What would happen if you actually gave your friendships the same energy and attention you give your intimate partnerships or even your health? This new and final episode of the Sisterhood Series on Soulful chats, Doing the inner friendship work with Cassie Mendoza-Jones, is a story of what can happen when we give love and attention to our friendships.Last year, Cassie reached out to me to inquire about Sisterhood School. There was a niggle inside of her that was calling her to heal past friendship experiences for herself and also for her daughter. She had some long held beliefs around friendship and wanted to re-write them to enable her to have greater acceptance for her different types of friendship and feel enough in her friendship.Cassie Mendoza-Jones is the bestselling author of You Are Enough and It’s All Good, and Aligned and Unstoppable (Hay House), and a kinesiologist, NLP practitioner, business alignment coach, podcast co-host, naturopath, writer and speaker. She works with women, and with entrepreneurs, healers, coaches and creatives who are driven, devoted and honouring their dreams, and who want to become more powerfully aligned with their bigger vision, reprogram their mind and beliefs toward success, and create more of what they really want in their business and life.Through her writing, bestselling books, online courses, workshops, meditations, private coaching and social media presence, she supports women in clearing their blocks, aligning their energy, and changing their beliefs about what’s possible for themselves. We chat on,* Healing from past friendship experiences * Changing your friendship beliefs; from only having one friendship circle is the only way to do friendships to accepting many different friendship circles * Receiving friendship invitations that do not feel aligned, yet you find yourself saying yes to feel included, when you know you really wanted to say no * Adjusting your friendship catchup to suit your current life situation * Demonstrating healthy friendships to your children * Releasing friendships and trusting the stage of your friendships * Friendship breakups being harder than breaking up with a intimate partner * Feeling enough in your friendships

Today’s episode of Soulful Chats is about uncovering + embracing your authentic truth through Human Design.
This episode offers you an introduction into Human Design, what it is, some of its elements and a small deep drive into the different types of human design. Human Design brings together the ancient wisdom of Astrology, the I Ching, the Chakras, the Kabbalah — with modern science — Quantum Physics and Genetics, to offer you insights into who you are meant to be in this lifetime.
I also share with you examples of how human design gave me the permission to BE ME (and could do the same for you). Having my chart read felt like the first time I was completely seen in my authenticity. If I am really honest, It was nothing new, but an empowering kick up the butt to BE ME and get off that comparison trap of trying to be everyone else but ME. And I truly believe this is possible for everyone who uncovers their human design chart.

In today's episode of soulful chats, I share with you an honest and raw insight into my own friendships. An episode on my journey of friendships, where I share my journey from letting go of how I thought friendships should look to how I began accepting my friendships, my different friendships, the different layers of friendships and having a collection of deep different friends. My friendships have gone from many, from initiating the majority of our catch ups, from feeling like I had lots of friends but no deep friendships, and from feeling a constant struggle to relate and connect. So what do my friendships look like post my twentiesWell they are layered. And I have many different ones. Some have developed over time. Through school relationships, others through work or even my yoga studio. Some are full of sharing our stories and challenges and some are easy and light. Some come easier than others and others feel harder. But I stay because I know she is a tribe member. But all have an ability to speak their truth. To hold space for each other. To be ok if the other says no or reschedules. To celebrate each other even if what we are celebrating is something the other has longed for, for a long time. And own our role in our friendship. This has all happened because I have found a home. A home with me. An acceptance of me and that has rippled effect into the friendships around me. They are my home. They are my sisters.Additional friendship episodes include Episode 5 & 6 | Friendship check in.
