My favourite thing about what I do…

The minute I realised that I’d had enough of working for the school system was the minute my life changed.

And I’ve never looked back.

Being your own boss means there’s always something new to learn on so many levels. There are endless choices to make…from the big-picture vision and strategy…to the day-to-day sales, marketing, accounting, and so on.

I used to love being on the front lines of all that. But tbh, these days I’m really enjoying the role of a “behind the scenes ninja” in several business partnerships.

Learning how to stay productive (work a couple of hrs a day kinda thing) train my client’s teams, find my “squad” of supporters, make a lot mistakes + bounce back…it’s all part of the journey.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is staying true to what you really want. For me it was important to build businesses that allow for more play time every day. Call me a kid, I’m okay with that. But I can’t be werking hours on end, my body shuts down and I can’t handle it. Legit.

Mid week get aways are also really nourishing and this photo dump sums up a great couple of days exploring more of this incredible country.

Anyways, what do you love most about doing what you do?

What other biz coaches won't tell you about going from employee to entrepreneur…

A lot of biz coaches will give you their opinion on the best thing to do to start your business.

And they have great advice…but how do you know if it applies to you?
It’s not always easy to tell the difference!

The truth is, no expert can give you the best advice without knowing your goals, priorities, and challenges you’re facing right now in reaching them.

I believe there are three reasons why some teachers - despite feeling overwhelmed and don't even like their school, won’t leave. If you’re here, then you’re probably one of the two I can help. The other type of teacher isn’t ready to find a way out.

  1. You think you don't have time to search for a new job, a new opportunity, a new way to create impact and income.

I used to dread looking for another job, re-writing a resume, and then going for interviews. It felt like 'looking for another job, was another job' but that's until I discovered a way to repurpose my skills as a teacher and create my own business.

  1. You are terrified of change.

I've worked with and seen so many incredible, strong and clever AF teachers get stuck at schools they hate because they don't see the point in leaving when the next school is probably the same. Kinda the same reason people stay in crappy toxic relationships too. What these teachers don't realise is how they are EXPERTS on what 'shouldn't happen and have the solutions to problems other businesses have.

  1. You're okay with being unhappy.

Remember I said the other type of teacher who is ready to find another way, yeah well "Karens" exist everywhere, who complains about everything but still sticks around? like WTF? unfortunately, I can't help you, Karen.

I’m hoping that you are the teacher that is overwhelmed and thinks you don’t have time to explore what exists beyond the classroom, or you are the scared teacher crippling with imposture syndrome right now. If you’re one of those teachers, I can help you shift perspective, create an exit plan and repurpose your skills in a way that is impactful, fun, and profitable.

A helpful business tip I discovered while I was watering my little plants in my casa and on the patio...

I had big dreams. I wanted a garden but living in a condo, meant turning my home and patio into a little zen den garden space. Everyone loves a garden. I could start the morning by sitting in my "garden" and sipping on my tea while I journal.

Uhhh.

Now I know why people smiled when I said I was going to plant a few seeds and, Boom! make a gorgeous green home…

I remember just looking at my plants wondering why they aren't growing faster, or at all! I'm just focused on rapid growth because I have no idea what else I should be looking for...

I think business is a lot like creating my little garden.

It requires soul-searching and going deeper than you may want. And it requires more of your time and commitment than you want.

The key to success is in the planning and the strategy, and in being clear on your ‘why’ – rather than fast growth.

Who would have dreamed I would learn so many biz lessons from trying to keep plants alive and creating a cozy patio!

PS: Anyone has great gardening tips?

Time for a little self-love and humblebrags...

We're all so busy that we forget or are too embarrassed to celebrate our accomplishments and everything we've achieved.

So today, I thought it would be fun to share some of the places I've been featured:

  • Business Insider Magazine is listed as one of the top podcasts in 2021.
  • Disrupt Magazine, interview for (accidentally) matching my teaching salary in the first year of building my own business.
  • The My Story Podcast, sharing my story from burnt-out teacher to community creator
  • The Entrepreneur, interview why personal sudden trauma was the catalysis to my business growth today.

