Breaking the Curse of Illegitimacy
Apostle Malik Edwards
• “We need community”
• “God has called us to be part of something that is bigger than ourselves”
• God wants us to live a life unbroken
• We want to break the curses, so we can come into the fullness of the blessings that God has for us
• The curse of illegitimacy is the failure to connect in community because of a sense of rejection
• In this season, God is not only breaking something off of you, but He is putting something on you
• “God has to get some things off of you, so He can put some things on you”
• The curse of illegitimacy will cause you to feel like an outcast and illegal. It will keep you out of community and real relationships
• Three different areas where the curse operates: generationally,
• “The curse cannot be broken until it’s broken”
• “The forever of the old testament becomes the never of the new testament by the blood of Jesus” - Bob Larson

This week Pastor Malik teaches us how God has designed us to win, but to achieve it we need to defeat the biggest contenders of ourselves: The Rivals of Me! The me I pretend to be, the me I think I should be, the me other people want me to be, the me I'm afraid God wants me to be, and the me I fail to be. God is saying he wants you to win win win and become "the me I'm meant to be!"

Pastor Malik continues on the series "The Sound" by tying in the power of the prophetic voice. The prophetic is not limited by facts or circumstance, rather it creates and declares the end result. It can navigate through what is being said, discern the enemy's intentions, and then declare and move in God's purpose regardless of the atmosphere. We don't need to wait to see what happens, we can sow it through the prophetic!

Pastor Malik continues from last week's message "The Sound" with the next steps to revival through God's people. After personal revival comes the sound of unity. Just like at pentecost, we must join together with one sound to call forth revival. We can't bring change if we're not changed, and we can't bring unity if we are not unified. When the people of God come together in unity, we create an atmosphere of suddenly.

Pastor Malik begins the service by relaying some incredible testimonies from his trip to India, including several deaf ears healed! Then he goes into the sermon, and begins to talk about the Ark of the Covenant and Uzzah. He explains that the Ark of the Covenant slipped, and that Uzzah reached out his hand and stopped the Ark from falling off. He touched the Ark, and then God killed him for violating the sacred law that had been put in place. Pastor Malik describes the importance of what happened, and explains that we can’t do what is right in our own eyes; that we have to do what is right in God’s eyes. He concludes with a prayer: ‘Not my way, but Yahweh.’

Pastor Ashley continues from Pastor Malik sermon on the importance of a presence-driven lifestyle. She explains the importance of God’s presence above all else, driving home the need for creating a place in your heart for the Holy Spirit to rest. Going further, she gives an example of one of the main hindrances of the presence; pride. If pride becomes active in the room, God’s presence will lift almost instantly. She expounds on the definition of pride, and how to recognize and revise it in yourself. Pastor Ashley concludes with a call to examine yourself, and to look through the lens of the Holy Spirit to uproot pride at its source.

Happy New Year, Relentless family! Pastor Malik Edwards brings the first message of the new year, affirming a presence-driven culture for the church in 2020. In the Old Testament, Moses implored God, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here." That is the prayer of Relentless for 2020. God wants to be present in every of our lives, but we must enter into His presence, not the other way around.

Learn more about finishing strong this Sunday with Pastor Malik Edwards. Finishing strong is about remembering what the Lord has brought you through in the past. Your remembrance will open the door of your breakthrough. Finishing strong is about positioning yourself in praise, reflection, repentance, forgiveness, and prayer. The position of your heart will get you into place to finish strong.

This Sunday, Pastor Krystal Gowan begins the end-of-year sermon series entitled "Finish Strong." Today she talks about a word she received from the Lord about remembering what you have and who you are. We are quick to remember God in crisis-mode, but we are slow to remember His covenant. When you remember what you have, you remember that you have a covenant with the Lord. Thankfully, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us to remind us everything Jesus taught. He reminds us what we have and who we are in the Lord.

Pastor Tim Campbell brings his message on the importance of giving. He reminds us that the blood of Jesus Christ is the true currency as it paid the price for all sin. With our debts eternally paid, we are free to use our resources: our time and our money to serve others. The spirit of Mammon would have us withhold our finances out fear and a lack of trust in the Lord. But we must renounce Mammon and only serve the Lord, which means entrusting Him with our resources.

