Speaking of rockets… NPR’s new kid’s podcast is terrific. Guy and Mindy’s energy is infectious (good-infectious).
I just picked one of the most recent episodes because they’re all exemplary.
An episode I would have singled out (were it not too old) is from July 5th, 2011 – it’s an interview with an author of a book about Gene Autry, the singing cowboy. That interview discusses Autry’s old radio and tv serials, and was a direct inspiration for me attempting a serial podcast.
This is really a repackaging of The Firesign Theatre’s albums, but if it can introduce anyone to them, so be it.
Polly and Andrew blend music and recordings into new, seamless creations. It’s so much fun – for kids and parents.