Over the past few weeks many of us are moving through lots of uncertainty. This never ending cycle of being in lockdown and the unknown of when we can make plans and they can actually come to fruition with ease.In the past week I have experienced one of my greatest opportunities to let go and surrender to life’s plan. This process was so scary for me, I didn’t want to let go and trust, I wanted to control everything. But what I learnt over the past week is that everything is uncertain and I can only control what I can control. That includes showing up for my dreams and my desires and taking radical action, whilst being unattached to the outcome. Trusting that showing up will deliver what I desire. So often when we are leaning into trusting our inner knowing, we hear voices from those we know (and often love) questioning the decision we are making, placing their own concerns onto us and ultimately taking us further away from what we desire. Too often we leave it there. We do not pursue our dreams or desires based on what others think. But what if we stopped doing this? What if we stopped considering others opinions and beliefs over our own? What if we actually considered our own opinion before we even opened up to others? What if we trusted ourselves enough to maange whatever life throws at us, trust we have the resources and capabilities to manage everything and therefore always come back to trusting what we know to be true for us.In this episode I share with you my journey of trusting and surrendering to this recent lockdown in Melbourne. How I moved through it and some soulful questions I asked myself as I navigated this challenging time and a challenging decision I had to make.
Today’s episode of Soulful Chats is about owning our boundaries. I recently had a boundary overstepped, I felt frustrated, angry and bitter but it led me to realise I had an uncommunicated boundary and I was not honouring myself. I share with you today my own journey of owning (and not owning) my boundaries, why this happens and how to start honouring ourselves, our needs and desires and create beautiful boundaries out of love for ourselves.

In todays Episode of Soulful Chats, I am taking you on a journey back 70 years ago with my checky Grandmother, known as Granny B, as she takes us on a trip back to what it was to be twenty in the 1940's & 1950's.
I wanted to get Ganny B on to hear if the struggles and challenges we face today in our twenties were similar to the ones she faced when she entered her twenties.
Today Ganny and I talk on* What she was doing in her twenties
* What was expected of her in her twenties
* The War & being in the Australian Women’s Airforce
* Having children in her 30's
* Supporting her husband whilst he got his degree
* Her advice for women in their twenties today
The sound quality is a bit off in today's episode and my Granny can be hard to hear at some times but I hope you find this episode inspiring and maybe.. it even prompt you to be grateful for the opportunities we have in our lives today.
Today's episode is a bit of a passionate download. One that came through me after a long beach walk. About who we are truly committed to being? Is that the future you, you desire to be? Or are you committed to the person you are today?I share with you an analogy of using a book to describe how we are living. Our life represented as a book, pages represented as moments, chapters of our life represented as chapters of our book and our front cover as a moment in time. Yet what many people fail to realize is, they do actually get to choose their front cover! Instead what many do, is let an experience, a moment in time, intertwine into every aspect of their lives, letting this one moment dictate how we live. Maybe it's a bad breakup and thinking there are no good men out there. Maybe it's a job rejection and thinking you will never get a job. Or maybe it's your parents' separations and thinking is marriage really all the answers. In this episode, I invite you to really ask yourself how committed are you to the things you say you want? Are you committing to your present self, the one that may be letting a certain experience run your life OR are you committed to stepping into a future version of yourself, that you say you want to be and begin co creating the life you truly desire? This is not to say there is anything wrong with your present self. It's rather who do you need to become to call in what you say you want in your life. I share with you what gets in the way of you actually moving towards your future self, ways to move through this and how you can actually be your future self today.I also share a lot of personal examples, from my decision to stop drinking and how this shifted some of my friendships but was essential in me coming home to myself, to my relationship with the word marriage and leaving the world of both Mike and I being accountants and how this shifted dynamics in our relationship. The sound quality is a bit off but I hope you find this episode's message as powerful as I felt recording it after embodying over the past few months.
