A hoarder of thoughts and feelings learned what a podcast was and got a hold of a microphone. Thus, A Welcome Rarity Podcast was born.
Once again, starting is the hardest part but I will say it got easier. It just took close to a year... This season is going to be about support systems. In the past, I've overlooked how others teach us how to love ourselves. I'm welcoming myself back to the podcast just as much as I'm welcoming back returning listeners. We're starting this season with less self-judgment and more doing whatever feels right.

When something new begins, it isn't always that pretty. In fact, it might be really awkward and uncomfortable. I feel like I'm entering a new phase of my life but instead of feeling empowered and excited, I'm feeling tired and stagnant. So let's talk about that.
This will be my last episode for a while. I'm going to take a break and just go through the awkward transitionary period I talked about in this episode! Hopefully, when I come back, I'll be rejuvenated.

With the recent passing of Chadwick Boseman, I wanted to remind others that it's okay to mourn the death of a celebrity. It is okay to grieve the loss of someone you never knew. Additionally, it's valid to admire celebrities and learn from their vulnerability and honesty.

Thinking of yourself when a love song comes on, taking yourself out, getting to know yourself. You do these things when trying to find a partner, why not do it with yourself, your actual life partner.