This Sunday, Pastor Malik Edwards gives a message on energeo, the power of God that's always at work in you. But in order to step into that power, you must first discern your God-given purpose. God gives power to those who are moving in purpose.

Listen in this Sunday as Pastor Malik Edwards brings another word on the power of God. This week, he focuses on the power of the resurrected life. Paul in Ephesians implores believers to intimately know that power of God. The same power that "raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms" is authorized to us and available through intimacy with the Father. Intimacy comes before power.

Pastor Malik Edwards continues his sermon series on the Power of God. He reminds us that behind our purpose, there should be power. Whatever you preach, you should be manifesting in your own life. While our end goal is to hold power over nations, as promised in Revelations, we must first take authority over our own household.

This Sunday, Pastor Tim Campbell brings a word on God's set time. He reminds us that every trial, every sickness has an expiration date, and God's favor and blessing will manifest in His perfect timing. This Sunday, Pastor Malik Edwards continues his message series on shifting. God wants to deal with the things that are almost dead, but lingering in your life that stop you from shifting all the way. God is going to be touching the deep issues of your heart so that you can shift into this new season of joy and excitement.

Pastor Kevin Ikeda brings a message this Sunday about shifting our mindsets. The famous Great Commission says to "go therefore and make disciples of all the nations." Pastor Kevin identifies four mindset shifts that will equip us to go out and bring in the harvest of the Lord. The first and foremost being that the Church is the laborers who go out into the world, and into the marketplace, to seek out the lost. The harvest is ready, but the laborers are few.

"The Spirit of Jehovah came upon David and gave him great power from that day onward" (1 Samuel 16:13). This Sunday Pastor Malik Edwards brings a Word from the Lord about a new wave that's about to crash and bring about a shift in your life. In this season, God's purpose is more important than your preference. Pastor Malik urges the Church to build up their relationships with the Lord and develop an ear to hear from Him.

This Sunday, Pastor Malik Edwards continues his message series called "Waves: It's Time For a Shift." In this season, it's time to shift your authority. Many people are waiting on God to bring about change, but few people know that God is waiting on them to bring about the change. In the very beginning, God said, "Let mankind have dominion over all the earth." It's time to shift the atmosphere through prayer and intercession. Let your faith activate God's covenant.

This Sunday, Pastor Ashley Edwards challenges the Church to ask the Lord greatly, even for the small things. Don't live your life on autopilot. Build a history with the Lord as He proves His faithfulness with you. God asks us to pursue Him relentlessly so He can give you unlimited access to Him. Psalm 84:11 says, "No good thing will He withhold from those whose walk is blameless." Let God build you up to be effective.

Happy Father's Day to all fathers, stepfathers, adoptive fathers, and spiritual fathers! This Sunday, Pastor Ashley Edwards brings a message on the fear of the Lord. Proverbs 1:7 says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." If you're trying to understand the goodness of God without starting with the fear of the Lord, it's not a full understanding. The fear of the Lord means being fully submitted to God and not leaning on your own understanding.

Listen this Sunday as Pastor Tim Campbell continues the series on Core Expressions with his message about Faith. As Paul’s letter to the Romans says, every man is given a measure of faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Faith requires a deep trust and reliance on God, a surrendering of one’s will to Him. After all, “faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1). Pastor Tim advises us to search our hearts and find out the things we have put our faith in instead of God and to re-establish our connection, our faith, in Him.

“He who rose Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because His Spirit lives in you.” Join Relentless family and friends on this Resurrection Sunday, as Pastor Malik Edwards brings a message on living an unhindered life. Because Jesus Christ was risen from the dead, we have the power and glory of God on our side to sweep away distractions and delays from the enemy. We can take confidence in the fact that because the grave didn’t hold Him down, nothing can hold us down either. On the day of Jesus’ resurrection, he defeated death itself, and a life free from death is a life free from fear. Paul’s letter to the Romans challenges us to constantly walk in newness of life, because God is always doing something new in our lives. Happy Resurrection Day! He is Risen!

For the second message in the Core Expressions series, Pastor Malik Edwards talks about love and honor. 1 John 4:7 says, “Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” Just as God loved us first in our sinful state, He calls us to love others. In this context, to love someone means to prefer them before ourselves. We, as a Church, want to make people our priority. Pastor Malik and Pastor Ashley also discusses the importance of biblical confrontation as an expression of love.
