Valerio (DHP aka Life Dee) had his first contact with djing during his teenage years, recording mixtapes over the pop music cassettes he could sneak out of his parents' collection. He would then close himself in his attic to produce, experiment, and mix the dusty records he could find at flea markets. In the early 2010s, he founded the MadMonk DJ trio and conducted a radio show named Inner City Life, becoming a stable presence in the Milan area's alternative electronic music scene. After a hiatus, he regained his creative enthusiasm after a musical pilgrimage between Berlin and Prague and started his solo project. House, techno, disco, and rap music are the main nourishment of his soul and, as a hopeless romantic, he's constantly looking for emotions in the records he selects and produces. In the last years they are burning dancefloors everywhere and producing a lot of amazing music. Their headquarter is the Take It Easy party in Milan, a reference point for the clubbing scene where they play every month alongside some of the best international djs. Dirty Channels’ sound is a journey into the old school house grooves and the deepest detroit-techno atmospheres, passing throughout disco-funk and afro vibes. As producers, they’ve been discovered by the italo-house masters Pastaboys releasing their first tracks on Manocalda Records, then they soon landed on legendary labels as Defected / Glitterbox, Dan Shake's label Shake, Classic Music Company and Ovum Recordings by Josh Wink. An important chapter for Dirty Channels is marked by the release of “Watchin' Out” on Athens Of The North, a disco-house dancefloor killer that have been included in the Tunes Of The Year chart by Mixmag magazine, with more than 1,5 million plays on Spotify, it also received full support from artists as Gilles Peterson, Jeremy Underground, Kerri Chandler and many others which they’re also collaborating with. Together with DJLMP and Bugsy, Dirty Channels recently launched their own label "Take It Easy", born to spread the sound that most characterizes the party. Cristian Rot is an Italian DJ and passionate vinyl collector, based in the Alps. Rot is inspired by the symbiosis between the DJ and the dancefloor. That's why he likes to call himself a clubber. Ever since he became a DJ back in 1996, his main objective has been to create customized sound for the audience. Believing in an evolution of sound, Cristian Rot takes you on a journey of genres, ranging from Funk to new and classic House, including a lot of Disco, Chicago and Deep House, rich of Acapella and vocals. Throughout the years participation, collaborations and partnership have been happening in the most important clubs and events of his city and not only. Rot enchants with his eclectic music selection in various clubs in the region of Lazio as well as at the notable after parties of Milan fashion week. In addition, he played in Ibiza and at Innsbruck's notable “Tante Emma Club”. For about 4 years, Cristian Rot has been a weekly guest on the radio show “La notte” by the Radio channel NBC playing vinyl only dj set. In 2018, he launched an ambitious project called “Riot/ club.culture” focusing on the engagement of culture, music and art. DJ as BRANDO, electro-acoustic sound hacker as @akousmatikoi . Brando Calmonte is an Italian sound hacker, vinyl defender, DJ & music producer as BRANDO, live electronics performer, and sound designer as Akousmatikoi. His musical career began at a young age, approaching the study of instruments such as electric guitar and classical piano. In these years of important artistic maturation he has been able to acquire the elements that form the basis of his musical concept, absorbing the influence of Rhythm & Blues, Funk & Soul and those sounds typical of Metal distortions. He is currently based between Bassano Del Grappa and Berlin, where in 2019 he achieved Electronic Music Production & Performance Degree with first class honours at Dbs Music Berlin. The Berlin period has immersed the artist in a musically dynamic and effervescent context, allowing him the opportunity to focus on the search for his own personal taste with which to give sound to his artistic personality. The manipulation and synthesis of individual sounds are the protagonists of Akousmatikoi's musical expression that distinguishes his evolving identity. Organic elements mixed with the surreal magic of sound engineering techniques are the characteristic elements of Brando's sounds; his production focuses mainly on