I am so honoured to have my very own mentor and coach, Kirsten Morrison on the podcast for a very raw-authentic conversation. Kirsten is an Empowerment Coach guiding women to break up with their inherited self and claim their authentic, inherent self. She is the host of the EXPRESSED. podcast, an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner, Breathwork Facilitator and alchemises it all through the lens of Human Design. It's her mission to support women to remember their magnificence. She's a stand for radical self belief, self trust, authenticity and amplifying your gifts to create the impact your soul came here to create. By using the incredible foundation of human design, she supports you to do it in a way that is energetically aligned for YOUR unique blueprint and no one else's. Because your way is the only way - you ARE the exception to the rule, because you're exceptional. This woman is an absolute superstar and was actually the lady who planted the seed for me to create this podcast. In this episode, Kirsten and I laugh a lot, as well as talk about her journey through her twenties. We chat about Not knowing who we are and as a result taking on identities of those around us (aka Kirsten trying to be everything Paris Hilton) * Changing our twenties from the years of needing to have everything together to the years of exploration and understand who we are * Asking the big questions, such as “Are the timelines you are placing on yourself your time lines or someone else's?, What do you want from this life and what is the cost of not living your life”* * Doing what society says you should do and experiencing a thirty something meltdown vs. experiencing a twenties something crisis leading you to explore and understand who you are so the rest of your life is a true reflection of who you are * Rediscovering yourself and embracing the life you are currently living * No dream is too big * Knowing you wont turn into a pumpkin at 30 years old
Kirsten shares what led her to truly trust and believe in herself and reminds us that we are never really going to be this version of ourselves again, so why not slow down and be with her.My favourite quote from today's episode, which really sets the sense for the entire episode and also for why I wanted to have her on the podcast to have this twenties something conversation…“We finish uni at 24/25... if we are lucky. Then we have 6 years to build our career, get our house, get our car, travel and have babies… are you farking serious… how the fark is that going to happen! I literally thought I needed to have all of that done. So of course we are lost, stressed and under all this pressure…. Because we think in 5-6 years we have to achieve everything we want in life… that is ludicrous.”This is a very raw and unedited episode, because well Kirsten keeps it raw and unedited so I thought I would trust this episode is perfect as it is. Enjoy all the laughs, tangents and LOL moments. You can connect with Kirsten atwww.kirstenmorrison.co .IG @kirstenmorrison.coClubhouse @kirstenmorrisonFacebook: www.facebook.com/kirstenmorrisoncoTwitter: @kirstmorrisonco
Introducing Eliza Johnstone, a beautiful woman who is passionate about french, painting, exercise, eating healthy and connecting with epic humans. She is also one of my beautiful clients and I am so excited to bring her on the show today. When Eliza and I started coaching together over 6 months ago, Eliza was feeling unsure about who she was, what she liked and what she was passionate about. She felt stuck in a constant battle of self doubt and self criticism and couldn't make a decision alone. In 6 months she has gone from not knowing her feelings, always being super busy and feeling like she was turning 25 and not really sure what she wanted in life to knowing who she is, knowing she is more than her career, being able to understand her emotion and process them, to making a decision by herself and trust that decision! She now feels like she belongs in her body, feels more connected to her friends and is able to have more vulnerable conversations as well as a clear vision for her career and what she wants in the next few years of life.We chat about how she worked through her self doubt, being stuck in the comparison trap, how she is able to spend time alone and fulfill her own needs. As well as how she has stopped relying on external things to fulfill her, like friends, her career and instead is taking full ownership for creating her best life, by switching her mindset, meditating daily and taking care of herself in her every day routine.Want these results for yourself? Sam Bailey is a successful Sydney based health journalist and yoga teacher who brings her whole heart to everything she does. Sam is master in taking leaps of faith and trusting herself and as we chat today, she is taking her third leap of faith and perhaps the biggest pivot of all... as she begins studying social work with plans to specialise in men's mental health counselling, after her men's yoga class 'Broga,' sparked a whole new sense of joy, meaning and as she puts it - 'dharma' (path or purpose)! In this episode, Sam and I chat about her journey of taking leaps of faith, trusting herself and the timing of her life! Sam calls her twenties the self work years, as she nativates being independent for the first time, managing the adult things, whilst still trying to have fun and experience the carefree twenties! We talk about letting go of certain timelines of things we want to happen in our twenties! And how to stay committed when some of our twentysomething goals don't come to fruition in our twenties. The importance of not ignoring the niggles in your body! As she truly believes our bodies have all the wisdom you need to live your best life! We also touch on how to come back from setbacks and job losses and not being ruled by anyone else, which comes with a deep level of acceptance for yourself and those around. And really soooo much more! So let's dive in!Follow Sam Here:https://www.soulyogabysam.com/Instagram: soulyogabysam
