcoming 'Coastlines' EP due April 2022.
"This is an acoustic track, it's raw and unplugged. It was recorded in one take as a guide / reference and not to a click... but we decided to just go with it as it was, because it's authentic and emotional. The song was written after many failed attempts to find my natural sound and almost in desperation - the lyrics, like the song's essence, were inspired by Song For Zula."

"In the material world, one who is unaffected by whatever good or evil he may obtain, neither praising it nor despising it, is firmly fixed in perfect knowledge." B.G. 2.57

One who is not disturbed in mind even amidst the threefold miseries or elated when there is happiness, and who is free from attachment, fear and anger, is called a sage of steady mind.
Purport
The word muni means one who can agitate his mind in various ways for mental speculation without coming to a factual conclusion. It is said that every muni has a different angle of vision, and unless a muni differs from other munis, he cannot be called a muni in the strict sense of the term. Nāsāv ṛṣir yasya mataṁ na bhinnam (Mahābhārata, Vana-parva 313.117). But a sthita-dhīr muni, as mentioned herein by the Lord, is different from an ordinary muni. The sthita-dhīr muni is always in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, for he has exhausted all his business of creative speculation. He is called praśānta-niḥśeṣa-mano-rathāntara (Stotra-ratna 43), or one who has surpassed the stage of mental speculations and has come to the conclusion that Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, or Vāsudeva, is everything (vāsudevaḥ sarvam iti sa mahātmā su-durlabhaḥ). He is called a muni fixed in mind. Such a fully Kṛṣṇa conscious person is not at all disturbed by the onslaughts of the threefold miseries, for he accepts all miseries as the mercy of the Lord, thinking himself only worthy of more trouble due to his past misdeeds; and he sees that his miseries, by the grace of the Lord, are minimized to the lowest. Similarly, when he is happy he gives credit to the Lord, thinking himself unworthy of the happiness; he realizes that it is due only to the Lord’s grace that he is in such a comfortable condition and able to render better service to the Lord. And, for the service of the Lord, he is always daring and active and is not influenced by attachment or aversion. Attachment means accepting things for one’s own sense gratification, and detachment is the absence of such sensual attachment. But one fixed in Kṛṣṇa consciousness has neither attachment nor detachment because his life is dedicated in the service of the Lord. Consequently he is not at all angry even when his attempts are unsuccessful. Success or no success, a Kṛṣṇa conscious person is always steady in his determination.

"This track was titled "Color" because I was trying to interpret the feeling of happiness into sounds. Whenever you feel happy the world looks so vivid and fresh to you.
I felt some energy going after I've visited a Hare Krishna ISKCON temple in Kyiv a few years back. I was under a huge influence and it took me about 30 minutes to do a sketch. I tried to finish the track a few times, but every time I failed to reproduce that atmosphere. Now it's finally done and I think I got pretty close to what I had in my head.
In ancient Vedic texts, in Sanskrit, the term "varna" is used for the word color, meaning not only colors, but also a specific feature that is unique to a particular person, nation, locality, etc. George Harrison (The Beatles) duly appreciated the heritage of Vedic literature and allocated $ 10,000 and wrote a preface to the book "Krishna" by A.С. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. "

Sorrow Leads to Salvation keeps telling us his easygoing story and welcomes us in the twilight zone, full of doubt, suspicion, anyone could be your enemy there, even you. Falling to the point of extinction starts right here. All ghosts and gods were left far behind.

Point of view matters: I see that now, blind, talking to myself, trapped in a coffin falling past the edge of the solar system. I see it for the first time since some beaten bloody friend on a childhood battlefield convinced me to throw my own point of view away. Peter Watts — Blindsight.

The lack of free time and family business kept me away while the pile of tracks submitted for the compilation grew bigger and bigger. We are in a constant search for new ideas and music experiments, but today it is obvious that fusion of new musical trends and our own vision of a new contemporary Ukrainian style, winning the hearts of conscious music lovers. "First of all we create music that makes us and our audience become more open to the vast universe of new possibilities and achievements "

Ukraine is experiencing some tough times at the moment and I wanted to make this compilation consisting just of songs in Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian. Not sure if this edition will be of any interest to non-Slavik folks, but those who'll give it a try won't regret. - Fudo Kazuki
Uvarious Artists Vol.4 by ULTRA VAGUE RECORDINGS
"This song was recorded about 6 years ago with some help from Alex Kuleshov еру sound engineer. I performed the water part on a plastic pelvis, played guitar and bass parts on bass guitar. It's interesting that this track has 17/4 measure. It was not done on purpose, the melody demanded for it. I even had some troubles with Fruity Loops because of it (there was no such a measure) and I had to migrate the project to Cubase." - Anna Mia Anna Mia is a singer, songwriter and composer from Moscow. She ived in the mountains and learned to sing with nightingales and other birds. She was featured on Moon Voyage records "Dreamers", "World Out" and also worked with Planet Ragtime on their single "Character".
"One of the most extraordinary voice that I've heard". - Shalapi | Moon Voyage
Planet Ragtime called her "incomparable", while her dear sister says: "There are a lot of sweet apples and other such kind of stuff In her voice."

«Million Years of Sorrow is the most complicated and thoroughly composed my work to this moment. It is a result of a long search for my own sound and my way of conveying ideas and emotions. This release is telling about the time and stories that go side by side with human life. This record is very biographical and reflexive. There are 14 tracks and each of them is a part of a big story that leads a listener from logical beginning to it’s logical end. I hope I’ve succseded in conveying my ideas from the first to the last sound.» — Adam aka Sorrow Leads To Salvation
Some tracks on the album were written with vocalist Alice Wonder, she added her own emotion and mood into the musical canvas.
The author wants to show his great appreciation to Jaroslav Tseluiko for his help in mixing of tracks #2, #3 и #5
Coverart: Daria «Ash» Golubenko
Sorrow Leads To Salvation is the project of a Kyiv-based sound producer known under the alias Adam Maylow. Speaking of the sound, the artist tries to make it manifold, combining a lot of genres to reach a unique eclecticism across ambient, techno, instrumental hip-hop, IDM etc.

It took me quite some time to put together this release. I've spent most of it traveling and listening to music. Every city I visited had it's own vibe. There is just one non-slavik track despite 2 previous compilations. FREE DOWNLOAD: uvrecordings.com/albums/uvarious-artists-2/vol-3