electroacoustic music, the audio-visual interrelation and original score for dance performances and fashion catwalk. His artistic collaborations with numerous artists have allowed him to blend his music with other artistic disciplines such as the architecture of Klemens Sitzmann and the music for Shibari rope master Marika Leila Roux. Among his latest works there is the sound design for Moncler at Fashion Week in Milan 2019 with the art directors Patrick Kinmonth, Antonio Monfreda and Lorenzo Ambrogio. In 2020 Black Angus Records is proud to present ‘Beautiful Ghost’ an Ep by Brando. Although a newcomer, Brando Calmonte is already known in Berlin and Italy for his rhythmic vigor and energetic dj sets. Starting out as a multi-instrumentalist, he seamlessly made his way into music as an electro-acoustic composer and sound designer. The young Italian artist has already being praised by some of the best in the music scene such as Dj Soch, Manuold, Mark Grusane, Cormac, Luigi Di Venere, Fka.m4a, DJ Octopus , Steve Murphy and many more... MARCO SAPIENS took his first steps in the middle of the eighties in a small radio in South Italy (one of the first radios that played only club music). He warmed immediately to the Black, Electrobeat and Fusion sonorities. In 1987, with the advent of "House Music", he started his dj career touring all over Italy and Europe and djing in many clubs. In the first part of the Nineties, he met some musicians that introduced him in the world of music productions. The accumulated experiences on the dancefloors persuaded him to produce a global sound composed by many shades (House,Techno,Deep...) under a common denominator : his very own style. Since 1995, he has made remixes for many international labels and for the likes of "Sister Sledge"(WEA), "Jazmina"(Kult Records), "Adamski"(ZZt Records), George Morel (Groove On Records) and many others. In the summer 2005 Marco Sapiens released an awesome remix of Patrick Alavi "The End" under the alias of Mark Trade,an anthem for many important dance festivals: Creamfields, Godskitchen,Global Gathering (whom included that track in all their event compilations...), it also reached the N°1 in the UK BUZZ CHART. Antioco is an Italian producer of Sardinian origins based in the suburbs of Milan, passionate about music in all its forms, from electronic to classical music. At a young age he became struck by the sounds and emotions that came from listening to tapes of the best DJ sets in the Italian 90s club scene. Over time, these greatly influenced him and allowed his musical background and passion for analog instrumentation to grow. Together with an acute natural curiosity that distinguishes him, his passion pushed him to create a home recording studio filled with synths and drum machines, but never losing track of his main objective. Indeed, his first track entitled “Sexy Ann” - which was entirely written and produced together with his great friend Paolo "Discojuice" - was released in 2017 and included in “Discojuice EP” on the label Milano Underground Records. Julio da silva aKa J.D.S was Born in Brazil and grew up with music inside himself. At 6 years old Julio Rodrigues de Oliveira began his passion for music with piano and drums. at 12 years old he moved to Italy with his parents to find relatives. Over time his little knowledge becomes a passion, a passion for the thing he hated. The idea of having to be a musician forced by the mother of the boy was not in his plans.
Over time, however, he mades several experiments with different types of music. from metal to punk from rap to hiphop from techno to house music. At 16 he began his real passion that perhaps now has become even stronger. Influenced and haunted by the music of some DJ, he threw himself into the fray and decided to DJing. the beginning was a hobby for him but his real dream was to make it through to a professional level or at least try to become a DJ, producing their own songs and remixes. In Spring 2011 decided to get into the world of production. With commitment and hard work he buy his first DJ equipment. A Critical and proactive figure between past and future, Stefano is a perfect expression between mind and bodily grooves. He can be defined as a continuously changing vigourous mixture. A great lover of vinyl and analogue sound, he’s also a great collector and scrupolous researcher. Influenced by the sound of the greatest underground realities, from the Chicago Classic to the New York Deep, he made a desirable