1 Timothy 6:17 Security in money is a constant battle in thelife of every Christian. We want to help ourpeople win this “security battle” and anchortheir whole lives on God and His promises.
We want our people to be able to discern between greed and contentment. And in doing so, they will be able to pursue God and what matters to Him.
We are able to endure, persevere, and overcome all things in this life because of a heavenly vision of the New Jerusalem. We are just pilgrims here on earth because our true home is the city in heaven whose architect and builder is God.
Shame as a result of sin pushes us to cover up and not take hold of the identity and calling that God has for us. But trusting in Jesus' finished work on the cross removes shame and enables us to live our lives for God.
Guilt as a result of sin pushes us to justify our existence with accomplishments and good works. But Jesus' death on the cross removes our guilt and makes us justified. It puts us in a right standing with God.
Fear as a result of sin pushes us to run away, and hide from God. But Jesus' perfect love drives out all fear and enables us to receive God's love freely.
We are the net that Jesus uses to gather all kinds of fish as we allow ourselves to be mended and crossed together.Passage: Matthew 13:47-50
