I discovered Kendal from my friend and social media personality, George Wacker, who is known as Lehigh Valley With Love....once I went exploring Kendal's music I was in love with her voice and her Martin guitar! I reached out to her and asked if she could come on the show and tell the world her story! She has the most amazing personality, voice, and love for what she does!
Kendal Conrad has such an extensive list of remarkable and outstanding performances, but the highlight really is when she performed and sang a duet with Keith Urban on stage in Bethlehem's Musicfest singing "We Were Us" as part of the Raise 'Em Up Tour and it is said this is one Keith Urban's favorite tour moments!
She also joined Walker Hayes onstage to perform "Halloween" for 92.5 XTU's Ski Day at Jack Frost Big Boulder. Kendal is also International Miss Talent and won the title with her original song "Girlstrong." She has performed at the White House, Wells Fargo Center, Sands Casino, Six Flags, Hersheypark, the Bitter End, Musikfest, and the Susquehanna Bank Center for 92.5 XTU's anniversary party. Kendal has sung the National Anthem for MLB, NBA, MMA, NASCAR, and NBC’s National Dog Show. She was a finalist in the NBC 10 Talent Search and a finalist in the Colgate Country Showdown. Kendal was the 2015 Country Showdown Winner for Philadelphia's 92.5 XTU. She has opened for country artists Blake Shelton, Charlie Daniels Band, Devin Dawson, Drew Baldridge, Alabama, Walker Hayes, Hunter Hayes, Brandon Lay, Carter Winter, Sara Evans, Tucker Beathard, Jerrod Niemann, Michael Ray, Thompson Square, Parmalee, Dylan Schneider, Diamond Rio, Kane Brown, Granger Smith, Phil Vassar, Craig Morgan, Rodney Atkins, Easton Corbin, Trailer Choir, Maggie Rose, Craig Campbell, Mo Pitney, Striking Matches, Old Dominion, Outshyne, Chris Cagle, and The Cadillac Three and performed personally for author Nicholas Sparks. She has played the Dick's Sporting Goods Open, the Foundry at the Fillmore, iPlay America, Jenks Club, Prospector's Saloon, One Centre Square, Sherman Theater, Sellersville Theatre, Provident Bank Park, PPL Center, Wayne County Fair, PGA Concert at the Bogey, and the Santander Arena. Kendal was an extra in the film Silver Linings Playbook where she can be seen bumping into Bradley Cooper. She starred as Holly Golightly in the exclusive post-Broadway production of Breakfast at Tiffany's at the Civic Theatre of Allentown. Kendal recorded her first EP in country star Reba McEntire’s studio in Nashville.
But my favorite part about Kendal is her sincere love of music and her love of the Martin guitar she plays...and I had the honor to chat with her and who she is on my podcast...her laugh and love are truly addicting and I hope you enjoy her chat as much as I did!!