tour of the Motor City and then stages among the most deserving in Europe. Co founder and resident DJ of the musical platform Pinacoteca, he created a small jewel in the middle of Italy. Its large audience had the precious opportunity to listen to international charature sounds and frequencies from from the 2014 to the 2019. He’s been also the owner of the Eagle City Record Shop, a vinyl store in the center of L’Aquila, whose selection fitted perfectly with Stefano’s flavors. In those years he broadened his views and extended his contacts by entering into strong harmony with the various artists of the magnificent Bolognese panorama. In 2018 he created the booking and events agency FROM.TO with Dj Rou and Jimbo. The 2020 has been a very productive year for him, which gave birth to his new label RAILWAY MOVEMENT together with Tonino Marinelli (Saxophonist and Multi-instrumentalist) and TOFINO (Artist), a new and very interesting project. Italian Dj and producer, Francesco Valesani aka H.O.M aka Wide And Fat grew up within the Italian House Music. He began his musical journey when he was a boy, collecting House Music, Acid House, Deep House and Detroit House and Techno vinyls. These genres have always accompanied him and defined his way of seeing club music, as well as, influenced his studio productions. The artists who most strongly influenced his current work are Kerri Chandler and Masters at Work as he finds inspiration in their music. In 2006 he started a Dj residency at the Kinki in Bologna, until 2008, when he embraced the Black.Box project, an underground club, that playing an important role in his musical background, since he regularly contacted with Italian and international House Music scene main artists. In 2007 he start playing in the Romagna Riviera, in the summer, in clubs such as Echoes, Peter Pan and Prince. He has now residencies at some of the best clubs in his city (UsBar, Frankie, Oasi Beach Club) where he did the warm up for many major artists sets including, Derrick May, Marcellus Pittman, Robert Owens, Jimpster, Anane, DJEff, Honey Dijon, Sven Vath and many more. Gino Grasso is a long time collector, DJ and producer (one half of Italian producers, G&D with Dino Angioletti) who started buying records at 11 years old at the tail end of the 70′s when his uncle was working at an independent radio station in Italy. He soon fell in love with disco and boogie seeking out music that was generally off the radar of collectors at the time. He was lucky enough to land his first gigs at one of the premiere underground clubs in Italy, the Kinky Club in Bologna. He was part of the amazing Italian DJ crew Garage Paradise, alongside the like of Enrico Crivellaro aka Volcov, Luca Trevisi, Riccio and other good guys. He's been playing around international and Italian clubs for years, often in partnership with the good friend LTJ-Xperience whom he considers as a real master. For the 60th episode we Invite Michael Valentino AKA Mare Cosmico.
“Mare Cosmico” is the nickname Michael Valentino, young dj and producer.Born in Puglia, South of Italy, he approaches the electronic music playing the guitar bass and vintage keyboards. Moved to Milan he starts to collect and put on some old disco-funk vinyls and Balearic stuff. He found the “Lé Gent” project and thanks to it he obtains collaborations with realities of Milan like Santeria, Radio Raheem, Dude Club, Roots, Disco Safari and Reverso Festival, where he appears in line up with some big names of the caliber of Robotnick. In 2020 his first EP comes out and it was streamed among others in fm on Balamiii, a web radio station based in London. He get passionate more and more to boogie and nu disco sounds with the use of Italian classics and re-edit tracks. And so, with this focus, is born the collaboration with Disco Strummer for the “ITALOEXOTICA radio-show”, online once a month on MONDONERO . The project want to be a little vinyl only label too, for promote the made in Italy productions and restyle just the best from the good vibes only old Italian music. His story began in the early 2000's, when he started sharing the console with some of the most important international djs and legends like Marshall Jefferson, Todd Terry, Kerry Chandler, Glenn Underground, Kevin Saunderson, fathers of the old school american house music, going through people such as Raresh, Tini, Nina Kraviz, Paco Osuna, Martin Buttrich, Ryan Elliott, Delano Smith, Claudio Coccoluto, Luca Agnelli, Martinez Brothers, Davide