Are you EMOTIONALLY intelligent? That is the question I pose to all people but particularly by my black family. It was a post on Facebook that sparked this thought. A sister posted that black people don't like to support black people and we only jump on the bandwagon once one of us GET ON. Well, I agree and I think we need to get over our emotions about things and do what works....By Any Means Necessary. Emotions are natural but they can hinder us when we don't know how to deal with them. If emotional intelligence was applied to this case, then we wouldn't care that black people only support when we get on, we would just get on. Wish it wasn't like this, but it is. Black people deal with a lot of hurt and shame....it's true and obvious. And rightly so. But it's time to heal. To the sister on Facebook, I don't know what your business is but just work your ass off and get on. Then, we'll jump on the bandwagon. It ain't easy but it is simple.
