This week we have an incredible man of God, evangelist Slavik Radchuk, sharing a word with us.
As we launch into fall, as a church, we reflected on what our mission and purpose is, and what we want to focus on, going into FALL 2019!
As we near the end of our sermon series, Pastor Eric dives into Act 10 & 11, talking about who are we to stand in the way of what God is doing.
As a church and a people of God, we can either follow voices of condemnation, comparison or pride, or we can be a new creation, and be led by the Holy Spirit and His signs and wonders following, just like the New Testament Church!
In the New Testament, one of the most common way the apostles and leaders referred to themselves and other believers was “servants.” Servanthood is God’s call for every believer; it is the way God does His work on earth; it is what leads us to spiritual growth and it is the purpose of Spiritual Gifts! Listen to this message to be inspired to serve, and find out areas where you can step in and serve at CityHill Northshore!
This Sunday, Pastor Vadim speaks on the key influences that shape who we are today. He focuses on our friendships, our community, and the unity between us all.
When Jesus first called His followers, He told them He would teach them how to “fish” for people. Then He told them He would give them His Holy Spirit to have the power to share His message of Good News about God’s love and forgiveness for those who repent from their sin and turn to God for salvation. In the Book of Acts, we see many examples of the Holy Spirit MAKING opportunities for His followers to share the Gospel, and His followers learning to boldly TAKE those opportunities.
For us today, the Holy Spirit desires to reach other people through us with the power of the Gospel. It is up to us to take those opportunities.
In this message, we continue diving into the Book of Acts and how the early church treated scriptures.
We look to the early church as a model for what it looks like for the people of God to be living out the New Covenant. One of the areas we want to look into: how did the early church pray? Listen to this message on what we can observe!
Acts 3:19 tells us that revival follows repentance: turning from sin and turning to God. Conviction of sin is what Holy Spirit uses to lead us to repentance. We tend to love the results of revival, but we also tend to avoid conviction of sin in our lives. If we are convicted of sin, we can be sure that it is an indication that God desires to lead us into freedom, victory, and revival. May we be open to the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit to convict us of sin, bring us to repentance, and lead us into revival.
The first century church much like us had to face fear and choose to be courageous. They became the unstoppable church. In this message we explore What your life would look like if you weren’t afraid.
Every church and every Christian has failed, is failing in some area, and will fail at some point in the future! In Acts, Dr. Luke shows the New Testament church making a mistake, owning up to it, and making necessary changes to move forward. As believers, in our marriages, the church, and our communities, we must be open to constructive criticism, allow for complaints or issues to be brought up, and must be willing to make changes to resolve issues.
Some dads father by accident; others on purpose. It’s impossible to become a great dad in 30 mins or less, but fathering intentionally, making small investments of time over the course of years, is what makes a great father. Pastor Eric gives practical ways to do just that...
Why is God known as a consuming fire? What can we learn from a fire that speaks to the attributes of God?
Salvation gives us peace with God and the peace of God. But the Christian life is impossible without the Power of the Holy Spirit. In the is message we get to know who the Holy Spirit is, and what His purpose is in our lives.
In this message, we get an overview of the people, men and women, whom God used to reach the cities of that time.
When the Holy Spirit came to live inside the followers of Jesus, they were marked by certain values described in Acts 2:42-47. The people devoted themselves to God’s Word, close fellowship, prayer, worship, and mission. They learned to love others as Jesus loved them and gave His life up for them. This is the Holy Spirit-community of believers we are called to be!

We can easily misplace our worship into our bodies, materialism, religion, and community.