I'm most proud of the interview with The Entrepreneur tbh, because it gave me a voice to talk about the positive impact trauma can have. Bottom line, it fkn sucks and no one deserves to be mistreated, but when you hit rock bottom and are told by doctors 'you're lucky to be alive it's the kind of wake up call to really get sh*t done!

How about you? Where have you been featured, and which one are you most proud of?

You know how sometimes you get it all wrong, and it just kind of blows your mind? Yeah, so I had to let go of this simple idea to grow my business.

I skipped the reality of personal growth being such a fundamental part of my business journey and went straight into teaching strategies and tools to start an online business. But I finally started listening to my client's feedback and what they really needed from me wasn't the A B Cs to starting a business. It was a safe space to talk about real life as a teacher and work through mindset blocks.

It all makes sense now and in this episode I dive into the shifts and changes as I rebrand and reposition myself as a Mindset & Business Coach for teachers navigating through burnout and career change.

Hey friends,

Okay so this episode is a special one - why? because life for me in the last 120hours has been fkn chaotic, yet I feel grounded and grateful. Weird! I'm back in Mexico and survived hurricane Nora, which came through like a wrecking ball at speeds up to 145km wiping out entire buildings, bridges, and my good friend's well-known restaurant. Today's conversation is basically talking therapy for me to process how/what I'm feeling right now! I cry a lot, so grab your tissues because it gets sensitive AF.

Thank you for listening, I'd love to hear what comes up for you when you join me in today's talk therapy. Slide into my Dm @telina_too.

PRAISE THAN PROMPT! (So teacher of me to say this, but seriously).

  1. Hey (name) please refer to their name, nothing is worse than a generic message - ew!

  2. Find something that you genuinely liked on their feed, a post, caption, story? And compliment them. “Hey (name), that post about XX caught my attention because… (fill in the blanks)

  3. Do this with no hidden agenda attached. Be genuine. Speak genuine. And watch your community grow organically.

Full transparency: my engagement from the front end is pretty pathetic, but I much prefer solid banter via my stories and/or DMs - this is where the magic happens, at least for me.

Right. Now that you’re ready to start a genuine conversation with someone you follow, I challenge you to slide into their DM. Apply these 3 steps and let me know how you go.

Tbh, I don’t know what today means entirely but I have learned that today is one of the best days to manifest the sh*^ out of what you really want.

That’s cute. And all.

But manifesting is no bueno unless you have a strategy to bring it to life. {and in come the woowoo police}

Here’s the thing, I’m 70% masculine 30% feminine! 🤗😂😳 I’m very action oriented, so what I like to do is write out my intentions, plans, dreams, goals (aka brain dump) while listening to @abrahamhickspublications riff hard about manifestation.

Go for a walk w/ @machi_boy_

And then come back to create an actionable strategy plan + also a reward system too. Because ya know, pats on the back are cool but a tangible treat for kicking goals is cool too.

My strategy is simple!

Break down the goal into 3 chunks:
- what can I do right now to get me closer to my goal?
- what are my non negotiable around achieving this goal?
- how will I reward myself for achieving this goal?

If making and achieving goals was easy - everyone would do it and there would be less people wishing for a different situation than what we’re in.

But apparently, they say, people who write their goals down, are more likely to achieve them…

So, grab a pen and paper and write that sh*t down!

Happy manifesting my lovelies ...

Hey Teacher friend,

How annoying is it when people say "work harder" like no! Who even wants to work harder? When choosing to pivot from the classroom and into building your own business, it should be more about 'how to make this easier' than constantly grind, hustle and work hard.  Ya feel me?

What's up teacher friends,

So you wanna turn your skills into some extra cash flow - you're on social media and following all the free tips and tricks and even follow some of the best industry experts and gurus.... But you're still not going 'viral' - why?