In today's episode of Soulful Chats we are shifting gears! After reflecting on my clients journeys and my own path, I realised there was a theme of a woman experiencing a mid twenties crisis! A crisis of feeling like nothing is really wrong, but nothing feels right either. It's like there is all this pressure as we hit our twenties to figure out our lives and to have everything together by the time we are thirty!I personally want to throw this belief out the door (cause I now know, it's not true) and begin having conversations about our twenties. I truly believe our twenties are a time of discovering who we are, building a solid foundation of who we are and as we do, everything we desire will happen because it’s simply an extension of who we are! What better way to do this, than having conversations with women who have pivoted in their twenties and who are now in their thirties and beyond! The first guest on Soulful Chats to have this conversation is Grace Cotton. Grace is an ex-lawyer turned nutrition student, mother and wife, who has recently launched her own healthy breakfast business, Active Oats. Grace is passionate about health and wellness, and passionate about helping others start the day the right way with a nourishing breakfast. Grace also took a mega career pivot in her twenties which is why I wanted to get her on the podcast. In this episode we chat about what led her to make her pivot, how she listened to her intuition, as well as reflect on her twenties, the expectations she had going into her twenties and the wisdom she now has looking back. Grace clearly lives with no regrets and I cannot wait for you to dive deep into this episode with us!To find out more about Grace, her business and grab your breaky to go, check out https://www.activeoats.com.au/Instagram: activeoats
We all have unique ways of handling our emotions, yet so often I see women stuck in their emotions, suppressing their emotions and unable to process their feelings, leading them to feel stuck and blocked. This happens because emotions are energy in motion and if we are unable to move this energy, we will remain stagnant and stuck, only attracting more of this lower vibrational emotion. As the emotions we feel become the energy we emit. Meaning our emotions will attract more of that type of emotion and energy. In today’s episode of Soulful Chats, I share with you how to identify your emotions using the Emotional Guidance Scale, how to handle your emotions, understanding the stories behind your emotions and the meanings you may be creating about your emotions. Plus share with you many tips and practices to release and shift your emotions so you can get back to feeling a higher vibrational emotion, like joy in your life!We do not have to be at the mercy of our emotions. We just have to know how to handle them, so we can return to feeling good and as a result of feeling good, we attract more of what we desire in our life. Let's do this!
Have you ever found yourself saying “I don't know what I need?” I don't know how I am feeling?” In today’s episode of Soulful Chat’s we continue our conversation in learning how to trust ourselves, by learning how to tune into our needs and our bodies. At any one point in our lives, information is being shared with us and is our job to tune in, hear it and honour it! And when we do, we feel confident in ourselves, in what we need and what we want.
I share with you several ways to tune into your unmet needs and understand what these needs are actually sharing with you and how you can take responsibility for your needs. As well as the signs your body is sharing with you. You know that little niggle that you have been ignoring, well its trying to tell you something.
I take you through an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to support you in getting back in touch with your physical body. SO if your feeling disconnect, numb or struggling with physical pain this practice is a great way to begin hearing what your body is trying to tell you.
Do you feel like you're always in your head making life decisions and then doubting them weeks later? Do you long to trust yourself? In this episode, I share with you just how you can connect with your inner voice (your inner gal) for guidance on how to live your life through your heart and not your head. I share with you ways to identify when you are living from a place of your inner critic vs. living from your intuition and how to create a life that's truly aligned with who you are and what you (and your inner gal) want! Make sure you listen to the end of this episode as I share with you how my inner gal led me to meet my love!
Happy New year! The new year has begun and one of my favourite times of the year is here. Intention setting! Yet after the year we had last year, this year's intention setting practice needed to be a little bit different. So in today’s episode of Soulful Chat’s, I chat with you about calling in the new year, how to set your intentions with clarity and ease and the importance of taking time to BE before you set your intentions.