Bucks County Bytes brings to you photographer Jeff Weiser and the story behind his love of photography and The Iron Triangle. I have always been in love with the camera and capturing the moments of places, people, and landscapes, and Jeff's images lure me to who is behind the camera and the stunning landscapes that he captures, but it the people's faces that fascinate me. A face has mystery, a story, as the eyes and expression are beyond what words can sometimes measure.
Listen in as Jeff Weiser talks about who he is, how it started, and tells us about the Iron Triangle...a place I never knew existed until now. Let the story capture your imagination of what life is like in a place that New York tends to forget about.
The Iron Triangle is also known as the Valley of Ashes from The Great Gatsby. The Iron Triangle is encompassed in acres of auto repair shops, salvage yards, and abandoned stolen cars that have been picked clean. This is the gray and dirty part of Queens that you drive through to get from Long Island to NYC. Jeff says that people in the photos that he captured enjoyed having their pictures taken and took the time to talk and tell him a bit about their lives. They know him as “the guy with the camera”. Jeff does make a point of returning and giving them copies of their photos. We definitely had a great talk on the podcast as I was intrigued by his ability to be in The Iron Triangle and capture these moments...
The podcast cover is "Javier's Yard" and is currently featured in Black & White Magazine at the time of the interview. It also won in the photo contest "Looking Back Looking Forward" as it is a part of a series that Jeff has been working on for the past year, Faces of the Iron Triangle. And Robyn happened to be going through her own difficulties with her Luigi...it just so happened that we were dealing with such a 24/7 care of our furry friends during the same time. My loss was first, and she followed not long behind me. Bucks County Bytes brings to Bucks County a little laid back LA/San Fran music from the musician and songwriter DKupe. David Kuperman, DKupe, is a laid back easy to listen to and feel the energetic vibes recording artist, guitarist, and songwriter who has lived in California his whole life. Originating from San Francisco and recently just moved to LA a couple of years ago, DKupe has embraced the music scene his whole life.
I wanted to bring to Bucks County a little California sunshine and beautiful vibes from this aspiring musician....and if you listen close enough, at 3.5 minutes you will hear songbirds in the background of his interview. I know I did, and it was the most relaxed interview to date. It's the sun, weather, and California vibe that we all love. Especially for so many that are not traveling, I thought why not bring some California vibes to Bucks County?

Ed has always been my mentor as far as making one push the limit. I love using the app as it gives me the incentive to keep pushing every day, no matter what, to make sure I move. Ed would be up early in the am, out walking Ryder his beautiful dog, biking for many many miles, and just logging in multiple workouts a day. It's the motivational spirit that he has to give everyone, as he just pushes you to get out the door seeing those rides, walks, and keeping everything in such a positive spirit.
There were many years in there that I didn't log any workouts as there were some difficult years and I now realize that no matter what the situation, or age, or condition one is in, fitness is a must.
I asked Ed onto my podcast as he has the gift of fitness to share with many. Ed is a senior, but you wouldn't know it as his mindset is strong and he is a very wise and knowledgeable man who has known workouts his whole life. You could say Ed was a trendsetter, as he was a long-distance runner way back in the '70s before there was such a thing called bottled water and hydration packets. He is authentic, original, spiritual, and has healed himself by fitness and much more.

Bucks County Bytes is proud to bring you Emily Ford and her companion Diggins right from Wisconsin's historic Ice Age Trail- 1200 miles of trailblazing in the middle of winter! Yes, Emily Ford and Diggins are taking on an adventure in the middle of this cold winter to conquer the famed Ice Age Trail. I was privileged to have Emily speak right after her trailblazing for the day, and you can count about 3 months of this trailblazing as she's averaging about 20 miles a day, 100-mile weeks with a 60 lbs backpack. And Diggins is packing her own too! Inspirational!! Exciting! Powerful!
Emily spoke to me as she was in her tent, getting comfortable to settle in for the night with her companion Diggins, an Alaskan Husky, who has joined her on this long journey through the middle of a Wisconsin winter.
Emily is making history, as she will be the only woman to conquer the Ice Age Trail in a winter walkthrough. Only one other individual has successfully completed this which was in 2017.
Not only is Emily paving the way for other women to seek adventure, hiking, walking, backpacking, and trailblazing, but for other black women to get outdoors and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us. Bucks County Bytes is back from a short hiatus of podcasting due to my loss of Herkales and Sam over the Christmas and New Year's holiday. It was the devastating year of 2020 and to end my story, I am here to tell you a recap of 2020 with my sad end of 2020.
This is a story of the unconditional love of two English Labs named Herkales and Sam.
The full story of their lives will be told in an upcoming book that will be available on Amazon. A children's version will be available, as well as audio, ebook, and multiple languages.

What was it like flying when the pandemic first hit the US? What were the thoughts of the crew? Pilots, flight attendants, airport crew, and so much more. What was it like to be an expected mother knowing you were flying during a pandemic?