Truths, I don't even know how I went viral but I can tell you what I did to nurture the opportunity! One of my reels on Instagram went viral with over 300K views, likes and comments. I saw this as an opportunity to connect with a lot of new people. I personally reached out and engaged in genuine conversations. Very naturally and organically, I gained a few (hundred) ideal followers, many participated in market research and some even enrolled to work with me 1:1.

If you focus too much on what every one else is doing, or what might not be going 'viral' than you're going to miss the beautiful opportunities that actually are coming your way!

Be open to figuring stuff out along the way! Just make a promise that you'll keep showing up, keep doing something every day that is going to get you enjoying your ideal life on your own terms.

What's up teacher friends, today's episode is all about my introduction to personal growth and development and what I took away from working with my first mentor, Lisa Nichols.

Its been a 7ish year journey and it ain't over, thanks to the teachings and influence from Lisa, and our first conversation together she said "I'm just here to stir your soul" !!! Her message was really the introduction to the unpacking of my own journey with stories related to partnership, money, business and even my self. Let’s chat about how Becca is turning her passion and personal journey into extra income!

We connected online late last year and have been working together ever since. Becca is a former teacher who decided to transition into corporate for a salary increase and secure opportunities. But in her heart was still this burning desire to teach, particularly in the wellness space. Something she’s super passionate about! Each week, we explored possibilities dug deep into what her purpose is, her strengths and greatest assets and every session we got closer to nailing down how to make her dream a reality!

Becca wanted to combine her trainings as a yoga + reiki instructor and an Ayurveda consultant and help women in corporate to better manage their health & lifestyle.  Through personalised strategy, tough love, and a lot of trust in the process.... I’m beyond stoked to watch Becca step up and into her role as a facilitator for other women! Her “side hustle” is already fully booked for group sessions and also 1:1 spots throughout May, and we haven’t even officially launched it yet!

Be like Becca. Come learn how to turn your purpose into extra income. Reach out + let’s create a personalised plan and strategies that align with your intentions.

5 MUST HAVES to turn your purpose into income and creating an online business.

Okay teacher friend, I’m just like you and hate reinventing the wheel. I also hate creating systems when there’s already a wealth of amazing resources readily available. The problem for me, when I started this online business was narrowing down the tools and stick to what I prefer and what works.

Here’s my top 5 FREE online tools that will help you create & scale your purpose into income.

  1. @canva incredible for creating graphics, branding colours, and fonts that best represent you.

  2. @calendly.co super simple to plug in / sync with your calendar and use for scheduling calls with clients

  3. Stripe - best for accepting payments from most countries & lowest fees

  4. @slackhq - really great for team communication or supportive groups you might want to create for your clients

  5. @asana - the most effective way {In my experience} for task management + communication

Disclaimer: Not sponsored or affiliated, just sharing what works for me and you're welcome to try as well. I’d love to hear what you’re using and how it helps to manage your side hustle? 😀

Why success doesn’t mean you have to be perfect // 💯

Did you know you don’t need to be perfectly polished to sell your services or be seen as a professional in your field… You want to know the secret to many of our community's success stories in creating profitable side-hustles? It's being more authentically yourself. Stop trying to pretend your something else. Stop trying to pretend you have to be more (or less) than you truly are. Instead, be honest in sharing where you are at now in your journey. People buy from people they can trust and relate to. The 'successful ones' are unobtainable and simply inspiration.

I used to be that person who was obsessed w/ being busy. Always had to be doing something otherwise I felt anxious.

2019-2020 saw me healing from sudden trauma + forced into isolation during an epidemic! It rocked my world yet stretched me beyond what I allowed myself to believe was possible.

Time is a gift.

Not something we’re entitled to.

When I decided to go full time entrepreneur I knew that meant becoming more selfish with my time. Otherwise what’s the point in going against the status quo and disrupting the norm?

I made a promise to myself that I would work on being more present. More intentional. More respectful of my time and that of others. Since up rooting from Mexico and finding my feet further north, some days I think WTF am I doing? Where’s my community? My people? My purpose?

Breathe.

As I then remind myself to celebrate every moment I get!

