Why won’t the feds allow veterans to receive VA access to medical marijuana? Veterans have done a lot (some of it unimaginable) to serve our country. The consequences of that service can be detrimental. However, Cannabis is known to manage many of these physical and mental consequences. Yet, the VA does not recommend Cannabis for these ailments, preferring, in general, to stick with pharmaceutical prescriptions. In this episode, we share our research and ideas regarding why the feds keep hatin’ on VA recommended medical marijuana.

This bonus episode of That’s a Doobie is a family friendly one, so if you’re comfortable, and ready, you can use this episode to help have a conversation with your teen about 420, yep….420.

Our Producer, Renita, is also a CannaParent advocate. She encourages parents, particularly those who use cannabis, to be open, responsible, and honest about the plant. In this audio presentation, Renita discusses how teens can be better prepared to handle the 420 celebration legally and responsibly.

Of course, we know teens shouldn't be smoking weed and vapes, but we also know what our lives were like when we were teens and Renita believes it’s best to take a pro-active approach to Cannabis vs a reactive approach.

Her presentation includes a brief history about 420, a brief overview of Cannabis laws, and tips to help teens prepare for 420 if they happen to find themselves around weed during that time. You may not want to grab your libations for this one, but here we go anyway.

This presentation was originally created, by request, for a youth group based in Chicago, IL., and is being made available for public use as a free resource for Marijuana misuse prevention.

TRIGGER WARNING: Host Omari Jalan and guest Mark (Writer, Entrepreneur, and creator of now defunct website "Officer Downey") have a brutally honest conversation about Mark's abusive youth at the hands of his step-father, who was also a cop. Mark touches on how cannabis helped him endure his suffering and later helped him cope with Complex PTSD. This conversation gets dark and heavy, but also light and fun with jokes about weird tasting high snacks and hot opinions about social equity in Illinois. Listener discretion is advised.

If you or someone you love are in immediate danger, please call 911 or seek professional help.

Mally Maal isn't the only one who messed around and got a hold of the Cannabis "Sidewalk" strain. Sometimes, folks need to learn when to just sit down. And oh yeah: please, no DWI (driving while high). It's illegal, it's not safe, and horrible things can happen.

Sidewalk Strain (joke): Weed or Marijuana that you purchase or find from a completely unreliable source, such as a sidewalk, that causes you to do some completely dumb stuff after consumption.
