Regardless of where the scene may be heading, Cakeboy has continued to produce & deliver music his way, with the emphasis on fun & with a very definite 'F**k you if you're too cool to smile' sensibility. With releases on Mutate, Rocstar & most recently Dirty Lemon he continues to build new audiences globaly and when playing out, proudly packs in oodles of his own material amidst bass music old & new, cheeky bootlegs, live samples and lots of on-the-fly trickery.
A mash-up remix Cakeboy style of classic rock tune My Sherona by THE KNACK & Da Da Da by German one hit wonders TRIO. Written back in the early 00's and performed as the last tune of Cakeboy's live set for many Years, simply because it caused a frenzy on the floor. Now remastered and free to download.. just for the fun!

This Cakeboy rebake of the Chems new single, unlike many bootlegs out there, is not a 'knocked out in 5 mins' job, but respectfully re-worked to provide a solid breakbeat version for DJs with great care taken in retaining the sonic quality of the original.