For a long time I was following the “wrong strategy” and chasing the count of followers.

It was time consuming, energy draining and tbh hardly converting at all. My biz coach suggested that I switch things up a bit. Ditch ghosty + fake accounts & start to engage with genuine followers.

Mild heart attack as my following went down about 1k+ over night.

Here’s the thing: the purge allowed for the right people who want my help to actually find me, see my content, save it, use it and even share it. 🤭🧡

I don’t really understand the whole algorithm thing and it’s not something I invest any time or money learning.

Don’t do what the popular opinion says to do.
Just do what feels more aligned and genuine to you.

Here I am:

👉🏼Ya home girl who decided to ditch the classroom & become a full time entrepreneur.

👉🏼Ya home girl with over a decade of experience in sales and community growth.

👉🏼Ya homie who scaled a business THE WRONG WAY!!

Ya homie is also:

✌🏼Someone who works through anxiety when things feel out of control.

✌🏼Someone who compares her self to people doing 10X more.

✌🏼Someone who invested almost $100K in professional help + self development.

Does this stop me from wanting to create a bigger community of conscious role models and expand a successful organisation?

Hell nah.

Let me tell ya, for a long time, I would hide “what you don’t see” but since stepping into the most uncomfortable and foreign (for me) vulnerable waters… Wow! everything rocketed.

Let this be your reminder that what you see on social media is the polished version of what’s possible.

Choose your mentors intuitively, find ways to fuel from the inside-out and work on surrounding yourself with people who help you feel like anything is possible!

I challenge you, to think about what you’re holding back and not telling others about you?

  • Authentically be and share you! I started sharing my journey from educator to entrepreneur.

  • Ask your ideal clients what they want?I created a pretty simple survey and invited my teacher-friends to give me some feedback. Very quickly and organically I started receiving Dm’s ‘how do I work with you’?

  • Set some goals & roll with it! In the beginning, I thought wow, working with 1-2 teachers sounds dreamy, then 5, 10, 15 and surprised myself by booking out until March this year.

  • You really don’t have to do it like everyone else! I didn’t have a dream team (yet), I was very much a 1 woman show. I refused to pay for advertising, I didn’t (and still don’t) have a big following. Only now, 12 months into it, I’ve got a little team to help me and working with a business coach to help create personalised strategies.

Accidents happen!

Make it a good one.

My approach is development based not solely performance driven!!

Here’s the thing, if you’re looking for performance driven, short-term and field specific results... mentoring might not be for you.

But. If you’re like me (a few years ago) and feeling stuck, undervalued, unsure if teaching is still your purpose or just a job, looking for community, wondering if there’s a holistic approach to transitioning from classroom to profitable side hustle.. Then yeah, hi. I’m here to help.

I teach from experience. I simply share what has worked for me in terms of ditching old beliefs, habits & within 12months of being in business have managed to build + scale a community and net worth that triples my teaching salary.

In 2021 I’m committed to helping another hundred teachers do it too.

And so, Teacher friend, I want to know... if you could find your purpose again and turn it into a side hustle or full time profit... what would you love to be doing??

What's up friends, here I elaborate on one of my Instagram posts during the week. The one that blew up my Dm's with people asking questions.

How I made $7K in a day and now consistently each month, less than 12 months in business!

I birthed The Co & Teli during the epidemic because I saw an opportunity and ran with it. I noticed educators were struggling with the transition from classroom teaching to online-virtual learning during lock-down. I wanted to support them to better cope and balance life and work-obligations rather than teaching them how to teach online. What I learned was they also needed connection and community and had passion projects on the side that kept them feeling sane during chaos. I often questioned, "why if, you could turn that passion into a profitable side-hustle, would you be open to seeing how that works". Most common response OH MY GOD, SERIOUSLY? YES". This is resulted in not only selling out of my 1:1 client spots before I even had a "real - program" but also help teachers feel more valued and an opportunity to create another income.

