Lorna Byrne is an international number 1 bestselling author (her last two books have gone straight in at #1 on the UK Sunday Times Chart) with more than a million readers around the world. Her books, Angels in my Hair, Stairways to Heaven, A Message of Hope from the Angels and Love from Heaven have been translated into 30 languages.
Lorna has been seeing angels since she was a baby. Very unusually, she sees angels physically with as much clarity as the rest of us see people and she sees them every day. This diminutive, soft-spoken, uneducated Irish woman who did not talk about what she was seeing until seven years ago, says she has no idea why she can see angels when others can't, adding that she is just an ordinary person. lornabyrne.com/

Happily Ever After… and 39 Other Myths about Love: Breaking Through to the Relationship of Your Dreams with Linda and Charlie Bloom
According to married couple and bestselling authors Linda and Charlie Bloom, it’s not so much the things we don’t know about relationships that can hurt us but rather the things we THINK WE KNOW. These myths, from “they lived happily ever after” to “love means never to having to say you’re sorry” to “once a cheater, always a cheater,” permeate our culture and take root in our minds, preventing many couples from doing the work required to build a good, lasting relationship.
Join us as we explore these myths together and talk about how you can recognize and be free from the limits of these beliefs.

Melba Tolliver knows a thing or two about African-American firsts. She was the first black person ever to anchor a network news program. The year was Marchl of 1967, and the news staff at ABC network was on strike. Network executives drafted Melba as the replacement on the Marlene Sanders show News With The Womans Touch. That was just the beginning of a long list of firsts for Melba Tolliver.
It was also the beginning a illustrious career in broadcast journalism. Four years after her career launch as the accidental anchorwoman, Melba was assigned to cover the White House Rose Garden Wedding of Tricia Nixon. However, when she showed up in Washington, D.C. with her hair in an Afro instead of her usual straightened style, the brass as WABC temporarily took her off the air. It was time when African Americans were redefining who they were, and Melbas hairdo was another turning point.
Never one to knowingly leave a stone unturned or an opportunity on the table, thats Melba's voice you hear on Gimme Me Shelter, the Rolling Stones documentary drawing a hilarious response from Mick Jagger when she posed the question, Are you satisfied yet?
Melba is writing a memoir from her home on the Delaware River, appropriately titled Accidental Anchorwoman: Choice, Chance, and Change.
An honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Molloy College, Long Island, NY; a political reporting award from Lincoln University; a Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York Association of Black Journalists, the John B. Russwurm Award from the New York City Urban League, the Matrix Award from New York Women in Communications, and a National Endowment of the Humanities Fellowship to the University of Michigan are among her many honors.

Free Your Genius and the Ideas Will Follow. When it comes to creating ideas, we hold ourselves back. That’s because inside each of us is an internal editor whose job is to forever polish our thoughts, so we sound smart and in control, and so that we fit into society.
Problems arise, though, when we encounter problems where such inflexible thinking fails us. How to get unstuck?
For Mark Levy, the answer is freewriting, a technique he’s used for years to solve all types of business problems, and generate ideas for books, articles and blog posts.
Mark Levy is the founder of Levy Innovation (http://www.levyinnovation.com), a marketing strategy firm that helps entrepreneurial companies increase their fees by up to 2,000%. David Meerman Scott calls him “a positioning guru extraordinaire.” Fast Company Expert Blogger, Cali Yost, says “Mark helped me rethink my entire business in a day. He’s a miracle worker.”

Healthcare Reform.
If you are like me sorting out the good from the bad in the current Healthcare bill has been a monumental challenge. Karoli joins Wild Woman Network to help us clarify where we are now with the bill and what we should and could look for in the future.
Now that health care access is about to be a reality for everyone after nearly 100 years of effort, the insurance industry has ramped up the noise machine, while many liberals are disappointed in the compromises it took to come to the final vote last week.
This battle was only about one issue: pre-existing conditions. Karoli argues for why compromise was necessary, and why winning this battle paves the way for a more perfect system with either a public option or a single-payer floor as the next step.
Karoli is a blogger, semi-retired retirement plan consultant and community manager for online communities. She was one of the original team members for CNN Interactive's online community through 2001, spent 8 years with WebMD in their health communities and building their health professional blog network. She currently freelances while blogging passionately about health care reform, politics, and the 'fierce urgency of now'. She blogs at odd time signatures and US Health Crisis in addition to guest posts on Crooks and Liars.
She lives in Southern California with her husband, 2 children, but she's really a slave to her pug.

Those thousands of solo professionals who have developed thriving businesses. They don’t think of themselves as “starving artists.” In fact, they’re living proof that you can have it all… a high income, great flexibility and a fulfilling life. It’s not a tradeoff.

Blair Steelman weaves an inviting tale that does a magnificent job in answering the question: “what” to do. His work comes from his own powerful search: “All I knew was that I couldn’t continue to live my life feeling the way I did. I had to do something about it. The question was, “what?”
"....There is one important point to remember. No writer, sage, guru or teacher can provide more insight into our lives than we can for ourselves when we begin to tap into the limitless resources of our own inner depths. Moreover, life, true, abundant, profoundly fulfilling life, does not begin until we come to this realization and take the steps to awaken to the persons we really are and transform our potential into our reality."
Producer and TV interviewer, Phyllis Haynes writes: “Blair Steelman is a gifted thinker and writer. His ideas come from a life lived fully…not from a pristine mountain top.”
Blair Steelman has spent a lifetime in leadership positions; first, as a pilot in the Air Force leading crews into combat in Vietnam where he flew more than 100 combat missions, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and three Air Medals; earning a degree in Philosophy from Ohio Dominican College and doing graduate work in Business at Ball State. Blair went on to build a successful career in Sales and Management, and has helped others achieve their dreams and goals through seminars and workshops he has developed.

Retta Blaney, author of Working on the Inside: The Spiritual Life through the Eyes of Actors is a theatre and religion writer in Manhattan. Her work has appeared in the Washington Post, New York Newsday, National Catholic Reporter, The Jewish Week, The Living Church, American Theatre, Back Stage, and other publications.
Stage and screen actors form unique relationships with their audiences. Through their work, they challenge, teach, and inspire us by shedding light in all corners of life and connecting with us through our senses and emotions. Working on the Inside goes backstage into the inner lives of respected actors like Liam Neeson, Vanessa Williams, Phylicia Rashad, Edward Herrmann, Kristin Chenoweth and many others to reveal the deep spirituality each one relies on in their lives and work. The result is a book like no other that draws ten key elements of the universal spiritual life from the perspective of actors whose work it is to tap into the essence of life, tell stories, and reveal life's truths.
Retta Blaney, an award-winning journalist now specializing in theatre and religion, was inspired to write this book by the spiritual wisdom actors conveyed in their interviews with her over the years. She dared to ask actors questions few ever do--How does your spirituality influence your life and work? How do you pray? What do you pray for? How do you stay centered in a career with so much uncertainty? And they answered her, readily sharing experiences of faith, being in the moment, listening, silence, prayer, self-knowledge, community, hospitality, ritual and transformation. The result is a book that takes readers into the private thoughts of some of their favorite actors for inspiring tips on how they, too, can begin working on the inside.
