Today: We take a different kind of interview, as we talk to a developer helping to restore a building in downtown Augusta and to solve one of Augusta's largest needs: Great Downtown Housing Opportunities. Brenden, just in his late 20s, talks about how he is working with the city to fill this need and we talk pretty openly about some of the things holding back others from doing the same.

Addison really jumped onto the Augusta scene after refinishing the old Coca-Cola mural on Reynolds Street and talks to us about how that led to him absolutely blowing up around Augusta, where he has since painted countless murals in a relatively short time frame and has countless more in store, including one project that is going to take the whole STATE by storm.

Today: Glen Ford. Glen is the founder of Operation Clean City, a local organization where volunteers literally clean up the streets of downtown Augusta every Sunday. In operation since 2014, they have cleaned up Augusta over 300 times, but they still need our continued support. Glen is a military transplant who decided to get involved and solve a real problem that he was experiencing in downtown Augusta: litter. Currently deployed to Washington State, Glen is still active in helping keep Augusta clean.

This week we had a very different style of conversation. We went to Savannah River Brewing Company (SRBC) and talked to Brian, Adam, Ann, and Mike. Brian is the marketing manager, Adam and Ann are local brewers that have stuck with Augusta, and Mike is the General Manager, so we really got to see a lot of different perspectives of how one of Augusta's first breweries got started! This week we talked to Walter E. Dyer, the owner of an exciting coffee shop that's about to have its 1-Year Anniversary in downtown Augusta: Ubora. Walter is originally from Southern California, and he lived and worked in corporate America all on the West Coast before joining the Navy and calling Augusta home. Him and his husband have been in Augusta since 2017, and plan to be here for many more year! We were so honored to have former Mayor and current Man of Many Hats, Deke Copenhaver on our show this week! He published a book just this past May called "The Changemaker," which has reached an international audience. He chairs the All In Augusta Fundraising Campaign , which raises money towards developing downtown. He runs Copenhaver Consulting, which helps locals in any industry improve their business or nonprofit.
We would like to thank the CVB (Convention & Visitor's Bureau) & Bennish Brown, though he could not be with us for the interview, for having us this week! It's so beautiful on every level (literally, we were on the third floor).