Thanks to my first newbie clients who saw the value in what I can bring to the table and through their feedback I've been working on creating a course that is open to Beta- participants to trial with me at a discounted price. The Beta-group will kick off next month (March 2021) if this is something that interests you, let's connect

What's up friends, this week's episode I'm joined by one of my biggest role models and (fav uncles) Damien King who caught me by huge surprise as he opens up about life serving in the military for over two decades, what toll it's taken on himself, his marriage and what he is doing now as a result of almost loosing it all.

I'd like to acknowledge him and his community/ brotherhood past and present who have all played a huge role in his life and impacted each other greatly.

Grab your tissues, this conversation is full of laughs and a few tear-jerky moments.

What's up friends, another poll on my IG stories and most of our growing community voted for 'defining the difference between a Mentor and a Coach.

For the record, anything I share is purely based on my own opinion and personal experiences so it's important for you to listen, take what you need and spit out what doesn't resonate with you. In fact, I hope as we journey each week together that you make the commitment to more growth and expansion in yourself. Not just for me, but for you and all the people you (could) impact too.

Today's episode highlights my experience as a coach and then switching hats to a mentoring role, I love it and the flexibility and holistic approach I now share with clients.

What's friends and welcome back to the pod. Wow, happy new year! what a time to be alive! and become more reflective than ever before. Cheers to you and dialling into listen each week. Last season, my solo episodes surprisingly got the most downloads so I decided that season two will be more of me, with you!

I birthed this space as a need for connection and community (two basic human needs, right?) when the epidemic first hit! Almost a year on and this platform has evolved into so much more, not only a hub for me to share and work through my personal experiences but also for you, our community to join in the 'work'.

First episode back got highjacked (by my daily gratitude reminder going off on my phone) so I decided to roll with it and share with you some sentence starters to help you start and finish each day with more gratitude.

Thanks for listening

Ps: let's connect, I love hearing from y'al.

Hey friends,

Wrapping up 2020 with a solo riff raff, opening up, very unscripted as per usual about how I spent the full moon phase of each month. This is really the time to let go of that shi* and set some seriously yummy intentions. What better way to let go of 2020 and call in more love, friendships, opportunities and abundance for the new year.

What's up friends, I can't believe we're almost at the end of 2020, what a ripper year! This solo episode I offer you the opportunity to share what you'd like to hear in season 2 and what my instincts say to speak up more about! I want to say a huge thank you for sticking with me, listening to each week's episode and your on going love, support and feedback. Here's a snippet from my interview with founder Leslie Wardman, we explore how she stumbled into being an expert matchmaker and how she filters out the right match for like-minded singles. I've been invited to chat with her and her team to share more about what happens behind the scenes and how they have been in the business for over 20 years.

I admit, I really thought online dating apps and this idea of Matchmaking was the same... Thank goodness for receiving a crash course 101 and better understanding, there's really no comparison.

What's up friends. You voted again, to hear more about me. This week I open up about my fur baby Machi, why he is so important to me and why I'm incredibly grateful to be experiencing life, growth, expansion with him by my side. Funny story, I often teach my clients to refer to self as No.1 and then your partner/significant other is second. Well...... In my case, I'm one. Machi is two. and my man-to-be is three :) (Consider it third time lucky).

This week I'm joined by Mike Graziano. The youngest Canadian & American male to have visited every country on the planet! His life mission to graduate with a global degree turned into six year operation. Our conversation is so real and unscripted, he didn't even realise we started recording, LOL. We explore many of the highs and how hitting a personal rock bottom was really the catalysis for who he is today and what opportunities have steamed from choosing to be more authentic. From speaking on the TED stage, to writing a book and birthing a business during quarantine as a result of not having a 'real job' but pockets full of skills in story telling and sharing. Mike now spends his days listening to other people's stories and helps to get them desired exposure through media platforms.

What's up friends, the other day I shared a poll on my IG and asked what you wanted to hear this episode. Either a solo riff from yours truly or a juicy conversation between myself and a guest. Majority of y'al voted for a solo riff and today I dive into shifting and lifting, changing the narrative and despite sht hitting the fan.... When you allow yourself to just let that sht go, oh man.... Life becomes waaaay more meaningful, lighter, more aligned and a heck more flow.