Squillace, Gaiser, Matador, Ambivalent...Marcel Dettmann, Adam Beyer Karotte. Davide Del Vecchio is an artist without schemes, who do not like to be cataloged into a specific genre of music His style and career based on an attentive and accurate musical research don't follow any scheme or any particular genre, because, as he says "You don't judge the skills of a DJ according to the genre he proposes, but only according to the vibe he's able to create on the dancefloor, Promoter and creator of "Rehab", a group that has been bringing on lots of events since 2009, now using the Ribbon Club (Terracina, LT, Italy) as main base for its parties. Paolo Russi "Discojuice" is an Italian DJ / musician who began lighting up Milanese dancefloors in the early 2000s and in 2014 published his first tracks. As an avid collector of old and new vinyl music, his style is as varied as his taste in music. Rather than limiting himself to a certain sound, Discojuice ranges his DJ sets from Disco, Jazz, Funk, House to more electronic sounds. In June 2017 his first vinyl release Discojuice EP was released on Milano Underground Records. This varied musical background is reflected in his DJustgroove Studio productions where experimentation and creativity cannot hide his Jazz-Funk imprint. An example is the second Butterfly EP release which came out in May 2019 on the newly created label Flankup Recordings, founded with his best friend Francesco Bellini who is in charge of the technical aspect and the search for new talents. - More about Discojuice:

Italian-born but Berlin-based, Luca Bigote is a prolific DJ and the person behind Tiella Sound and Nostalgia Del Futuro. He is currently involved with multiple successful music projects, which include curating ritmo night in Berlin, FMUD summer parties in Italy and the event series Esperimenti. After being invited to contribute and showcase his strictly personal and eclectic music vision across several podcast channels and radio shows, between 2019 and 2020 he started hosting his own club-oriented Tiella Sound Radio Show, as well as the ambient-focused Nostalgia Del Futuro series on the Milan-based platform Mondonero, both hosting a guest-mix every month. Displaying an intent to never be pinned down by genres, his diverse sets are representative of all the experiences he accumulated over the years, that led him to share the dj booth with artists like Tornado Wallace, Patrice Scott, Fantastic Man, Rahaan and many more. Listening to music on a vast scale while living in some of the most trend-setting European capitals, he has enriched his background, resulting in a global journey into all the different shades of House music and beyond, including Electronica ambience and some Techno grooves — all wrapped up in a whimsical Balearic feel. This approach was clearly showcased in September 2019, when he played a 6-hour marathon set for the legendary Buttons party at about blank in Berlin. An enthusiastic lover and collector of vinyl, in 2016 Al became resident DJ at the infamous Milanese party - Vitamina and from that moment on started playing not only around Europe but also in USA, Guatemala, Japan and South Africa. When he bumped into James Brown’s “It’s a Mother”, he discover his own religion: Funk. Soon he became very fond of black music and started to build his own taste listening to Soul, Funk, R’n’B, Hip hop, Jazz and so on. SOULPUSHA spins records since he was 16 with curiosity and passion, working hard by a lot of clubs in northern Italy up to Ibiza. Due to the huge amount of music inside his head, he starts producing his own stuff, original tunes and some remixes (Jamiroquai, Jovanotti, MNEK). He signed for the labels Skip Intro Records, Furry Tea Cup Records and Aenaria Recordings, recording some good EPs. Some of his favorite Djs/producers are: Kerry Chandler, Little Louie Vega, Moodyman, Theo Parrish, Kenny “Dope” Gonzales, Black Coffee, Derrick May, Dj Harvey, Volcov. The project Gege & Virtual Boys start in 2010 when Andrea (Gege), Vincenzo and Mattia (VirtualBoys) start to play music in the clubs b2b2b. In the same year the 3 friends had a vision : a room in a old stable where play music, produce, spend some time together and why not… do some super private parties. Fattoapposta was born… and the rest is history. After some years Mattia left to move in another country but Andrea and Vincenzo keep the project alive. For the 43th episode we are super proud to present the Switzerland dj, producer and label owner Alex Attias.
