Why does God allow suffering and evil? Is there an objective moral code? Not only does Christianity offer the best explanation for the existence of evil and suffering, it also offers the best solution. God sent his Son, Jesus, to suffer and die to pay the penalty for our sins. Anyone who places their trust in Him will live forever with Him in paradise, where there will be no more pain or suffering. Christianity is the worldview that best matches reality. It makes sense of life, meaning, morality, pain and suffering. It tells us how we got here and where we are going. But there’s another important component to a worldview we haven’t mentioned yet: a worldview requires a commitment. Your worldview will shape the way you live your life, even if you don’t realize it. If you believe humans are mere animals and hold no special value, how do you think you will treat other people? But if you think human beings are immensely valuable, then you must treat them that way.