As I traveled United Airlines and thought about what it was like to be the person who helped those passengers during the early Covid days, I thought to myself how this virus could spread so fast and wanted to talk to someone who first hand experienced being an employee of any airline. I remember talking with the attendants, and at that time no masks were worn...not yet.
So here we have a candid interview with Elizabeth, who I met through my LinkedIn network, and really pours her emotion into what it was like then and what it is like in recent weeks as we all get through this new world...our "new normal".

Laura has held multiple positions at Harvard Art Museum, Princeton University Art Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Science History Institute of Philadelphia. Laura graduated with a Ph.D. in art history from Temple University and her research has been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the American Council of Learned Societies, the Henry Luce Foundation, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum among many other institutions.

Meet Joe Mattern, co-founder, and CEO of aeroG Aviation, and Barbara Christie, one of the first female heli pilots in Bucks County going back many years ago, when it wasn't' tradition to be a female pilot.
Joe's story is great to listen to, as he met Barbara Christie when he was just a young boy, fell in love with aviation, and started to take flying lessons because that one meeting with Barb Christie made an impact for the rest of his life.
Not only did Barb make a difference, but so did his instructor at Turner Airfield. Yes, Turner Airfield, the historic airstrip that once was in Montgomery County near Ambler, and not too far from Horsham and Willow Grove. Although no longer there, I was able to pull up a ton of history on it. Joe took lessons there from a man named Rich, another influence on his life. And if you listen to this podcast, all the way to the end, you'll find out how small our world is. Joe, Barb, and I love aviation. And this story has a great feel as well as Joe having outstanding knowledge, aviation connections, and a great company that he is proud of...all because he met Barb Christie all those many years ago.

I was fortunate to meet and speak with Maria Nappi, the daughter of Mike and Frances Grispino, the wonderful family of Altomonte's. In our podcast, we feel their love, emotion, connection to family, and traditions. Maria and I cried and laughed and felt the love and passion of Mike and Frances who came from Altomonte, located in the heart of Calabria located in southern Italy. We hear about how it all started from the beginning and through the covid crisis.
This is the first time that Altomonte's is on a podcast where Maria Nappi gets to speak of her wonderful family, traditions, the holidays, the pandemic, and her father Mike's passing in January 2020.

Bucks County Bytes honored Veteran's Day, November 11, 2020 - Quent Brown and I were able to have a chat before the 11th but were unable to do the show until right after November 11th due to my dog Herakles. I am fortunate to know this very compassionate and talented individual that served in the Air Force. Thank you for your service Quent, or should I say "Q"...it was an honor to speak with him and learn so much about his life over the years.
Q talks about the Air Force, his family connections, the challenges that he has faced and what he has learned from them, and how you too, can learn that we will get through all the challenges and fears that we all face in life. Q survived and has gone on to capture the essence of what he sees behind the lens of a camera. His photographs are beautiful and he is passionate about what he does, and what he talks about. A true connection to our world in conversation and in his photo adventures. I've convinced him to make a page for the world to see, which I will provide a link here in his podcast.
Q, we thank you for all you do and for what is yet to come. I hope you will publish a book of your photography through Shutterfly or Blurb. It will be time well spent to have the world see you what you see.....

Meet my friend Shannon and her daughter, Shauna. Friends for over 20 years. I've seen the worst of the worst. The lowest of rock bottom and trying all those years to help her. Guide her. Support her. Shauna was there during every step of the way. No one saw what was coming. How Shannon toughed it out. How she fought through the addiction. Through the rehab. And to come out Shining....a new life, a new world, and to talk about it. This is the first time that she could come forward with what happened and how she fought back to come out and be successful at her new business. A business that she pours her heart and soul into. About To Shine is her love, her life, and now she speaks her words to help others fight the addictions. The rock bottom pit of hell. The recovery process. Just a few minutes to express my feelings as Herkales is taking a difficult decline. It's been a fantastic 13 years with my Herakles. Much care as to carrying him and out of the house, holding him up so he can do his doggy business. I am here to express my feelings some before we start our interviews next week. Some great guests coming on board, and at the same time, my heart aches as Herkales' health declines. Hope Bucks County and our surrounding counties are having a great weekend!
