We are excited to share the stories of what God is doing in and through the lives of those at RISING Church. We hope these stories will inspire, challenge, encourage and push you to what God may have and want for you.
We had the chance to create an event where we brought our international missions partners to church and gave them the opportunity to share their vision and mission with the greater church body. It was such a blessing to have these 'workers' in the same room with us, sharing what God has called them to do.
This summer we headed to Washington DC on our missions encounter for students. We had the chance to sit down with Maverick and Andy to talk about their experience.
At RISING we are very invested in what happens around the world as well as right here in our back yard. This episode we had the chance to sit down with Katie Hove and member and partner here at RISING and talk about the Path Project. This is a ministry started in Buford by Katie after it's been in Georgia for a few years now. I trust this conversation is encouraging to you as it's been to me.
In May this year we sat down with Mike during the Memorial Day service and he mentioned the idea of prevenient grace and how it's played out in his life since the 1970's. You'll hear about near death experiences, skydiving, motor cycles and semi-trucks. This is really going to bless your day as you hear Mike's story.
Financial Peace University has been a classroom setting opportunity created by Dave Ramsey with the primary goal of giving people financial freedom in their lives. We offered this class at RISING Church in late spring of 2018 and we have the chance to hear the impact this class has had as we talk to David and Tommy. We hope you enjoy this podcast episode.
In early June RISING Students took a team of rising 7th and 8th graders to Bayou La Batre on a missions encounter. They had the chance to serve with each other along with YouthWorks by painting home, leading kid's club and lots more. Katie and Coco take a few minutes to share their experience with us.
Chris is a good friend and great servant as he serves in the Europe, Africa and the Middle East. This is a great opportunity to get to know Chris a little more and understand what he's doing to serve others.
We had the chance to share some thoughts and ideas for the next few months at this special meeting called by the elders at RISING Church.

As many of you may know we just had a team return from an experience in Israel and unlike years past, we are looking forward to what we may do now to make it possible for anyone interested in going in 2020.

Our hope and our goal is to return to Israel in 2020 and create another opportunity for people to visit the Holy Lands. We'll have an important information meeting on May 6th right after the service.