Alex started his Djing career in 1988, Lausanne - Switzerland, playing a mixture of grooves in a small bar for friends and music lovers. Alex is a selector dj who can make people dance playing classics and rare tracks from soul to deep house , boogie to afrobeat , disco to Detroit sounds and jazz orientated grooves. Throughout the late 80's and early 90's, he established himself as one of Switzerland's top Dj's running his own successful weekly nights « The Jackal’s « , being booked to play all over the world, and in return booking International Dj's to play in Switzerland. Alex was also long-time collaborator for the magazine Vibrations, writing reviews and compiling their series of albums. By 1995, he was ready to break into Electronic music production and set up the Bel - Air Project, and began attracting attention with their first release "Magik". Bel-Air Project's next two releases became minor underground cult classics "Jazz with Altitude" and "Dark Jazzor" were both championed by the likes of 4 Hero, Gilles Peterson and Stacey Pullen. His discography includes singles for labels such as People, Ubiquity, Versatile, Neroli, Archive, Compost records as well as remixing Incognito, 4Hero, Ennio Morricone, Sun RA, Art Blakey, Roni Size, Laurent Garnier to name but a few. Very happy with his first steps into music, Alex’s dream came through when In 1997 he moved to England to pursue new musical projects, Mustang and Beatless the main sources of his creative output , plus a few sporadic collaborations: Plutonia with Dego from 4 Hero, Catalyst with Greg Boraman and Freedom Soundz with his brother Stephane ) Alex was so happy in London meeting key people like Enrico Crivellaro, Dego and Marc Mac, Phil Asher and Mike Slocombe whom made him join the Goya West London family. In 2000 he set up his own recording Studio and his label, Visions Inc. He played regularly with Phil Asher and Patrick Forge at their weekly night « Inspiration Information « and at the famous CoOp Sessions Plastic People. London was about connections and Paul Martin from Talkin Loud was one of them which leaded to a collaboration for the 1st Beatless album "Life Mirrors » released in October 2001 on the American label Ubiquity. After 8 years in London Producing records, travelling , deejaying and being a young dad, its only in 2004 that Alex has completed his first solo album under the Mustang moniker on Compost Records , just before returning to Switzerland. After a little break of about 3 years, Alex came back with various productions for Rush hour, Planet E, Mule records and a weekly saturday night radio show on the Swiss national channel Couleur 3, plus a regular Club night « LillyGood Party ! « inviting local and international djs. At the moment Alex is working on his new album and producing various singles for his label Visions Records, and with his brother Stephane they’ll be releasing a special serie of only vinyl singles of edits under the name of LillyGood Party ! Savio Buonomo or Wise Dj was born in the province of Naples (Italy) on 05/21/91. His connection with the house music was born at the age of 8 y.o listening to a tape of Joe Claussell playing jaydee - plastic dream. Thanks to his uncle he discovered the underground scene such as Masters at Work, Todd Terry, lil Louis, Frankie knuckles, Dj spen and so many other big djs of the global house scene. The first touch of a vinyl dates back to the age of 12, where, from there he began to understand the system and the foundations of the mix. By growing up he followed also different shades such as minimal, techno and tech house, but what gave him the real excitement is the house music. In 2014 he released his first EP called "Clave" working with his mentor Ferdinando de Micco. From there gradually he begins also to become a dj producer, always trying to establish himself as a well-known DJs in this music scene

Relative is the alias of Simone Guerra, a multifaceted DJ/producer, label and record store co-owner from the east coast of Italy. As one half of the Flexi record store (and the man behind its affiliated label, Flexi Cuts), Simone occupies an enviable position among his country’s true music aficionados. While the label tends to adhere to an electronic music policy, the store is as eclectic as they come, housing everything from house to disco to soul to acid-jazz, as well as an extensive second-hand vinyl collection. Indeed, Simone comes from a family steeped in musical tradition. His father Lorenzo first opened Flexi Dischi (‘dischi’ meaning “records” in Italian) in 1984, and as soon as his son was bitten by the music bug it was a path he always seemed destined to follow. With his father a celebrated DJ during Italy’s disco era, Simone grew up in a house that truly embraced all types of music. Occupying a front-row seat during an especially eclectic and dizzying diverse period in his country’s musical history - it’s perhaps no real surprise that Simone would later follow in his father’s footsteps. As the music business changed over the years, Flexi’s business was forced to adapt, but the business has never lost sight of its identity or reason for being. Now helmed by both Lorenzo and Simone, the store retains its its vinyl spirit, offering music consultancy for a small but dedicated group of local musical diggers. In 2015, the Flexi Cuts label was born, Simone’s main outlet for his own spirited sound, as well as a expertly chosen up-and-comers. Always pushing good vibes and sounds, the label continues to go from strength-to-strength with each passing release. “Flexi Cuts might have started out as a bit of fun, but now it’s very much my pride and joy”, says Simone. “And with so many talented people involved, it’s been a blast so far!” From his Relative studio, complete with dusty synths, messy cable and old samplers, Simone has also produced music that has landed on legendary labels such as King Street and Salted Music, as well as the likes of Two House Records, Trend and Dusky Adriatic. An active DJ on the local circuit as well as a passionate digger, he has also thrown it down with some of his country’s most noteworthy names. We are super proud to present the Croatian artist Andrej Lasić aka Laseech for our 23th episode.