I'm a sucker for feedback and genuine engagement be sure to follow me on IG @telina_too and over at @thecoandteli. Let's keep having these really awkward yet awaking conversations with each other, I know it's a huge release for me and gathering by your DM's and inbox messages you're vibe'n too.

Today’s guest is a very good friend of mine, someone who hunted me down on Facebook when she first arrived to my former home town PV, Mexico. Taylor Wade felt like I'm someone who could help her create a community, naturally I replied to her DM with hell yeah! We grabbed a green juice and have been lady boss girl-fan crushing each other ever since.

Taylor cofounded Ambiance Matchmaking at age sixteen. Since its founding in 2002, her focus is storytelling and content creation through writing and podcasting. On the contrary of this year being a big fat mess for a lot of people, she remains humble and admits it was actually one of the best years in her life. Huge break throughs in personal growth, her company evolved and really spiked and her personal relationship reach a whole new level of greatness.

I want to preface that our convo today is very much a typical “kitchen table” approach to how we dive into some tricky topics and banter back and forth. Quite often our conversations have turned into priceless therapy sessions, for the both of us.

I invite you to join us today as we explore what Taylor is discovering about her self through change of lifestyle, exploring plant medicine and implementing daily habits.

This week's guest is someone I connected with online, nope not Tinder, but a community group I created in PV, Mexico. She was spending a couple of months in town and was looking for like-minded people to mingle with. I was hosting regular “tasting parties” pot luck style Sunday brunch and she came along. Krysta (aka Lady Chaga) Originally from Canada, She started her own ad agency at 24, Sold everything & moved to Malaysia to work for Mind Valley 4.5 years later. This savvy entrepreneur Co-founded a wellness startup in Kuala Lumpur before starting her own company called Wild Remedies. She Launched Wild Remedies at Bali Spirit festival and almost went to jail for having 50 lbs. of brown mushroom powder in her bag. Lady Chaga is passionate about conscious connections and today we’re going to chat about the power of community and why she stayed in a toxic relationship how that affected her health, her business and also became the fuel for kicking serious ass in new personal and business goals.

Today I’m joined with one of my very first mentors, someone who breathed belief into me and held my hand every step of the way as I began exploring mindset development. This week I'm joined by fellow Aussie and educator, Mikeely Roberts. She's a former pro athlete who quickly became severely fatigued and burnt out. Today’s guest is someone I met a few years ago at a wellness event and I’ve really enjoyed watching her grow and expand as a person and in her business.  She’s a healthy lifestyle expert, media personality and entrepreneur. Today's episode, I'm joined with someone who lives, breaths and creating community through music. I’m a huge fan of his love for hiphop music and classic vinyls. Back in Mexico at least in the beach town we’re from, old school R&B music isn’t really a thing. Sergio Aka, DJ stress and I met out one night, he was new to town and we ended up at this dive bar with my kind of music. What are the chances. I remember seeing this guy killing it on the dance floor and thought “he ain’t from around here”. A former collage teacher for communications who chose to ditch that & travel the world and create music with brands such as MTV, Redbull, Nike and even debuted at Fashion week. He’s renowned for mashing it up on the vinyls and lives by the motto “make DJs great again”.

Okay, listen up Teachers/Educators, this episode/aka riff is dedicated to you. I am you. I see you. I'm with you. I want to show you how to turn your passion into uncapped profit. I went to town with brain dumps and mastermind-maps while in quarantine and I have come up with a KISS* (keep it super simple) way to create your own online teaching model. It's the perfect resource if you're serious about making a difference while enjoying your ideal lifestyle! As a former teacher, I get it! You get the job done, for the sake of the students. But why not use the same energy, passion and mojo in creating something of your own. Online. profitable. and location free? If you want to stay teaching at school, great but just know it's okay to want more.