With releases on Lumberjacks In Hell, Red Ember Records and many more, Laseech is considerate to be one of finest Croatian artists from the new generation. His fine music selection soon established his status on the eclectic and soulful house music scene. Laseech started collecting records at young age and soon after his talent for music selection and DJing were noticed on the local scene. More intrigued with organic dance music he started producing and in 2018 he released his first vinyl single "Remember" on Australian deep house imprint Red Ember Records and singed his first remix for Jan Kincl & Regis Kattie’s song “Florette” on PDV records which was nominated for the “Remix of the year” award on the “Ambasador” awards. In the beginning of 2019 he signed his first vinyl solo EP with the talented singer Jasmina Makota, “Can’t Get This Feeling” EP was released on Italian BeYourself Recordings. Later that year he signed another 12" on Italian imprint Sound Exhibitions Records, "Tonight" EP was produced in collaboration with talented piano player Toni Mohorovic. The start of 2020. brings him his big debut release on well-known Lumberjacks In Hell, "More Than Friends" EP features Detroit's finest Javonntte on vocals and label boss Marcel Vogel on remixing duties. Release was huge success, charting no.1 bestseller in House music on Juno. His work is supported and played by world known artists such as Danny Krivit, Antal, The Black Madonna, Horse Meat Disco, Soul Clap, Kai Alce, Chez Damier, Scott Grooves, Mark Grusane and many more which soon established his status on the eclectic and soulful house music scene. Davide Menon Born in Correggio in 1989 and since he was a child he has a passion for music: he records music videos of favorite songs on MTV with VHS, then starts to buy the first single CDs and finally at 15 he discovers electronic music by attending some clubs in the area. It's there that the passion for djing was born. Being still young, he uses all the energy and efforts to buy 2 turntables and a mixer: from here he will start his career totally self-taught. In 2007 he made his debut as a DJ at Duende di Carpi and became resident for the following 2 years. In the following years he plays in the best clubs in Modena (Vox, Scuderie, Jam), on the Riviera Romagnola (Baia Imperiale, Echoes) and Desenzano del Garda (Mazoom le Plaisir). To increase his skills also in the field of music production, he started studying piano in 2010 and the following year he attended the "Electronic Music Production" course at the SAE INSTITUTE in Milan, obtaining the diploma. He has his own studio with a large collection of records that he enriches more and more with time and passion. Umberto is born and based in Bologna. Still very young, his first approaches to electronic music date to Echoes Club (Cattolica) and Circoloco at DC10 (Ibiza). Fascinated by these experiences, from music to feelings, he started his own path collecting hypnotizing and rare records. Some years after, he founded 320KB Music, an independent music label which was immediately supported worldwide by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Zip and Dorian Paic. He’s also one half of NUDGE with his friend DJ P!sta. The duo played at renowned clubs like Club der Visionaere, Goa Club in Rome or the mighty Veniceberg. Umberto is a real musician, releasing also some Hip Hop music as Dumbo Beat, showing continuously his skills as lyricist and song writer.

After the most disparate experiences around the best clubs in Europe, together with his crew, he finally creates a format for organising unconventional and out-of-the-box events, born from the need to express his vision of clubbing and to give third parties the opportunity to perform, with the aim of alleviating the increasingly progressive annihilation of the scene in Modena. It offers multiple sounds within the international electronic sphere, but the real vein follows what was the first house of the early 90s and its infinite facets.

In the same year the 3 friends had a vision : a room in a old stable where play music, produce, spend some time together and why not… do some super private parties. Fattoapposta was born… and the rest is history. After some years Mattia left to move in another country but Andrea and Vincenzo keep the project alive. Francesco collects vinyl records, from his young age. Begins to mix discs in clubs at 17 years. From countless hours spent on the dance floors in Reggio Emilia in its most famous clubs such as Maffia and Adrenaline, as for Parma with Eden Club up to the Italian amusement mecca, Riccione, with the very famous Cocoricò, Prince, Echoes, Francesco develops his taste music that soon led him to collaborate with many of the above-mentioned clubs, up to the Roman console of the Goa Club & Gay Village. This led to the collaboration with the SUPERSTAR event of the Sali & Tabacchi club.