You've already got the teaching skills, the difference is working for yourself or working for an employer that will never match your salary for your efforts. Ps, soz about dropping the F-bomb, it comes out effortlessly when I'm fired up about something!

Happy Monday, friends. Today's episode is w/ Bobby Speaks and we celebrate his 'coming out' not w/ rainbows and glitter but he created a platform to support and encourage men's health. Happy HUMP DAY friends!!! Today, I thought to try something a little different and share a sneak peak of a very lengthy yet juicy conversation with my buddy Liam Fitzgerald. This creative ninja is most famous for his jungle electronic music, charm and that gawd damn man bun. We spoke for over two hours about all things love, life, business, and the impacts of Covid-19 on the music industry, which I'll drop the full conversation soon. In the mean time, I wanted to share the tail end of our chit-chat because I felt like his openness to talk so freely and simply about exploring the masculine and feminine as a young man was very insightful. Today’s I’m joined by an incrediblyinspiring role model in my life and so many other people. Jodi Orgill Brown was introduced to me through a mutual friend and I’ve enjoyed building up a trust worthy relationship purely through social media. She discovers unique life lessons everyday, especially from audio books, her husband and her children. Her story, "The Sun Still Shines" is an Amazon Bestseller and a multiple award-winning book.

Today we’re going to explore what community and connections means to Jodi, what's one thing she wish she knew before her life changed instantly, and why she lets her husband take charge with many of their decisions. This episode, I’m joined by a good ol' Aussie who lives in Bali and is a real testament to "don’t judge a book by its cover". If you follow him on Instagram you’ll be impressed by his well sculpted body and beautiful lifestyle photos but unless you read his thought provoking content, you might miss the dept to his critical thinking. Ben Kelly opens up about shifting from rock bottom and depression to saying YES to an opportunity that has made change possible.

Ben explains how his hunger to learn, feeds the macro wins to becoming a self made millionaire and fellow personal development & freedom junkie. Him and his sister retired their mum, by impacting thousands of people’s lives physically and financially through their network marketing business. He has recently made his private support groups more available for people by co-creating a community of conscious role models called The TCR COLLECTIVE a focused approach to wellness, less stress, growth and more freedom.

Despite all the success, he’s still a very modest and private person. Today we explore what community means and he doesn’t hold back from letting it rip about tools and resources to create change because it’s very possible.

Welcome back to another brain dump on your Thursday, third time lucky and we're on a roll. In this episode, Telina lets it rip about the value of having a coach, consultant, mentor (whatever tittle you want to call it) simply someone who has 'been there, felt that' and through personal experience willing to help you navigate through your own set backs to move forward in personal and/or business goals.  She opens up about another personal experience and shares a little story about the good old swipe-app, matching, getting naked, hitting a home run and discovering that secret sauce that only you have, all in 90 days of dating (aka giving your coach the permission to spank you with another perspective and help you pivot from feeling stuck to having unshakable belief in creating change). It's raw, unscripted and very Telina, so be prepared to laugh, cry, cringe and write down some notes because theres plenty of thought provoking questions that she throws at you, very deeply and suddenly.

It's so refreshing to hear from people who have achieved fame and fortune, open up about humble beginnings and share with us the story before the glory. Today I'm joined with Samson Smith (Aka B-Boy Sammy). From being laughed at and told his dream of traveling the world, dancing and getting paid for it was too big. To accomplishing more than he could have ever imagined. Originally from NZ, moved to Australia after being 'sold' a dream and a vision to make it big time. Turns out, he didn't get the mansion promised and spent a couple of years busking on the streets before going on to win Australia’s got talent as part of Justice Crew. They’re a breakdancing group that got signed with Sony and surprised themselves with chart topping No. 1 songs and winning an Aria (which is like the Aussie grammys). His biggest secret to balancing a loving relationship and a thriving business together with his partner is to “stay in your lane”. B-boy Sammy is a proud co owner and creative director of Base 181 Studios where kids of all ages come together sharing a similar mindset and embrace a real sense of community. We'll dive into and laugh about all things, connections and of course community because it’s something that is super important to him as a role model for many others.

How exciting, this episode I'm joined by the Aussie bird who convinced me to make the move to Mexico. Kimila McPherson, ditched her career as a former nurse to explore life as a wellness coach, yoga teacher, dream chaser and cacao connoisseur. This episode, I'm joined with my good friend, and a man of colour who provides us with an insight into current events regarding #Blacklivesmatter. Nabil Skily, says despite the costs of labels, racism, exclusion and unable to defend himself in many situations, he feels privileged and also very lucky in many ways. We explore how the school system is failing a lot of youngsters, we talk about the power of community and why creating that sense of belonging for yourself and others is valuable.

Stoked to host another episode of Paper Planes Podcast and this week's conversation dives into a taboo topic called 'death' and healing in the most destructive ways before seeking help from others. Joining me, from my second home, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is one of my weirdos and good friend Mariana Colibri, founder of Colibri Holistic Centre, Meditation practitioner, Blogger, music composer and her favourite and most rewarding 'job' is being a full time mum. Mariana opens up about the topic of connections; her journey of loosing two babies previously and how dealing with death without a respectful ceremony resulted into numbing pain with anything that altered her state of consciousness. She talks about therapy being the turning point and a safe space to speak up without feeling judged and how conversations like what we're having today can help to not focus on the good or the bad but to just enjoy it. Show notes available here. Updates and good goss on Insta at @thecoandteli .* FOLLOW to not miss out on the next conversation.

You asked for it, so we're delivering the goods. We put a poll up on our Instagram story and asked what you want to hear more about. Over 89% of our followers voted for more of Telina's infamous riffs. She resisted sharing her perspectives and wisdom during such a tender time we're all trying to navigate through. Coming to the tail end of social isolation during Covid-19 and more recently another global crisis about racism and injustice. If Telina doesn't start modelling why it's important to think about your own thinking, then when will we become more conscious of our own thoughts? Her conversation style is raw and she'll drop the F* bomb casually too. She openly shares as her brain automatically downloads the information as she's processing. Consider this segment as an insight into how she thinks about her own thinking. It's an invitation for you to get curious. Why you do what you do? Why are some of the things she shares triggering you? And how are you going to work on changing that for yourself?

I know I said these conversations would be all about community, connections and conscious wealth (and every episode allows for that) but I'm so fortunate to have conscious couples and fellow entrepreneurs all around me and Sally & Martyn kick things off with an absolute bang! This is my very first recording and I couldn't have picked a more inspiring young couple who have truly cracked the code in thriving as successful business and life partners. We met in Mexico a few years ago and I was instantly drawn to them, we dive into life before success, limiting money beliefs and why they are now building an unshakable belief about creating more for themselves and their clients. Martyn shares an intimate moment in life when meditation became a distraction and Sally fires up about three key steps they take every day to ensure they're on the same page and kicking ass in goals together.

This is a BONUS conversation to introduce your host Telina. Now you're probably thinking, why the podcast title "her story, not mine" and that's because in this episode she lets it rip about the girl she used to be and is confidently changing. She's known to be a go-getter and a resilient warrior, but you probably have no idea what she's been through to develop a thicker layer of skin under that infamous RBF! (not sure what that is? Google it!). This conversation was recorded in May, 2020 at a time when she was at the tail end of working through a traumatic experience that literally rattled her brain, left her unconscious and almost killed her. Fast forward, being stuck in isolation during a global epidemic Covid-19, inspired Telina to birth this podcast as a means to brain dump, share personal experiences and to create a safe space that allows for open conversations about all things connections, community and conscious living.

This is the very first conversation on the Paper Planes Podcast & giving you an insight into why a podcast & where did the name idea come from? Telina our founder and host/mc likes to keep her conversation style casually candid so expect to hear her less polished as she reflects on what Paper Planes means and what the vision is the brand The Co. & Teli. This is all very new for Telina and she'll figure it out along the way. Show notes will become available at the end of each episode, welcoming genuine feedback and of course a 5 star review.
